    Very close to where I’m living. Imajuku does lack some convenience as there’s not a lot of stores and such close by but they recently opened a very affordable gym close to the station which should be within walking distance of that unit.

    I lived in a similar apartment in Kyoto but it didn’t have the top room with ladder. It was pretty comfortable and economical. I loved it. Would definitely live in one of these again.

    Thank you for showing us those nice and affordable apartments. I'm thinking about doing some volunteering in Japan, and Fukuoka is my point of interest because rent there is cheaper than other places.

      Would be my top choice of major Japanese cities in which to live. I prefer it over the big three.

    Every time I go to Japan I bring loads of those hot spring bath powders back. I just wish I could get all the parts for one of those wet rooms, too. There's nothing like having access to a tub that deep.

    If you’re not Japanese goodluck actually GETTING any apartment let alone for 25000¥ a month, and you would need to pay a security deposit 1-3 times the monthly rent and you’d need to pay a “gifting” fee which you don’t get back which is also 1-3 times the monthly fee

    Im not a huge fan of that balcony(I prefer more open balconies) but everything else looks great! I can 100% see myself living there.

    I would love to live in that apartment for THAT PRICE. A place that size in America (NY or San Fran) would cost quadruple the amount

      It would cost 6-7 times that amount. And it would be a room.in a house or apt with shared bath.

      but then you earn 100k+ in ny and sf, while you will be earning 20-30k a year in fukuoka, you trade buying power for affordable housing, you can't have it both ways

    Wow, looks just like my former hamster hut, LeoPalace in J-land when I was an AET/ALT in Kyushu. I had bruises all over the place hitting something when I was living in a 220 sqft apartment. Never again.

      This is in Fukuoka, which means it’s on the west coast. Tsunamis in Japan happen on the east coast, on the Pacific Ocean side.

    I would rent that place just for the tub. With the low cost of rent, everything else I'd need could easily be purchased new like a fridge and washer. Nothing smells better than clothes dried outside.
