I watched 30 seconds of this video, then decided I would rent Batman Begins and watch it before this video. Watched the whole movie and came back to find out it was Twilight. That's the worst I've ever been got. Can't even say I'm mad tho
Cool fact: Apparently in the original Twilight script, the adaptation to have vampires sparkle in the sunlight was taken from the idea that vampires can glow under the moonlight, specifically during the Harvest Moon period, and they were going to have certain vampires glow in different colors, Edward was originally set to glow blue, and the title was going to be Blue Harvest, which not many people know but it was the original working title for Star Wars.
I saw that the guys were doing batman begins for caravan of garbage, thought it would be a good excuse to watch that movie again before watching this video. I cannot express my emotions 30 seconds into starting this.

I thought James and Maso's analysis of Bruce Wayne's relationship with Ra's al Ghul and how it both mirrors and contrasts his relationship to his father was very insightful and well thought out. I especially loved how James slipped his iconic tax season joke into it, very clever.
I played this in the background of making food and waited for the joke to end so I can hear what you two think about Batman Begins. Then the video ended. That gave me a big chuckle lmao.

I’ve never been so conflicted. On one hand I really do want to see your thoughts on the Nolan Batman trilogy. On the other hand I really want to see your reactions to the werewolf man falling in love with a CGI baby.
Gotham looks amazing in Batman Begins. The narrows, the monorail, Wayne Tower, the steam and rain. Even some of the buildings look old. This is why it disappoints me that in the next two films of the trilogy they stripped Gotham of any uniqueness and just made it look like Chicago. That being said, what a great look at an amazing film and I'm looking forward to next week when yall take a look at The Dark Knight.
The new one is filmed in Glasgow and Edinburgh, these places look like Gotham for real so hopfully it will look as good... I liked the neon cesspit Gotham from batman forever
I always disliked that, too. Wanye tower in BB is this really cool victorian looking tower, and then in TDK it's suddenly a modern all glass business skyscrapper.

I love how Christopher Nolan leaned more into the darker, more emotional aspect of the character in this movie (being based in part on frank miller's The Dark Knight Returns), in particular the duality between the bat and the man and how that drives the story
After showing my girlfriend the nolan trilogy I was excited to tell her that Mr Sunday had made a CoG for it. After watching the video I realized she would probably appreciate this episode more

You really brought a sparkle to the classic Batman film Batman Begins. Splendid.
Gotham looks amazing in Batman Begins. The narrows, the monorail, Wayne Tower, the steam and rain. Even some of the buildings look old. This is why it disappoints me that in the next two films of the trilogy they stripped Gotham of any uniqueness and just made it look like Chicago. That being said, what a great look at an amazing film and I'm looking forward to next week when yall take a look at The Dark Knight.
The new one is filmed in Glasgow and Edinburgh, these places look like Gotham for real so hopfully it will look as good... I liked the neon cesspit Gotham from batman forever

I always disliked that, too. Wanye tower in BB is this really cool victorian looking tower, and then in TDK it's suddenly a modern all glass business skyscrapper.

@@qwellen7521 I know it's been said a lot but Nolan really does seem to struggle a lot with the human element of his movies unless he gets help from his brother or the actors. That said, he manages to pull it together most of the time.

I love how Christopher Nolan leaned more into the darker, more emotional aspect of the character in this movie (being based in part on frank miller's The Dark Knight Returns), in particular the duality between the bat and the man and how that drives the story

It's been a long time since I watched these movies. I completely forgot about the weird super speed running effect that makes them look like muppets. Very good analysis, and I hope you truly commit to the bit & finish the series.

I agree. What's great about it too is it's the one Batman we were the villains don't overshadow the hero. It's one of the best Batman movies because it actually focuses on Batman the whole time.

In Gotham City, young Bruce Wayne falls down a dry well and is attacked by a swarm of bats, developing a fear of them. Attending the opera with his parents, Thomas and Martha, Bruce becomes frightened by performers masquerading as bats and asks to leave. Outside, mugger Joe Chill murders Bruce's parents in front of him, and the orphaned Bruce is raised by the family butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
Fourteen years later, Chill is paroled after testifying against mafia boss Carmine Falcone. Bruce intends to murder Chill to avenge his parents, but one of Falcone's assassins does so first. Bruce's childhood friend Rachel Dawes berates him for acting outside the justice system, saying that his father would be ashamed. After confronting Falcone, who tells him that real power comes from being feared, Bruce spends the next seven years traveling the world training in combat and immersing himself in the criminal underworld. In a Bhutan prison, he meets Henri Ducard, who recruits him to the League of Shadows led by Ra's al Ghul. After completing his training in ninja methods and purging his fears, Bruce learns that the League knows about Gotham and, believing the city is beyond saving, intends to destroy it. Bruce rejects the League and its edict that killing is necessary, burning down their temple during his escape. Ra's is killed by falling debris, while Bruce saves the unconscious Ducard.

Donning a scarecrow mask, Crane sprays Falcone with a fear-inducing hallucinogen and has him transferred to Arkham Asylum. While investigating "the Scarecrow", Batman is incapacitated by the hallucinogen, but is saved by Alfred and given an antidote developed by Fox.
When Rachel, now a Gotham Assistant District Attorney, accuses Crane of corruption, he reveals he has introduced his drug into Gotham's water supply. He drugs Rachel, but Batman subdues him by spraying Crane with his own chemical then interrogates him, who claims to work for Ra's al Ghul. Batman evades the police by attracting a large horde of bats using a high-pitched sound, to get Rachel to safety, administering her the antidote and giving her a vial of it for Gordon and another for mass production. At Bruce's birthday party, Ducard reappears and reveals himself to be the true Ra's al Ghul. Having stolen a powerful microwave emitter from Wayne Enterprises, he plans to vaporize Gotham's water supply, rendering Crane's drug airborne and causing mass hysteria that will destroy the city. He sets Wayne Manor aflame and leaves Bruce to die, but Alfred rescues him.
Ra's loads the microwave emitter onto Gotham's monorail system to release the drug at the city's central water source. Batman rescues Rachel from a drugged mob and indirectly reveals his identity to her. Confronting Ra's on the monorail, as Gordon uses the Tumbler's cannons to destroy a section of the track, Batman refuses to kill Ra's but chooses not to save him, gliding from the train as it crashes, killing Ra's.
Bruce gains Rachel's respect and love, but she decides she cannot be with him now, telling him if Gotham should no longer need Batman, they can be together. Batman becomes a public hero and Bruce reveals he has purchased a controlling stake in Wayne Enterprises, firing Earle and replacing him with Fox. Sergeant Gordon is promoted to Lieutenant, shows Batman the Bat-Signal, and tells him about a criminal who leaves behind Joker playing cards. Batman promises to look into it, and disappears into the night.
Always loved this film despite its flaws. The final line exchange between Gordon and Batman will always stick with me.

Came for Batman Begins, stayed for Twilight. Me and my wife just watched through the series and I think this is the best out of the series because its more corny and fun than the rest go on to be.
