Well the new elevator sure looks very nice I like the wood around the door frame on the outside and the wood walls inside the cab

Our city loop train stations still have old Otis escalators Melbourne Central Flagstaff and Parliament but they’re maintained by elevator tech they’re not maintained by Otis any more
Aw, sad to see them escalators go. But on the bright side their cool and so is the elevator. Cool motor on that elevator too!!!! ❤️❤️

In my 40 year career...I had (4) of these in that same vintage. I had suggested for many years these either be upgraded or removed. A year after I retired they removed them and built steps...LOL They had (3) elevators that served those floors.... they gambled with safety of the public to save money. They were totally worn out 10 years prior, Of all things I worked on.... escalators scared me the most.... basically...meat grinders!....

Series 7 is a false term. This would be a Newer Series 4.
I'm very sad that the old OTIS escalators are gone but the new OTIS Series 7 Hydrofit is nice and it has an EPIC MOTOR

A bog stranded otis boring elevator replacing the eslactor is worser than removing the escalator
Put a new Escalator and find space for the new elevator if you don't have space beside the stairs & escalator

These are the same model escalators that are at the Atlanta Marriott.
They took the escalators out due to non-ada compliance.

Wait, is hydraulic still a thing? I thought that got replaced by MRL. I haven’t seen a new hydraulic install in what must be getting on for 15-20 years now - it’s all MRL.

Yeah by they already had stairs before. But it appears they needed to rebuild the stairs to install the elevator.
As disappointing as it is to see those escalators go bye-bye, at least the elevator has a decent motor. It isn't the best, but it's better than them sticking to some generic crap elevator.
