Excited for the new Strapped segment where Cody interrogates Big Randy and Neil about budget discrepancies and questionable course management decisions.
I don't condone waterboarding, but if it gets us the answers we deserve....

Thanks for telling your story Cody. Hard to think of anything else to say but thank you for your service and sharing all that you did.
Very impressive Cody. Success is a journey not a destination. I feel proud to have been part of this journey and have worked with you.
First off, thank you for your service.
Second, I am so happy a podcast like this is being added to the NLU family. I have played golf nearly my entire life and it has taken me far a wide to play some amazing places but the one thing that stands out more than the golf is the people.
My fiancé always asks me, “why do you watch the same NLU videos over and over?” Normally I shrug my shoulders and reply, “because I like them.” But what I have come to realize it is because of you guys. You are such cool, funny and genuine people and the amount of time you have shared with us over the years has led the viewers, myself included, to feel emotionally invested in your lives. You have become friends…even though we have not met. Personal connection is the secret sauce of NLU.
So in short, thank you Cody for sharing your story with us and I can’t wait to hear from more interesting people in the future. Keep up the great work!!
Going through a bunch of stuff in life right now. I want you guys to genuinely know that your content helps so very much! I thank you all so very much! Continue to help tons of people guys! Love y’all!
Semper Fi -Same same but different. I wasn’t special ops but golf was the hobby life raft for my transition from active duty. Way to go Cody, congrats
Looking forward to the "Downrange" podcasts. Thanks for sharing your story,Cody.
Played golf with Cody on Coronado island this last June, he’s a really good, genuine dude. Incredible story too.
Congrats Cody and NLU. Thank you for your service!
The way you guys keep reinventing yourself quite simply outstanding .
Thanks for your service and I will be tuned in
Cody, Thank you for your service!!!
Thank you for your service, Cody.
Thank you NLU crew for bringing to light such incredible stories and humans, you guys rock
Such a great story, and great story telling. Cheers Cody and NLU
This is amazing and you guys are all amazing. Been so cool watching your growth over the past few years
Just listened to the podcast, from someone currently enlisted it’s great to see NLU bringing in a vet! Especially one that’s such a pipe hitter! Will be listening to them all when they come out!
Wow where has this come from?! Thanks for sharing Cody. Looking forward to the pod and hearing all the stories your guests are going to share. This shows why NLU is where it is at... it's unique and that's what is so impressive with you guys - consistently using your platform for good!
Great job Cody and the NLU team, thanks for this.
hell yes. Can't wait to hear more from Cody and the people he has on... keep on killing it NLU
I'll definitely be tuning in to Cody's podcasts.
Bravo NLU. You guys are doing everything right. Keep it up, fellas.
An amazing story!! Welcome to the NLU fam. Excited to check out the pod.
Fantastic!
Incredibly moving and insightful upload, thank you.
This is fantastic. Thank you for your service from 🇬🇧 🤝
This is so sick! Could listen to Cody for days.
Beautifully produced segment.
That’s gotta be my favorite closing shot on any NLU video
Wow that’s a sick story, keen for this journey
Awesome addition. Cody seems like a really good dude and a great NLU fit.
Man this is family and I’m so glad Yari posted this. Great to see you guys where you are today after coming so far. Man i saw it and told Yari i have to get on it!! Awesome segment my guy! Hope to see you guys soon!
Seen Cody in the background here and there but his coverage on the live pods from the PGA this year was great, looking forward to more content from him and the rest of the NLU boys
Quality stuff yet again guys and welcome to the team Cody. Love the new title as Chief Security Officer lol
Man! seen Cody in the background of some content, but what a back story! so unexpected... looking forward to some more "golf adjacent" content!
Thanks for sharing, These stories need to be told! the attitudes and perspectives against our/any military are extremely complex, and understandably so given the active interests at play. But what is easy to understand is that all service members everywhere are humans who are asked to do an extremely difficult job that requires strength and sacrifice, and the best thing we can offer them is an open mind and heart to engage with. GIven the challenges we all face in life that have been greatly exacerbated during 18 months of the pandemic, given any and all a greater outlet to share and a forum to listen and learn feels like the right thing to do. Sports for so many of us are a way out, a way to relieve pressure, a way to find joy.... look forward to hearing more about that.
Really enjoyed that…not at all what I was expecting.
Thank you for your service.
This is awesome. Excited for the pod and the NLU guys continue to impress me with their mission.
y'all rock
"haha yeah so i found the podcast when i was holding some syrians as prisoners"
Incredible story Cody. So glad you found your way to NLU and thanks for the path you chose in life - selfless and inspiring.
Cody...I have so much respect for you!!! Would love if you guys ever come to KC to play a round with you sir!!
I have watched so many videos from this channel, and enjoyed so many of them. This one, is by far and away the best content NLU has put together. Well done gents. And Cody, I salute you all the way from Australia. Keep up the great work everyone.
Welcome Cody. Thank you for your service
Looks to be an impactful podcast. I still kinda want to know how Cody found his way to NLU after coming home!
Not going to lie - I’ve always thought Cody comes across as too slick and easy on the podcasts, such that it made me feel a little uneasy listening to him. Watching this video has showed me perhaps where his perspective and easiness come from, and I think makes me want to give him another try. Well done NLU.
Wild stuff Cody, amazing stories, very cool to have your onboard at NLU. Look forward to everything to come.
NLU is the best. Looking forward to the new podcast Cody. Also what in the ever living hell is TC wearing there in that handshake clip at the end.
Cody, thank you for your service my brother. Congrats on your successful transition to civilian life. NLU is lucky to have you! Keep trucking and keep this content coming boys! Great stuff!
great stuff, guis... and welcome Cody!
Fellas, man all I can say is Wow! Cody, man thank you for what you do and did. This hits home as I left service for the exact same reason. This is quality stuff that the world should all see.
Addressing another issue in sport and society in a critical time too with Covid. A couple Pros are out there with issues and hopefully this helps. A very good idea and look forward to it.
Very very cool. Looking forward to hearing the podcast and your unique insight
Tears bro
Thanks for this.
Classy, interesting, polished, meaningful. You guys are doing it right.
Great video, amazing people
Good luck Cody, you got 1 subscribe, can’t wait to listen
Absolute nightmare.... more NLU content I've got to devour.
"we're like a scalpel, marines are a sledge hammer"
can confirm. lol.
congrats Cody, glad you found your spot man. cheers brother
As a non-American I'm trying to understand how Cody's story fits in with NLU. He seems like a good guy and I recognize he made choices to support himself and his family. At the same time, I didn't see NLU bringing U.S. military intervention in foreign countries as a part of their brand. Most comments are very supportive so I feel like this will get attacked but as a non-American, it's a bit off-putting.
Appreciate your comments (and thanks for watching). I think to add context, bringing on Cody is much more about exploring the transition back into civilian life that so many veterans throughout the world go through. Yes, his background is important to understand who he is and where he's coming from. But, as he explains in the video, so many people struggle when their service time is over with how to fit back into everyday life. I won't speak for him directly, but in talking with him a good deal, it seems like for Cody, golf and the golf community has been a massive part of getting back to normal and feeling like himself again, just as it helps people going through countless other life changes, crises, etc. He unpacks that a lot more in the podcast episode linked above (and it's hard to tell the whole story in a 10-minute video). Hope that helps provide some context. - D.J.
@@NoLayingUp And hey, if you guys can share the game and it's benefits with even a handful of souls that need it then it's worth it. Using a bit of NLU bandwidth to make an impact is a great thing.
@@NoLayingUp As someone who left the Army 10 years ago after a couple deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan, with my own transition experience I am really excited to hear more from Cody. My good pal Ryan, another vet, and I bonded in our post military lives through golf- talking about it, playing it and in some ways probably saved both of us.
@@NoLayingUp That makes a lot more sense and I will definitely listen to the full podcast to hear about that transition. I am not anti-military and want to see veterans get the support they require and deserve. Your golf content is the best in the business - my wife calls you guys my golf friends - lol. Thanks for the reply and for clarifying. Looking forward to future content. TK
@@NoLayingUp the important story to tell is how golf can help veterans readjust, not stories of how he watched a detainee being interrogated and how friendly it was. We all know that isn't the case and the "symphony" of combat feels really disgusting given how many civilians America has killed in the middle east. This wasn't presented well at all
Wow.
Same, I went from who is this guy to damn happy he's aboard.
Shoutout Montana
So are we adding anymore members? I got a giant who would be great
what course is that?
woah.
Sign me up for 10 more of these
came here for the golf, hate to be that guy, but America and Military don´t have a normal relationship. Don´t take my confusion for disrespect, but this is to much... was just waiting for "God Bless the USA" in the background...
being in intelligence/interigation is reallyyyyyyy iffy territory in my opinion. same as you, not trying to be disrespectful but idk man, not sure I'm loving the "army intelligence is perfect!" tone here. just my two cents and I know based on these comments many will disagree with me
Favourite channel but where is this coming from - yesterday I was watching NewMexico in a VW camper & today I’m in an integration room.....🤯 WTF
Well, then. Golf does not seem so important now.
NLU becoming a US military propaganda wing is probably the last thing I expected.
