Its none of the witch's business what the plaintiff wants to write. The woman should have thrown back in JJ's face what she yells at other people about, the plaintiff should have said, Look, when I want your opinion about what I write as a journalist, you need to go get a journalist degree!!! When someone tells that witch about the law, she always says, do you have a law degree? Well, i do! Same thing goes for her, if she wants to judge what someone is writing about, she needs to go get a degree in journalism!! She's a real piece of work. Well, judge Judy might have been correct in her assumption about it being difficult to publish a book, the way she denigrates this woman is so unnecessary. There's another reason why I would never go on her show because I'm not interested in being disrespected.

Curiousity got the better of me so I googled her - says she was a 'dancer for the New York Knicks NBA team'. I'm guessing that means cheerleader? Also was a news reporter on a local NBC channel. Seems to currently work at Madison Square Garden.
Clever title for the episode, a hint right there for us right in the open.

How is Judge Judy harsh here? You should only publish a memoir if you're famous, have a big social media following or connected to someone famous and have inside information. Hell. Even if you're famous it's not a guarantee that the book will do good.
However, I recognize the defendant from somewhere. I've seen her before.

Who made J.J. an expert in the subject? She is way too opinionated on how, when, and why to hire an author, and if the plaintiff's life or status qualifies for a memoir. J.J. gets a lot of her info from the production support team and acts like she knows it all. In this episode, she is too demeaning and acts like a hole.

I'm actually in the middle of writing something of a memoir myself, but it's a fictionalized narrative. As in, it's my story but some bits are morphed, people are combined, etc. to make the story flow more easily, thus I don't call it a "memoir". So I know exactly what this lady is talking about. Memoirs don't need to be extremely noteworthy to everyone. My story is about how I met my husband on MySpace in 2006 when I was a teenager and how we eventually became a couple when I entered adulthood. So the story has a definitive end. If this lady's target is career driven women and the difficulty she had to face getting to that position, I don't see why it wouldn't be noteworthy to that demographic.
