Whether you live on a farm acreage or a suburban plot of land, why would you carry around the deed/ownership documents to your property? Someone in authority wants proof that you own your property, easy enough for them to check the municipal records. They want proof that you live on this property, easy enough to show some utility bills with your name and address on them.
If people actually do carry around such important documents, then I wonder about them.
That someone carries their deed around in their pocket while harvesting a crop makes the first story sound bogus. Most people would keep something like that in a safe.
right?
Bogus, baloney, counterfeit, fraudulent, and fake. I gotta wonder what motivates the writer(s).
The writer didn't trick me into accepting the tale either. 😎@@vickiechandler3112
agreed
I mean, I keep a copy of my deed on my phone. Bunch of other documents too. Read enough stories and you never know when you need to prove something.
I come from a family of farmers and have owned our property since 1825 and it was originally a military land grant for service in the War of 1812 , now we only farm pine trees but never in memory has someone in the family carried the Deed on us. Hell I have only seen it twice. The original military land grant is framed but the actual Deed is locked up.
First story makes no sense. Why would someone carry their deed with them for just in case when it's property that's been in their family for decades?
Younger gen given a badge will always misuse the authority given by it .... just like with old gen when given a firearm well ... look what happens .. this causes mistrust
That's because it's fake AF! LOL!
The answer is these stories are completely fake.
@@scottarmour2783 and they all hugged and everyone clapped at the end...lol
I live in Indiana. Here, wheat harvest is in July and corn in October and November. Not both in 2 weeks. And the deed is not with you.
Did something similar when I started working fast food. Got called in to help cover a shift and got screamed at by a non manager despite being asked to clock in at a specific time. After she did that and told me the words "Either get off your ass or leave!" So I left. Wasn't on the schedule that day, and basically came in as a favor, so I wasn't going to be treated that way. GM called me asking where I went, and I told her what happend. I also told her "I would consider coming back if co-worker apologized." Heard her in the background go "Fuck that". From what I remember she was written up for it too.
First story- This reminds me of the people that live near the airport in my town. They buy the houses for 1/4th the price, then complain endlessly about all the noise.
Yup!
For those who complain about living by a farm, tell them they don't have to eat! 😂
I carry my deed everywhere i go uh huh
I would not have given Dan a thing
yes, because everyone carries their property deed around in their pocket...if it's anything like ours just for a normal house, you'd need a big pocket for the stack of paperwork. ..lol And cops know who called , they ask when the call comes in.
Well, to give the benefit of the doubt. He could have had an appointment completely irrelevant to the story. Which is probably why it wasn't why It was to put in the story.
That he needed the deed in his car. I mean, he had just started doing his crop. So he couldn't have been too far into the field.
Its entirely possible I just missed the part where he whipped it out of his pocket But I could have swore. I just heard he whipped it out and not necessarily from his pocket. It could have just been nearby like in his car.
Idk just my thoughts 💭
@@disgruntledfastfoodemploye5337 yes it wasnt quite clear as to where he had it , that is true but it is implied in the story that he was out farming the field.....farmers do not normally drive their car to the equipment to harvest , they drive the farm equipment straight from the barn. That stuff is too expensive to leave sitting out
In my family if someone threatened my family land you will most likely go missing.
S1 OP should wear a hair shirt, wings and a halo. He is a saint
Anyone in his place would have shown the new neighbor some MC. Like raising pigs near the boundary so Dan got to experience "farm life" everytime the wind blew from OP's farm to his own site
8:30 Hooman version of Macgyver's Swiss knife
17:30 OP is a genius. What if the GF is closer to the PoS BFF than to OP and reveals OP's shenanigans to BFF. Why reveal a secret that can backfire on OP?
Bury Dan somewhere he won’t be found.
Gotta love a farm story written by a city slicker. Or more likely an AI.
HOLD ON LET ME GRAB MY DEED.
As to the last story that pshycolagist needs to see one. She is clearly delusional.
first story, Dan calls Cops while i harvest... I really had hoped that OP had done the goto farmer retaliation/revenge after the attempr to reclassify the land. i assume that there were three other neighbors to OP's bain. all four should have built pig sties bordering Dan's property ... creating a 24/7 stink to heaven ....
and only after he complains the four could low-ball offer to buy... if Dan sues for low-balling even accusing them of conspiracy ... it will actually prove he wants to sell allowing to argue "not conspiracy Dan's blackmailing us to pay way too much... " ... then ask judge to force an open auction "must sell to highest bidder..."
I bet that Dan overbid when originally buying the farm land.
Good that you and other farmers put the representative and his stupid ideas down and hold off dan
Last: Why is OP hesitating to put a shiv into Mindy? For some unstated reason, Mindy is having a gala time ducking with OP. Why take it and keep quiet. A kerchief over OP's mouth and a phone call to the senior manager's wife about the affair and Mindy is toast!
When they go low, you go lower
yeah I always carry the deed to my land in the combine ...
Harvesting wheat and corn. Combine header width vary from 12 feet for a OLD one to 24 feet for a new one. A 60 year old with a 12 foot header would be more cost efficient than a newer one. Time to cut 150 acres of wheat is roughly 30 hours cutting time and add for emptying to the truck. Therefore three days.
Corn takes a little longer, say five days. Corn for silage seven days, however you must have drivers to help you. And even with wheat you should have a couple trucks and at least one driver.
59 years ago was when I started driving in harvest for my father.
How many of the millions of property owners around the world just happen to have the deeds of the property in their pocket ????
Good morning from London Ontario Canada
Yes the first story sounds fishy, when the guy is carrying his papers with him.But considering the problems with his neighbor he already had ,not out of the question to be ready for anything.
Seriously… just over two minutes in and you want us to believe dude carried his deed with him on a combine harvester?!
NEXT STORY…
That first story is so badly written and stupid! It must be AI!
I call, Bull Shit, on the 1st story....Nobody carries their Property Deed while working....Duh....
Very unusual to to have wheat and corn ready to harvest at the same time. unless they are using the original King James meaning any grain other than American corn
Never said which one was currently being harvested, or it's winter wheat which is harvested roughly from May to August, according to the official wheat website.
@@marjoriejohnston4905 You better listen again he said he was harvesting wheat when the police showed up. and then finished his wheat and corn harvest, and then went the to farmer market. of course the no mention of the time between the two but the way story was written implied he did the corn harvest right after the wheat.
@@greatgreyowl2583 well, my second point. Corn harvest starts in August, the tail end of winter wheat harvest
@@marjoriejohnston4905 A around there often a 2-3 month gap between the end of one and the start of the other.
Custom harvesters often start in the south and work their way north to Canada doing the wheat harvest and then go back south and work their way back north doing the corn harvest.
@@greatgreyowl2583 never gave exact location, just that he's not in Florida
Hello everyone
A fantasy.
I suspect that this is just another BS scripted story (aka click bait), the type that shows up on UA-cam almost daily. I'd take it all back if at least one of the millions of farmers in the USA will certify that they carry his or her property deed in their pocket when heading out to harvest.
Last story... Yeah, Mindy, you can bloody well see he's got a big order, and the other staff are being lazy a-holes, but you want to make it look like the whole thing was his fault. Sorry, likely Mindy and both of the other servers got quite a tongue-lashing, and maybe even fired.
Gonna be honest the first story is made up, and I'm the type to give a lot of leeway.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌✌
Here is some constructive criticism. When ending a storyline, do a more definitive stop with your voice, pause, and start again. Example is at the first story, the tone of voice seemed like there more.
Fake story. My sister has 5000 acres. I can assure you it doesn’t take dawn til dusk to harvest 150 acres! And certainly not weeks. What was he using, scissors ?
I think 150 acres is usually a sunrise to lunch harvest, from what I've seen around here. I'm in northern Illinois, so it's corn, wheat, soybeans, alfalfa, and sunflowers.
you jsut cary the deed around whenyour doing field work...don't buy it
📖👓📚📙🧙🏻♂
Weird fake story is confusing, stupid not entertaining. Not plausable.
I'm sorry but the AI narration is an ear sore to listen to :x
What shit state did that happen in? Even here in NY farming is king.
