Honestly the immersion in bf1 is INSANE. You actually feel like a soldier fighting in a war, I have not played any other games that come CLOSE to the immersion in Bf1. Edit: I am not saying Bf1 is the most immersive game out there, just that it is the most immersive game I have played. There are definitely more immersive games out there

Some reason people seem to move in groups now and squad actual work as squads most of the time. I prefer Battlefield 4 but the squad play in Battlefield 1 is 10x better. Even random team mates will move with me if I’m flanking or whatever. It’s great.

I wish battlefield 1 and V would make consistent campaign missions and stories. That would be so sick because they are half the reason I buy the game lol.
Geerzy well the problem with that is that only a minority of people enjoy battlefield campaigns war stories are so much better.

@Wyatt Zimmermman most of the war heroes are actually true except the (tank story, the Australian story, the Italian heavy, the airplane story) basically most of them :P and also the battlefield 1 and 5 campaign is also bad compared to CoD campaigns. 😔

I feel a bit cheater with grand operations in BFV because they could of had the potential to squash BF1 operations like a bug but ended up shot because of lack of support

Battlefield 1 is the only BF game i own and i pretty much only play operations, purely for its narrative style, which i love. Both attacking and defending also feel very satisfying. While i'm not amazing(about 15-35 kills a game), it's just a beautiful piece of art and that's enough for me. The Tsar DLC operations are my favourite.

Jovan Lopez no not really. Bf1 is much more fun then bfv. Bf1 also made u feel like u were in ww1 while bfv does not. It has improved in the new maps but overall it’s not like bf1. The whole game has problems even in things like the operations game mode

I don't remember any other game that I enjoyed so much. Soundtrack is amazing and headshot sound never gets old.
I agree. I would honestly say that BF1 has one of the best soundtracks in video game history.
With all its DLCs and main game tracks of course, it truly becomes a 3h long journey from Ottoman deserts to Russian winter to the trenches of Western front.
Also the way the soundtrack is placed in the game is breathtaking. Every 2 maps have their own set of Round start, "Sector taken", spawn screen, pre end of round and end of round themes, that all play at perfect moments and truly completes the atmosphere of war.
JRH woah there saying it and the best soundtrack in gaming is a SUUUPPPPEPER HUMONGOUS OVERSTATMENT
Edit: maybe the best is battlefield but halo outclasses the music in every way and halo isn’t even near the top

A $70 video game? People are going to do their research and listen to word-of-mouth. BF1 was praised by most within six months of its release (yes, there were the whiners who complained it wasn’t modern “ we want modern guns. Stop trying to teach us history, DICE”). When a video game continues to sell in those kind of numbers, well after it’s release, I think it speaks to its quality.

This really did make me emotional. Mad how a game can hold such a special place in your heart. BF1 used to be my baby, pity I don’t have my disk right now or i’d be hopping on!
This game also makes me emotional. I was a long-time xbox and cod player (like 3000+ hours of mw2 lol), then my cousins talked me to get a ps4 and bf1 was "the game" back in the day. Got a ps4 and bf1, started playing with him, so many hours into Operations, wow how amazing was that. Cant even believe how amazing the feeling was, playing trough the operations, different locations and stuff. Still love this game

Zeppelin crashes are such a unique feature of this game, they really are so big and mesmerizing that you just have to stop and watch it happen, which can either get you killed or you could kill someone watching. Not to mention just how beautiful and terrifying the explosion is, i remember the first time i caught one on iron walls in the first half of that operation, the zeppelin landed directly on top of the bunker at the end of the level and i remember seeing the twisted metal everywhere, that mixed in with the smoke and flames and bombers dropping more explosives made for such a scary moment.
Dude I’m right there holding a box of tissues for you BF1 was a truly captivating game it’s truly emotional that we will never see a game like this agian truly beautiful
This was the last, most recent BF in my opinion. BFV didnt happen. Bf was always authentic, not the most realistic but, a fun idea of a historical war including all weapons and vehicles of the time even if they were rare or experimental but, still time period appropriate. No wooden cyborg black Nazi women.

BF1 is just such a beautiful game, taking place during ww1, one of my favorite things to study...The campaign was so perfect, the writing was amazing and especially the graphics..the multiplayer is still played today and I hope people keep playing it because i sure will for a few more years from now..thank you..
Battlefield 1 was the first battlefield I ever played and bought, I hadn’t played any other war game before and I’m so glad this was my introduction to this beautiful game.

I love this game so much!
I used to play it alot, but my laptop out of nowhere couldn't play it smoothly and it went to the point that even my mouse in the menu couldn't move without lagging.
So glad its not just me! I'm still playing operations and so far no other game in 2020 makes me feel so immersed.

i've cried listening to the OST of this game, especially with everything i've learned about the war. This is my first BF and my favorite FPS of all time. I've been playing FPS since Doom/Quake days and this is just the best.

No, it didn't change at all, if a faction that won the operations was the one that didn't win the battle in real life, the narrator would simply tell us a what if that faction won

I’ve had the game for 2 years and still haven’t got my Scout to Lvl 10 (imma noob XD I just like LMGs better)
I remember my friends and I freaking out over this game. How it was different and new to us. When it came out we all got it but we kinda separated by that point. Only me and my best friend played it. I got the season pass on sale and followed all the dlcs. It was my favorite game at the time and I knew wit was going to end sooner or later as newer games tend to do. I wish those good old days were back.

I still love Battlefield 1 than any other game I’ve played. It’s my all time favorite and I really enjoy when other people still play it and talk about it. I have made my closest friends while playing it and I have also got pretty great as a support
I will always treasure this game because it generated more interest in me for WW1. The first time I played Operations, the initial charge with the Officer yelling his speech, the war cries, and the music as you charge forward, I will never forget. All of the intense Operations matches where we won within a few points/tickets left to go, the crazy Frontlines matches, the amount of fun I had with the weapons, the amazing sound design, visuals, Weather effects like the fog, storms on Empires Edge or Sandstorms on Sinai Desert, the feeling of getting the new DLC for the first time (TSNP and In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, and Apocalypse, all were amazing). I could go on forever.
This game was perfect in every way. I still havent bought BFV because of its stupid character design and costumes, and the complete disrespect of immersion. BF1 truly felt immersive, save for a few things like seeing the Hellriegel on a map based in 1914. At least there werent hook armed women with cricket bats or black female snipers in Norway. I really wish people stayed on with this game in protest of BFV, but like the mindless consumers they are, they went with BFV because its "new" not because it was better. I fucking hate Gen Z gamers.

The game is truly immersive, when in operations, there's just a bunch of chaos happening around you that it makes you realize that you would've been pissing yourself if you were in that situation

The fact that when the blimp comes down, it completely changes the map is amazing to me. You now have this downed carcass of the blimp to fight in and around, it having completely leveled buildings and hills. Its crazy how they went from that to... V
