Excellent photographs! Thoughtful commentary! Thanks for taking us on this journey with you. RIP Pierre!
Glad you enjoyed it! RIP P!!!
Very nice shots and colors. The best I have seen so far from the Texas Leica. Well done!
There is no need for large format, when you have a 6x9 camera, that is so portable.
Stay tuned.
Absolutely true. I love my Texas Leica and i really don’t see much need for another film camera because its a rangefinder.
Mexico City is so vibrant in colors. It's so freaky awesome !!!
Totally agree
I liked the whole video and photos, but "THE END" kicked on another level :-D
Thanks bro
Mexico is a photographer's paradise, I really need to go visit. Great stuff once again.
Thanks Alex! You have to visit

I appreciate it Zach!
So sorry about your dog man! Very beautiful shots!
Thank you
That ending is straight out of a Wes Anderson movie! Sorry again for your loss. Car shots turned out great but if you did want to go back and shoot again we might be there in December haha :) :)
Lmao currently looking at flights for December
i feel you, my dog passed last sunday out of no where. she was happy and playful the night before, and then in the morning she passed
OMG! So sorry for your loss. It really is like losing a family member
Dear Marcus, 8 photos per roll is so little but at the same time is something that pushes us so hard to get something good out of each roll. During the last year I’ve started to think that my digital cameras are my practice tools I need to use to get better with film. This is why my Canon bodies are collecting dust and I went back to an old Fuji xpro1. Images are good enough and the experience is the closest I can get to that of a film camera. Keep up with your nice work!
Ah man I love that idea of using it for practice. I’m the reverse because I feel like film really sharpens my craft more than anything
I am sorry to hear about your dog, great shot and I really like the last day shots/
I really appreciate that Ralph
Your experience with the dog was indeed sad but unfortunate. I am glad that you were able to pull yourself together and continue. Mexico seems to be a country best represented by color images. It can be overwhelming to decide upon what to focus and to what degree. I get it. Some is better than none, Still, one leaves with an aura of emptiness and incompleteness because there is so much to see and capture. It is a fantastic buffet for the eyes that can only be savored and digested on click at a time. Like the after effects of a satisfying meal, take a nap, then rise and begin again.
So beautifully said. Man it’s so true something is better than nothing
That image at 8:53 is so good it make my heart hurt...I need that as a print.
Awesome video as usual, and sorry for the loss
Yo thanks bro! We can definitely make the print happen too

My condolences on the loss of your dog. I had four growing up and it's emotionally draining when they pass on. Fantastic pics !...luv the colors and the old vehicles.
Man it’s tuff but thanks for always supporting
Excellent video! RE: 9:40, That's why I try to carry both digital and film.
I was trying to focus on one and only one
man I really don't understand why this channel is still underrated. I just enjoy every single one:)) R.I.P. Pierre
Thanks for riding with the channel tho
Aw man, truly sorry about your pup. I lost mine two days ago. Hang in there, boss.
Damn man. I hate to hear that. It’s a tuff loss
@@MarcusLloyd It's just part of the deal. Doesn't make it any easier when it comes around, though. Heart's out to you and your girl.

Once again, great stuff man. Also, as a fellow Texas Leica user (6x7 version though) I love seeing what you capture with it. Keep it up!
Texas Leica boys!!!
So sorry to hear about your dog, Marcus. They really are a part of the family. Despite what was no doubt a very difficult time, you've made some beautiful photos,. I found myself pausing on almost all of them, trying to take them in! Love your channel and your energy, keep doing what you're doing : )
Dude Jacob that means a lot. I’m glad you found my channel bro
Yo thanks for the really dope video !
I just recently became interested in the camera and found your channel, keep it up bro!
Yo thanks bro. Enjoy the Texas Leica
Sorry to hear about your pupper. RIP 🐾

Nice I didn't expect to see that kind of architecture there. I always appreciate what you do with your videos and this camera. You and it render the scenes perfectly.
Thank you Chad!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
First of all bro, really really sorry to hear about the passing of your dog. Hope you're doing alright. The photos were stunning as always. I don't think there was single photo that didn't just jump out and inspire me.
Yo thanks Drew! Glad you enjoyed this one
Beautiful work as always. So sorry to hear about the pup. Dogs are family, mines getting up there in age so this hit home. Hope your heart heals.
Thanks for the kind words Bob
Amazing shots man, Im heading to Mexico City in a couple of weeks, this video is getting me excited!
Sorry to hear about your dog. Great photos makes me appreciate my home land a bit more kinda took it for granted.
Yea I know how that can be. I’m the same way with nyc
Condolences about Pierre, Marcus.
He passed in a beautiful place with you and your partner
I really appreciate the kind words
Great video as always dude!! Sorry to hear about your dog. The images you got were great!! I particularly enjoy the one at 8:23. I totally get what said about wanting to be present. I just got back from a trip to Arizona and I shot a bunch of photos and videos for my channel but finding that balance between creating work and staying in the moment is definitely a challenge.
Man it’s a tuff balance but it feels rewarding when you get it right. Honestly I say keep pushing the creativity unless you’re really really drained
@@MarcusLloyd Agreed!
I feel for you on the pup my guy. A similar situation happened last year with my mom's dog.
Wanted to say about the scene with the cars, yeah you missed out on some potential amazing shots and I get it hurts but at least you learned something from it and you're able to take that knowledge with you going forward.
I just discovered your channel and I'm loving it! Keep it up & cheers from Canada.
So true! A lesson I can take with me moving forward and I’m glad you found the channel
Sorry to hear about your dog man. Trip looked amazing nonetheless.
Thanks brother
Beautiful
Thank you brother
@@MarcusLloyd No, Thank you! So many things I want to compliment you on. Please do more videos in Mexico.
My home town thanks
Hope I did it justice
@@MarcusLloyd definitely of course I had to subscribe
Sorry for your (dog) loss. I can surely relate to that...
Yea man. One of those really tough moments in life
@@MarcusLloyd I feel you, I was there twice already (with dogs). Nevertheless, I'm totally a dog person so I got me a third one. 8 years and counting but he still behaves like a puppy 😊
Hope you doing well 😊
Yea I’m doing good. Thanks for asking bro
sorry about ur pup man...great work tho..wonder if you might share your metering process?
Yes I will be sure to chat about metering in the next film episode
Rainy day, so I’m doing some binge YT viewing ;-).
Wow, I also shot with a Fuji GW690III, so we’ve covered very similar ground. I seldom shot color because my lab, though I loved the people, did not really do a great job scanning my negs. So I shot and developed/scanned my own B&W, mostly. When shooting color, I always liked Portra in MF, but preferred Ektar in 35mm. Can’t say exactly why.
A long time ago I did a lot of photo content on YT. You might find this video interesting, where I go through a physical photo portfolio (not sure it was a successful experiment, esp from the old low-res video days). Anyway, I think we share some similar interests re city shooting, so it’s been nice seeing your work.

PS: Very sorry to hear about your dog, esp that it happened in an unfamiliar environment, while you were traveling. It’s always very difficult to lose a pet.
Sorry about your dog. As another commenter mentioned, they are part of the family and it’s hard. As for the photo of the car, don’t fall into the trap of thinking your best shots are the ones you missed. Instead, focus on the next one that you’ll get because of the lesson you learned.
Damn those are some wise words that I will take with me for sure
Rip your dog.
Much love bro
