One of the best explainer videos I've seen. Will is entertaining, there's actual video editing that's been done, and the subtle humor made it easy to pay attention. Keep up the good work, Will!
Watching this video to research a question on a AWS SAA question...fantastic explanation. Identity Provider: explained. The example overlays the test question perfectly. THANK YOU
Thanks for the explainer. At 5:00, the animation shows user entered credentials with Zagadat, and then again with Auth0. This seems incorrect. I think the animation should have shown just the login button and no username, password boxes?
at 11:50, why did he sign in with Google to demonstrate SSO with SAML and Auth0? does google use the Oauth2.0 protocol for SSO? I didn't understand that too well.
In the demo case, Auth0 is acting as a proxy identity provider, and it re-directs the authentication request from Zendesk to google identity provider (either using SAML/OpenID Connect which is based on OAuth 2.0) and the user once logged in to google is re-directed back to Auth0 with a SAML response/OpenID token which Auth0 uses to establish a session and then in turn generates a SAML response and sends it back to Zendesk to complete the whole Auth flow. Hope this explains the use-case that the author here has demoed!

PLEASE KEEP MAKING VIDEOS. You just got a subscriber.
only 2 minutes in but, I like the added effects and you seem pretty engaging and easy t o learn from :)
Good delivery! Keep it up man!
I learned more in 13 min than taking an Okta course that lasted hours.
Great presentation Bruh!
If I have a client that has a Sophos Firewall want to remotely login from home into their network that uses SAML can this be done?
thanks for not going over my head

Yes it should be like this, I've searched about it and you don't want to be sending the user's credentials via SAML Req.
Do you offer training on this 1:1?

@@SandeshJagannath Hey Thanks, Makes sense since that's how it's done for on prem IdPs like Active Directory.
@@SandeshJagannath So basically , google was IDP for Auth0 and Auth0 was IDP for Zendesk??
@@manishshaw2393 Exactly !
Great video
Looking for an example where Auth0 is acting as the service provider, to someone else’s IDP.
what is auth0? Is it a username?
Auth0 is a tool that helps you simplify authentication in your apps. By authentication, I mean logging into and out of apps.
Auth0 is IDP which is responsible for authentication 😊
Yes configured Auth0 and logged in as Google 😅😅
