I absolutely adored The Hike omg im so jealous of you having the original book cover edition I love the cover so much. I feel like ive never really read anything as wacky and fun as The Hike but Sourdough, Nothing To See Here, and The Changeling by Victor Lavalle kind of give me similar vibes?? idk! and haha omg Kayla said we should be friends hahahah!
You look STUNNING with your head shaved!! Glad to see you are back!! My weird book recommendation:House of Leaves. Cerulean Sea was SO GOOD!! Beautifully written and such wonderful life lessons...a book that needs to be savored!!
Watch Over Me sounds great, I've had the ARC for a bit but have yet to pick it up. I'm hoping to read Grown this year, glad you liked it!! Addie Larue sounds amazing and I got it for X-mas so I am v excited to read it!! great video Natasha, glad your back!!
I absolutely adore this video! I've already been subscribed to you, but I somehow haven't watched many videos. You are so real and a wonderful talker about books. Can't wait to read the top three books on you tbr!! :D
I just found your channel and I AM SO HAPPY THAT I DID. I attended Julie Lalonde's workshop and am being sent a signed copy of her book in the mail. I can't wait! I think what she discusses is so important to bring awareness to, and I relate to her in many ways. Thanks for sharing!
Seeing you talk about books and how much you love books brings me so much joy. I am so glad you are doing better and I am so excited to see what 2021 has in store for you ❤️
The Seep sounds super interesting. I also LOVED Watch Over Me, and I really want to read The House in the Cerulean Sea Sea and Black Flamingo. Some weird short fiction for you are Earthlings by Sayaka Murata, fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin, and Memoirs of a Polar Bear
I cannot express to you how happy it makes me to have new videos from you❤ I miss seeing your face and your sense of humor. I look forward to diving deep into your recommendations. The Seep sounds right up my alley
I feel you with the lana poetry collection - like did it have to slap that hard? do you have a favorite poem from it?! sport cruiser is definitely mine ✨
Loved seeing some new videos from you, missed you on book tube!! I was rewetting your TBR Star Jar videos because I was having withdrawals hahaha I won The Hike in a Goodreads giveaway and I haven't read it, I'll have to bump it up on my to read list!
My favorite book of the year was This is How You Lose the Time War💙 I need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea since I loved The Lightning Struck Heart by TJ Klune and his Green Creek series🌙 Happy to see you back and wishing you all the best in the New Year🌻
Love seeing you again! I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea - and I made my sister read it right away. TJ Klune is a fave of mine, and he has two others I recommend when anyone needs a lighter read to escape reality - The Lightning Struck Heart (fantasy) which plays with so many tropes and How to Be a Normal Person. Also, on the not light side, if you want some harder hitting novellas, The Void Witch trilogy by Corey J White is really gripping. The first novella is Killing Gravity. I ended up binging them. I went on a little Tor.com novella binge and also really liked Margaret Killjoy's The Lamb Will Slaughter the Lion and The Barrow Will Send What It May (both horror).
love the eyeshadow! super bright and fun!! The Hike has such a funky cover that sounds like it goes with it's funky story! I also love film photography! I love Lana, so it wouldn't surprise me if I adored the book. Great books!!
My favourite book of the year is A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T. Kingfisher. I really liked The House in the Cerulean Sea too, especially the expedition "scene". I wanted to draw Linus and the kids after reading that scene, so vivid!
And I feel you re: how people perceive our country, and how it permeated into what we know of ourselves, because we are just as bad as America but seen as those lovely alternatives.

1. Killer eye makeup gorgeouss! 2. Thank you for always coming through with interesting and different books recs. Love your taste and appreciate every vid without the same booktube views being regurgitated to me 😂♥️🙏🏼
Your #1 fave is on my list for 2021 when I can get a copy. Unfortunately I wont be going in totally blind, because of a review that reveal has been spoiled for me. Maybe if I let enough time pass I'll forget!
I know I'm commenting on an old video, but your review of Grown made me think you might like a podcast that just finished called "Lolita Podcast" created by Jamie Loftus (I would also just recommend all of their podcasts). Obviously heavy intense trigger warnings but wooooooweee it is an amazing examination of the cultural impact of Lolita and men preying on young girls. It's a tough listen but I think it's 10000% worth it if you can get through it, and even if you haven't read the book. So glad to see you back in my feed!
I recommend The Starless Sea for people that enjoyed Addie Larue. I feel like the writing style is very similar. I loved it this year and it made my top books as well!
Sweetie YAS with Lana. So beautiful. Have you read Halsey’s collection? I feel like you would enjoy that cover lol. Not as good as the queen but still good!
House on the Cerulean sea was a favorite of mine too. I'm actually gonna be rereading it in January. It was just what I needed back in March when I read it. Everything was falling apart around me. No wedding, stuck working from home and mental health acting up. This book was safety. I finished it and wanted to read more. He has another adult book coming out in September, I believe. It's a pre-order. He also has a YA series that book two comes out this year.
I can relate so much to this book feeling like safety. It really is. It's a good one. I hope that you're doing much better! I will have to check out other books from the author.
I loved The house in the Cerulean Sea too. it was such a lovely and heartwarming book. Addie LaRue is on my January TBR, I hope I`ll manage to get to it.

The House in the Cerulean Sea was pure magic. It was one of my favorites from 2020 as well. I really want to go back and read TJ Klune’s backlist titles now. I cried.
Felix Ever After and You Should See Me in a Crown were my favorite YAs of 2020. The Black Kids was also good but I haven’t heard a lot of talk on book tube about it oddly. Oh and They Both Die at the End will make you cry in the best way...

I read lana’s poetry book like 3 times this year🤦🏼♂️😂 its been a rough year to be a lana fan bc she really just keeps fuckin us over (also Addie was one of my favs this year too!)
I am interested in reading Lana Del Rey's book. She is a good song writer so it seems like a good fit. A lot of her lyrics are about her addictions. Any reference to a Jim for example is about Jim Beam. I don't think she's basic, but maybe that makes me basic.
@@myreadingisodd I really loved The Deep, and yes holy shit it's so gross. Nick Cutter loves giving really detailed scenes involving bugs of every damn sort. -shudder-
