For the few comments saying Adam doesn't sound like Freddie, I think you are missing the point. Queen don't need a singer to sound like Freddie. They are not replacing Freddie. They needed a singer who could sing Queen songs excellently to keep the caliber of performances and set the bar high and Adam does exactly that. Nobody will ever match Freddy and nor should they. He was a one off and is remembered as such. Continuing his songs is a memorial to him and for Queen to continue on. Adam is stellar in Queen and as a artist in his own right.

We can never underestimate Brian May and Roger Taylor for having looked upon Adam Lambert as being the frontman that Queen needed to get back on stage with that phenomenal energy. Freddie Mercury relies on the "Gods of Rock Pantheon" pretty sure that Lambert has completely acquired his legacy. Lambert knows Mercury is irrepleaceble. He definitely never tried replicate Freddy's unique style and vocal power. But one thing is for sure: Lambert has not only achieved new fans for Queen, but also brought back - against all odds - the past generations who somehow were also gone as Mercury had left this plan.
It’s amazing that this generation still can genuinely accept Queen , even for as long as they’ve been around. They will always be considered true rock n roll .
I'm not going to discredit any of the vocalists that followed Mercury, but Freddie was the greatest frontman in the world and I think Queen can still sell out solely on his legacy alone.
Adam gives them a chance to keep performing, and even if he isn't Freddie Mercury, he lets Brian and Roger do what they love to do and I think that's amazing.

My son and I wore out our phone batteries to get our Adam votes to connect because so many Adam supporters were voting or trying to vote. In many ways, Adam came out ahead because he didn't win. He wasn't controlled by Idol's plan for the winner to follow. Adam immediately proceeded to have his own sole-out tour; the rest is history. I saw Queen live in Houston in the early 80’s. It was an amazing show then. In some respects I see this video and I don’t think Adam Lambert does it nearly as well as Freddie. There is only one Freddie. But then I think the original Queen members left chose him, and Adam Lambert has serious stones to give it his best, and I tip my hat to him. Kudos, Adam Lambert. You did it well. You honored Freddie with a moment of his music. I listen to this music and sometimes it chokes me up a little. This is an era that is gone. I grew up in the golden age of rock and roll, and I was lucky for that. I hope the younger generation enjoys it all their lives.
