Autocar was the only truck robust & powerful enough to run a snowplow and a power sander (cinder spreader) in the sizes required for the long plow route uses in the high mountains with steep grades and long circuit routes between turn around. It takes two Freightliners to do the job of one old Autocar.

I believe it was back in 1987 or 89 they had a beautiful Tractor for over the road use, i saw one at a truck show one time and fell in love with that back, it was beautiful looked just like a Pete 379 model.
Waste Management has a lot of the AutoCar ACX cabover rigs in their fleet with the McNeilus AutoReach side load compactor. Even Waste Management's Carson City, Nevada subsidiary Capital Sanitation has them too.

Autocar needs to design a long haul sleeper cab version of that DC64. Owner operators like me would be all over them!
It would be nice if they made a long square hood model to be more like the older style
