      @@BobbyFischer0000 yes, but the original comment doesn't refer to it being often in every game, rather when that position comes (king in the corner giving up last piece to their queen and stalemating), it often works.

    The dirty stalemate is starting to feel like the greatest of all possible outcomes. Higher, even, than the coveted checkmate. So much as to go right for this happen. Two in a row should be seen as the legendary accomplishment that it is.

      cool idea, but you wont get many points from drawing. Infact, Eric will actually lose points drawing against lower rated players.

    I gave away a rook today hoping for stalemate not actually calculating it just sort of hoping limiting my squares would work and it did after the opponent was asking me to resign it was better than most wins.

    The fact his opponent had mate in 1 instead with the bishop makes this so much more dramatic. Also people should look at their clock more often and not rush things so badly.

      That pawn was never hangging, at this time stamp, the knight on h5 would be hangging. And in other moments, there were bishop discovered attacks

      damn, you guys have no sense of danger at all, first of all the kight can trade itself on the bishop and ruins black pawn structure, also there might be some problems with the knight on h5 attacked by the queen depending on how do you responde to Nxg6

      Looks good but according to the engine, it is not a good move. After Nc4 with an attack on the queen, Qb4 is forced to protect the knight on b5 against Qa5+ tactics. Then black plays Qa5, forcing the trade of queens and enjoys his extra piece and the incredible bishop pair

      No..if you had a big attack/mate threat or were going to be winning material yes. In that scenario you would just lose a knight and there is no immediate threat for white to follow up with. At the 1200 lvl that would be losing let alone at the 2600 elo lvl
