Man I’m From Cumberland .. met this man a couple years ago for a brief minute and he was respectable and dropped wisdom on me and barely knew me ... respect !! It’s crazy I’ve been watching you’re show for 6 months and seeing someone I’ve met from my home town on there really shows how small the world is!

Hey man I tell you what, all your stories and advice are a really big help on seeing how it is inside prison. I'm going in for an interview tomorrow for Hamilton FDOC and I don't think Ida been as calm as I am now if I hadn't found your channel. All the stories are a huge help and kinda shows what to expect if not what could possibly happen. Thank you for sharing all your amazing stories, and stay safe out there.

@@Durchii I'm with ya brother I'm just keeping it 💯 my brother was in confinement when he was. They weren't cellies or nothing. My brother was behind the door for 28 months under the STG bullshit.
Imagine if the state would have actually provided rehabilitation for him at 8, 9 or 12 years old..... One thing this channel has helped teach me is that we as a country must do more to help our at risk youth instead of declaring them irredeemable after their first offense.
@whispers from my arse say Why would you assume that I don't help at risk youth locally? I do. I am an avid supporter of an organization in my hometown that reaches out to kids some think are irredeemable. I would, agree somewhat, and think we need to see serious criminal justice reform across the country. I also think social programs that address addiction and that invest in our youth are worthy causes.
@@girlfromsouth214 I think he may have misunderstood your comment.. I know you were being thoughtful and seem to really care. We just need to stop these kids from having kids! Its a never ending cycle . i also work with at risk teens... I visit them at the Juvenile Hall and talk to them and man almost all of them are being raised by parents not much older than them.. Really sad and honestly theres no way to entirely prevent people from making bad decisions.. All we can do is be there for them when they fall and try to give them hope.
You may end up being the ONLY person they know to respect them and treat them like a human.
And for that alone its worth it to keep trying ❤ blessings sent

I wish more people could see that states would spend a fraction of the money if they actually provided viable mental health services and rehabilitation to non violent offenders from the start, instead of jailing them, especially youth offenders. This guy was only 8 years old when he entered the system, and jailed by 12, and convicted of armed robbery at 15. :( I have a 7 year old. Kids as young as 8 cannot be blamed for committing crimes. They do not possess the maturity or brain function to be responsible for their actions. If this guy got help at 8, it could have totally changed his life. All the money the state spent jailing him for so many years could have been spent on more worthwhile things.... or, if we didn't spend gazzilions on the primary school to prison pipeline, we could cut taxes.

I'm from Maryland and my husband did some time in Victor Cullen (the juvenile detention center he talked about) when he was a teenager
My high school used to play Victor Cullen in football in the 90's lol
I was the first person released from Victor Cullen in 93. Colts club!In Frederick County sabillasville. Secretariat here I remember Gallant Fox,Citation, Count Fleet,and I think Man O War.Back when just the huts were behind the fence first on the left going in Secretariat.Everyone thought the kkk was all around there so no one ran.Then it got crazy up there too.Niam King was in there with me not sure if he was the same one that was in BGF or not lost touch with him after we got out.

I grew up in Baltimore. Spent most of my youth (1988-1991) in Hickey School (Charles h Hickey school ) and Boys Village (Cheltenham).. Needless to say being state raised in Maryland, I went on to serve armed robbery time in Alaska and 11 years in WA state on the installment plan.. Our politics are different ( I was a skinhead for 20+ years ), but I get it... I’ve been out since 2006 now, and I’m a single father enjoying life.. But damn it’s been a ride.

Maryland...I'll never forget MD. My first arrest ever was Anne Arundel Detention Center...I was so stupid I remember thinking, "Um...Dentention Center. That doesn't sound so bad"...you know, I thought a Detention Center couldn't be as bad as being in jail. Damn.

He was picked up cus he was high on something they don't know what but yeah he was released on his own recog but they never released him because he was acting crazy and wild I guess and on the 3rd day he suffered cardiac arrest and died in the jail. I don't think my aunt ever got any real answers as to why they kept him and didn't take him to a mental hospital or what caused the cardiac arrest but he was young like 27ish .
Thats a daycare compared to Baltimore city jail lol
Jordan Bryant been in both many times and seen wild shit in both but AA county is a much better place all way around! Special if you on steal side in the jail and ain’t in a dorm (JI or Annex) Feel for them dudes over there years fighting charges

Yep Eci is 8 housing units, 1-3 West 4 is ad seg for the west. 5 is ad seg for the east, then 6-8 is the east. The only unit I lived in was 1 and it was all the bloods on the west side in that one building. 2 was dmi, bgf, crip, and 3 was like a bunch of older heads and a drug program tier down there. They do the gang segregation punishment thing he was talking about. When the gang got locked down that was 70 Percent of the tier on lock and all the civilians basically had the dayroom and yard for the month until they come off.

I was up Hickey school Cub Hill road back when YSI took over, and we had to get up and jog and do calastintics 5AM, inside the fence unit 4, me and Jimmy Sweeney, then we both got shipped up to forestry camps 1 and 3
