This is the first model Grade 992, the Model 1 that has the double screw winding wheel and the very ornate damasking on the nickel plate movement, the most desired of the 992s manufactured. The Hamilton 992 is a size 16 measuring 2 inches in diameter, the most popular of sizes. This classic Hamilton Pocket Watch has the most desired configurations with the pristine Model 1 Grade 992 Movement, Hamilton Double Sunk Montgomery Dial, classic Yellow Gold Fill Railroad Case highlighted with the beautifully Steel Spade/Spade Hands. This 992 was used and well maintained by the railroad and has many “Railroad Watch Inspectors” marks on the inside back cover. This finest of pocket watches is an excellent timekeeper, truly the scientific instrument of it day.

I used to work for USPS and you never declare value at actual value unless you're insuring it and even then they will prolly screw your thanks to the 1800's common carrier act
And it is random decision at the boarder. It was the Canadian border folks who thought I bought it due to a value being placed on it…and this could have been needed for tracking
Never cross Photon streams, urine streams, or pocketwatch bezel threads.
