5:48 Luke describes midday form and says it's dusk form, the difference between midday and dusk is that dusk has puffed up back fur and a fur spike between it's ears
Casually oneshots a massive oceanic whale God that flies through the rain and has the ability to flood the world if not stopped with a few blades of tangled grass and a little bit of spiky rocks on the ground
Yeah, the color descriptions were disappointing, lol. I know I've spent my entire life doing art stuff, but thr yellow-green being called "light green" and some of the other descriptions makes my sad for whoever has to guess that, lol. I know everyone sees colors differently and perhaps he doesn't see greens accurately. This type of game is difficult due to those issues, though. I think having them take samples of the colors and looking up a more accurate descriptor color would've been more fair, to be honest.
Thankfully theres really no difference. I'm pretty sure the only difference is that midday form takes 2 points from speed and moves it into attack when its in the dusk form
@@itzgladgatorgonegladitzmad9701 yeah I just wish they made significant stat changes. Like they coulda made it slightly bulkier like midnight but still relatively fast like dawn
Can someone sign Luke up for some Basic Art Lessons please?? At least Teach him the difference between Blue & Green, and Introduce him to the color “Mint”. 😂
Revelation Dance is one of my favorite moves of all time so when I used oricorio in my playthrough and it was tera flying I got so dang confused and then I realized when testing stuff on showdown that Revelation Dance changes to whatever your first type is.
That is definitely interesting though. Basically means in the wake of Tera, Oricorio essentially has a Tera Blast of it's own. Even if it isn't able to attack based on Atk. Still too bad Oricorio doesn't have amazing stats, but that is a cool niche.
5:53 This is a Midday Form Lycanroc. Since it's on all fours, it's definitely not Midnight Form, but Dusk Form has five spikes coming out of its mane, while Midday Form only has four. Another way to tell shiny forms are based on its eyes. Light green eyes means Midday Form, red eyes means Midnight Form, and dark teal eyes means Dusk Form.
I think a cool randomized game would be randomized color pallets if possible and then build the teams based off those colors. Maybe the mons have new types matching their colors?
This battle got so disrespectful ong 🤣 As an art student, I cry every time I watch these videos lol Like, Kyogre is like a magenta, pink, not purple lmao I love seeing the shinies in this game tho. They all look so good, even the really bad green ones
I think you may be a bit colourblind Luke... Some really pink Pokemon you called purple, and I can't figure out how weezing's sicky blue-green turned into neon green? Espeon is neon...
This was the first time I saw hisuian Avaluggs shiny and the orange/white contrast throw me of a bit. If it wasn't for his weaknesses, the shiny would almost made me want to use it.
I think a way to take this a step further would be to have it 50/50 with shinies and regular pokemon so when you're trying to pick based on color you don't know which is which
so many of these colour descriptions have me wondering if Luke is legitimately colour blind to an extent ... but man every time they both referred to fuchsia as purple (e.g. Kyogre) was so painful to my artist heart
I have an idea for a video. "Precognition": you pick 1 through 3 six times. Then load up your randomized starter selections and that's what you get in order. Rules: 1. 2 skips aloud but you must take that same slot on the next three. 2. No evoles, you get what you get. 3. Items allowed. 4. Randomized abilities.
He's not wrong about the Lycanroc shinies being great. They're so great they're the very first evolution line of Pokemon that I shiny hunted every member of.
I've been wondering how teal vs cyan look to people who don't have tritanomaly. Ironically teal and cyan are *very* distinct to me, and teal most definitely looks very green, and cyan looks very blue, despite both being shades of blue-green. But you called the teal blue. Does cyan look more blue or green to you? EDIT: And then later Shady calls turquoise "teal" o.O EDIT 2: Ok, you got to cyan later and that was definitely blue (though that doesn't look like cyan to me, but that's what you called it anyway). EDIT 3: Wait, another shade of teal is your favorite green? But teal was blue before? I'm so confused.
To me the biggest difference is hue and saturation. Cyan is a bright almost neon blue in my mind, with a slight mint hue to it, whereas teal is a darker green toned blue (granted my main experience for these come from game colour wheels like Flight Rising, as opposed to traditional paint swatches lol)
I have no color blindness, I actually have tetrachromacy. Cyan is the bluest blue you can get. Like the purest pigment of blue. Extreeeemely saturated bright bright blue, it's how you make all the other colors of blue. Teal is more desaturated and slightly darker than cyan, and is a manmade color. Like you cannot make teal with any other color in art, it just IS teal. You can use it to balance something between green and blue because that's the best way it's seen to our eyes. But teal is also a very pure, on its own, kind of color. The perfect blend of a blue and green. To get turquoise you actually add cyan to teal, making it far more blue leaning. Lots to think about, colors are cool, and the way people see different colors is very interesting. It's not unlikely one or both of these guys have some minor color blindness that makes the blue distinctions weird and probably even weirder for you since your distinctions are so narrow. Which is why ur distinctions look so distinct to you but not others without tritanomaly.
Dang I’ve been shiny hunting numel/Camerupt/Minior and this made me realize I’ve probably missed a lot of numels. Online the shiny looks very different from the normal but in game it looks the same.
also, the lighting in the game can make it harder to tell as well, when two pokemon standing near each other can look really different - the shinies with subtle differences can drive you crazy
Shady come on man. Shiny Numel is so incredibly mid, I will give you that. But Shiny Camerupt is fucking DOPE. Bruh I would be so shit at this. I would straight up just say that Kyogre is pink. There is no part of me that would consider that purple.
Finally! not only is H. Zoruark in a battle in your videos but he takes out the biggest threat on the team? I love that weird lil fox guy. Doesn't get enough love.

I think a fun way to do any of these is instead of letting them all fully evolve, reverse it. Any that can evolve, must go to their LOWEST evolved form. Sorta Little Cup, but not exactly. i like how the team building part quickly turned from competitive into just appreciating how good the shinies look in this game
I really want to see them play the board game “Hues and Cues” maybe get better at knowing what colors are
