The first 1,000 people to use the link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare skl.sh/katiesteckly07231 💻 also - let me know, what's the biggest thing holding you back in your content creator journey right now? I'd love to know so I can hopefully make some videos for you addressing it :)

I started filming back in May. I have two videos up on my channel but they're still set to private. I've been dragging my feet because I feel that I won't have enough content ideas to build a community. Which is what I want. Community is everything. IMO.
I feel I'm just "small town" and who do I think I am to even entertain the idea of being a creator. I also don't want to be chained to one certain "thing"/ niche ( I dislike this term lol). I need a good kick to get off the scardey cat fence.

Editing. I know how to edit, I just don't have the motivation to do it. I've filmed countless videos over the years, I have SO MUCH FOOTAGE. But I hardly ever crank anything out.

Your channel makes this feel so doable. Thank you for being awesome! My hang up is I last uploaded a year ago and not sure if I should just start a new channel or revive my old one? I have 40 subscribers on my other one and I was also dealing with some crazy issues. So a part of me is thinking "fresh start," but not sure if that would be best practice.

I think it can be really hard to be in front of the camera & that we can be our own BIGGEST critic. I’ve struggled with this too, and I’m 99.9% sure every other creator has struggled with this as well. Just remember that you don’t have to listen to the story your brain is telling you-you belong, you are worthy, and you are beautiful just as your are 🤗 there’s a place for all of us in content creation!! xoxo

I go through this every time I start down a new endeavor that is super expansive. When I started my podcast, when I started my UA-cam, when I started coaching, when I started offering courses. To me, it's a VERY GOOD SIGN that I'm on the right track. In order to birth anything new into the world, there will be contractions. AND you are a powerful being with so much to offer the world. You got this. Keep going. ❤

As a person who is practicing conscious manifesting can confirm that even though this is not particularly your thing you are already sharing pretty much manifesting techniques. Like there is no way of manifesting from the place of lack so finding things that confirm that you already possess the skill and possibilities (even if those are fractions of desired) is a good start for manifesting more of that.
Thank you for the video! Love how you shifted from technical to encouraging type of content ❤

I feel like I need a video on how to REGAIN confidence that’s been lost. I was feeling super confident and good about my content. Then I got my first truly nasty comment (very personal, attacking me as a person) and it’s really messed with my head. I’ve received dozens of positive comments and my channel is growing, but that one comment has made me question if UA-cam is healthy for me in the long run, because I just have an icky feeling now when I think about posting. If comments like that become common, I’m not sure my mental health could handle it.

Loving your advice, as I'm still working up my nerve. Have to say, I am an equal opportunity believer.....just as you think negative thoughts and create negative outcomes in life, the opposite has to be true as well. The bible says that words have power.....so be careful what you say. So.....speak good and powerful things about yourself and THEY WILL HAPPEN! You have the power. And yes, it's always hard to take your own advice! 🙄
