Too bad we didn't have better video cameras back then. That was probably the greatest match that has ever been played or ever will be played.
Fantastic breakdown and commentary by you, thank you.
As an experienced player, I’d like to say that this video is one of the best instructional videos I’ve seen, as it relates to the why’s of each shot. Thanks.
I was so fascinated by Efren and this match, when I got interested in pool a few years ago, that I have watched it all the way through, 4 times. Your analysis has added much to its appeal; your detailed insights have shown me new ways to think of some shots. Thanks Tor!
I’ve started doing the same 👍
Your channel is underrated but its so amazing , I learnt a lot from it thus far.
Excellent video series for amateurs! Thank you!
Awesome video. Great dissection of Efrens strokes and positioning. Very informative for people like me who know little about pool!
Fantastic breakdown, Tor! You're a great teacher!
This video addresses the one thing I have always wanted to see --- BRAVO.
AWESOME Tor!! I'll be watching this video again! Efren is my favorite player by far and watching you disect these racks gives me more insight to his thought process. I've learned a lot from him and you! Thank you!
These are great great. Thanks
I've been waiting on this for a very long time. Thanks!
You are doing a great service Tor. I wish you best of luck and success
Thanks for breaking this down for me Sir Tor
you know Tor's analyzing Efren game is a precious gift! Thank you, Tor, for doing this, you really raised my game with your video's!!!!!
All time fave pool player. Greetings from the philippines tor
Hi Jimmy. Efren is my favorite also. Great player and great sportsman.
I can't thank you enough for all of your teaching videos! They've helped me so much in getting that understanding! You are appreciated!
I'm not too sure Strickland would appreciate your editing choices. :-/
Great vid, as always, TONS of great patterning/positioning info here.
best video i have seen in months
I always have such great visions for my runouts and I break out the clusters take care of the difficult balls get on my key ball which is an easy shot with natural shape and just miss. It’s aggravating!
Thanks Tor for this great video!!
Great video Tor; I'd like to see more like this one.
Thanks a bunch. this was a great analysis, subbed! 😊
Great analysis.
Idk how I got this in my recommendations but here's a comment for the algo.
Very informative video. I didn't even know pool was played this deeply and this sick tbh insta sub
Just search for Efren on youtube and I bet eventually youll be itching to get to a pool hall
His thinking ability is just so good! You can tell tor loves the game of challenge! But so do I !!
Efren Reyes the GoAt of billiards👊☝😎💪🔥
This is Gold mate!
Is the e-book still available? The link does not work.
I'm enjoying the game and your analysis in Dallas. I was never a real player but had great fun banging the balls around. No one ever taught me cue ball control (though I did realize that was the key to serious play).
Awesome content as usual. 💯💥👍
Really appreciate the effort, excellent commentary and video :)
Next up, 8ball? 😎
Great analysis. I appreciate all your work with this.
The only GOAT without haters
You the man
One word to summarize: Efficiency
How come we dont see you on the one tour ??
Yoooooo
This video is so fucking helpful! Amazing content. 🤙🏽
On shot 11-38. Would going three rails be an option?
Not really a good option… that 3rd rail is far from the 8 ball… Actually this 3 rail shot is more a 4 rails shot that leave you quite far from the 8 ball! ;)
hi
I checked out that website but that wasn't free
I should pay money
what am I supposed to do ? 😭😭
can you do this analyzing with Efren playing 8 ball ???? there are a lot of us playing 8 ball.
12:08 I really don't think that is "maximum high" there. Maybe half a tip.
Make a video like this but with Earl Strickland
Tor lowry where do you train your students at? What state? Also how much do you charge for lessons? How do we contact you?
Hi Nick, I currently train in St. George, Utah, which is about 90 minutes from Vegas. Here is the training website: www.zerox-academy.com. We're currently booked until April 2022. We do offer discounts to Patreon members. You can contact us through zeroxbilliards@gmail.com.
I'm not much of a player but are you sure about that 7 ball shot at the 12 minute mark? I'm a little unclear on what you mean by "natural path". It isn't the 7 ball tangent line which ends in the bottom corner pocket. Doh! The 7 ball isn't where I thought it was. I thought that it was on the second diamond on the long rail, but actually it was about 1 3/4 diamonds from the end rail, not 2. Moving it that quarter diamond towards the end rail makes quite a difference. I can almost imagine performing this shot after a few hundred more attempts.
i "liked" this video a while ago but you missed explaining the two-way shots that give's him a safety net increasing his confidence . Tor you need to include the psychological affect it has to each shot to be more prepared knowing his potential run and use every chance at the table to turn it around. No one can say they always beat Efren in a strategy match but I think they can learn the knowledge over a "make every ball" game cause if not I'll lose state of mind. Prove me wrong or right! What sux is that I don't play too many players that understand this. Most just give me chances to let them beat themselves and just really get mad when they put all their heart to win! I only play 2 shots ahead most games with 2-3 breakout attempts. Yup alwayys! I know it sounds cocky and way too crushing like everyone I play which I do give everyone a obvious coach. I won't let them beat themselves! I'm still hated but I don't care anymore. I play in tourneys to put my game under my own microscope which I lose a lot!!
Watching effron is like watching an artist. He is so smooth.
Very educational! But your cue ball looks like a tennis ball. : )
Tor, I found something from the World pool masters I thought you might get a kick out of. It is a result from one of Jayson's breaks that looks like a virtually perfect stick man. It's here:
ua-cam.com/video/0MLjUVd2cLY/v-deo.html
It is so nearly perfect that it caught my eye. I commented that I could just hear some instructor or UA-camr saying:
"And if you get the stick man break result you could ..."
Cheers and happy holidays :) Thx again for the videos.
you're right, very cool!
Well i got lucky. But the batter you are the more you got lucky.
Hilarious, Strickland missed every single shot.
Actually if you watch the entire match, you will come away with a new appreciation for Earl; he is a tremendous shot maker. He just got upset at times and it bit him in the a**...
@@jerrycasey1053 a friend of mine was the referee for this match. Strickland had total control of the match - he had a big lead and then missed a few critical shots and Efren caught fire. Strickland, in his prime, is probably the best nine ball player of all time, but Efren certainly has as argument. Both great players.
Kinda think this was a joke about the editing, guys. Tor was just showing the lead in misses allowing Efren the opening shot for his runs.
@@MrJdseniorYes, just fooling around. Earl is a legend. And another great video by Tor.
Definitely mutual respect between these two greats. I think earl is one of the best pure shot makers ever. efren’s pool mind, creativity, and cue ball control is unmatched. Both are pillars of the sport and have inspired pool fans and competitive players.
Sorry guys NOTHING is free. FREE means no monetary exchange. Just saying. Tor still has great videos for sale worth the price!
