I was an Air Controller in the AF. The passenger planes are all following the same takeoff flight path. The helicopter should of never been in that restricted area.
Seems reasonable and what a reasonable person would think. Who is in charge and ultimately responsible is an interesting thought
Correct. The PSA RJ would’ve been on a STAR-makes no sense that the Blackhawk wound up there….
as an air controller in the Army I don't get departure and incoming ac on the same course'
Then why didn't the controller start yelling that to the chopper pilot. What is wrong with you people? Do your job. And stop whining.
the helicopter flew into the plane
Those poor people , how sad
It looks like the helicopter flew directly into the plane. Intentional?
So sad ...
Release the audio and see if they heard allahu arkbar or something
@ think air travel Thursday will be …business as usual? No weather influences? Can we trust our own airways any more? Give me confidence
The helicopter definitely flew into the plane. A helicopter could have veered off. Something is very wrong here.
Umm doesnt look like an accident; the helicopter went straight directly to the plane!!
Looks like it to me too..
Yuppers
It’s crazy how people with 0 understanding makes such wild claims. Show me an accident involving a collision that doesn’t look like this. It’s so important if you don’t know what you’re talking about. Don’t.
That is exactly what most aircraft collision look like. The pilots are unsighted (for whatever reason). I have seen this happen in broad daylight - in that case the chopper pilot did survive. But in both cases the chopper pilot was at fault. Even if this Blackhawk was cleared by ATC to cross the approach path, as pilots we always assume the worst case scenario - not seeing a landing aircraft.

This dose not like an accident!
It absolutely does look like an accident, I beg you to look into how ATC and approach patterns work before you make such claims
I think you might be right! The location as well is suspicious
Idiot
Did helicopter have nvg's? I wonder?
please write a normal sentence.
Helicopter (coming from left side on screen) Flew directly toward Passenger Aircraft at precisely the same altitude.
How could the Helicopter not physically see the Jet?!!! Then also how could the instrumentation fail to alert pilots of both crafts as well as flight tower???
It doesn't add up!
You're right. I don't understand what happened here. I live down the highway from this about 20 minutes.
the helicopter was asked if they had the traffic in sight, they said they did, but were clearly looking at the wrong traffic, they were then told to pass behind them
Keep in mind at that altitude and proximity to the airport they both are listening to Air Traffic Control.
@@climbmaintainhow do you know that?
@@bonnymcdonald3985 The same way we have video of the accident. ATC communication is listened to by everybody on the frequency.
Tragic accident? Both pilots are well trained & should be familiar with the flight paths. This should not have happened. This looks like a Black Op. We need to get a look at the passenger list. The Copter could have easily been flown remotely. No military pilot is so incompetant to fly into the flight path of an airport. This is suspicious at the least.
Goodness...😮 As a pilot I am sure of only one thing: pilots (Airforce and otherwise) and ATC are human and DO make mistakes. Often.
@@brandwessels8582. The lunacy in the comments on all these feeds is unbelievable. Just retired my FA job last year.
They said the military helicopter was a training flight. Mistakes happen in training, not ideal but they happen.
Это же явно видно- не случайность!!!
That doesn't look accidental
Looks like the helicopter targeted the plane. Are we sure it was a helicopter, not a drone?
Why is this even a question?
Im no pilot but how tf do you fly into a flashing airplane.
@fred-n6u lmao checks out
Become a pilot & you'll learn how this happens. Despite best practices, It happens. The NTSB investigation will tell us exactly how
As a commercial pilot I can tell you it is much easier than you think. I am aware of many close calls in my career. From pilot error, to ATC cock-ups, to sheer bad luck, to complete stupidity. I have seen exactly this scenario happen - in broad daylight.
@fred-n6u all the unqualified white people will start getting back their jobs.
LOOKS TARGETED
For sure
For sure
@@nocnoc9931Blachhawk helicopter. I guess you can call it a drone if you like...
That’s what I was thinking.
The helicopter moved straight into the airplane. It looks like the airplane blew up.
So....i wonder who was on the plane...
60 passengers.
That’s what I was thinking too.
that’s always my first question
@@heywhatsthatsmell”friends,” yes
It was an ICE flight to Mexico.
The helicopter pilot either had a stroke or this was intentionally flown into that plane.
I second that notion
Both have anti collision alarms way before any situation happens....
Yes and @Limejuice305, and in another video, 😊the tower was heard asking both planes if they saw each other
It looks intentional
It looks intentional.
This looks intensional. So sad. I hope this wasn’t a terrorist attack.
Nothing surprises me anymore these days. These days we live in a world thats a 24/7 combo of Clown-world and Crazy-town!
Terrorist attack by our own military. Like Hawaii, California, they have maps showing their planned land grabs. We saw from Hawaii and California how they go about it. Texas, Florida, other states.
I'm not trolling. I'm being serious. This could come back to someone with TDS.
I wouldn't be surprised, if it were. They're getting desperate..
Who died? Americans most likely….
That is unreal! This has been the CRAZIEST week in 20 years
Right I was thinking that too and there are things going on all over the country that are smaller in nature but still awful.
What happened in 2005? America invading for false wmd?
Uhhhhh... remember March 2020?
In what way exactly? We have seen much worse.
Why would any helicopter be flying anywhere near such a busy air space? It's one of the most busy airports in the country. All bases need to establish rules prohibiting their helicopters anywhere near airports.
64 passengers is not a small aircraft
I think he was talking about the smaller vehicle
Most passenger planes have more than double that
@@SinderSetawait wasn’t a full commercial plane, regional jet.
In commercial aviation that is relatively small - but initially some reports also had the first 911 aircraft down as a "small aircraft". It happens often during the first reports of all accidents. Even eye-witness accounts can vary drastically. Technically the CRJ700 (if identified correctly) is a "Medium" sized aircraft of up to 70 000lbs. The Blackhawk is not exactly "small" either at around 13 000lbs.
@@SinderSetawayeah but most planes in general are much smaller.
I am saving a copy of this video before it gets taken down!
Oh for sure
@@angelaculp9404I must tell you… blonde is the best 😢
The description has it backwards. The _helicopter_ collided with the _plane._
Helicoptors are quite maneuverable. It's hard to believe that it didn't see a big a$$ plane in air with flashing FAA lights and ran into it. Something stinks here...
I mean how big is the sky ?
Bigger than any other traffic scheme. It is 3 dimensional. Everything else is 2 dimensions. $hit really has to go wrong for this to happen. Flying near an airport demands constant situational awareness. This makes no sense.
It’s been an earth-shattering January so far.
OMG, this is awful, I hate to say it but it looks like that helicopter purposely flew into that plane. Curious who was on the plane!
Is this an attack or a tragic incident?
Tragic accident. They do happen sometimes
The military chopper was heading into the flight path of civilian passenger planes. Should of never been flying in the restricted area.
I have seen many people call the final a restricted area. It isn’t. As for why this happened, I can’t come to a conclusion with the information available.
I bet the black box will conveniently "never be found" or the data will be "undiscernible"
The Blackhawk doesn’t have one.
@@LEVELGAZANOW The airplane does.
@ The aircraft won’t be able to say much beyond they were stabilized on an approach to RWY 33. The CVR will record the surprised flight crew in their final 10 seconds but it won’t say too much.
It looks like an attack.
Your darn tootn
@@davidconn3222 What in tarnation partner
This is what happens when DEI takes over the FAA.
What does this even mean?
@@sapphicgeek24 It means the chopper pilot wasn't a white dude
Seriously? Saying things like this stupidity brings the US down so much. The ppl are tooth and nail against each other spewing contagious stupidity on SM everyday. It’s destroying your country. Take a look around. Ugh. Ffs.
@ The pilots don't work for the FAA. If we didn't have DEI you would have been taught this.
@ If it was crazy nonsense you would have no reaction too it. It's the vein of truth that makes this comment intolerable.
So this is the reason for all the mysterious drone sightings. Testing abilities of airport radar & how long it takes to detect remote piloted aircraft of different sizes & shapes at different altitudes. A training exercise for this event. "Copter" was at the perfect altitude in the right spot at the exact second that the plane would pass.
Why do they keep saying the plane crashed into the helicopter? What video are they watching? 😡
It was copter. Moron
Because obviously the faster PLANE on final approach to land coming from the LEFT, crashed into the much slower HELICOPTER in the CENTER/RIGHT
@ You completely missed the point
What is the helicopter doing in the airplane space?
This doesn't look or seem like an accident.🤔
Prayers for those who perished, and their families. Sad how this was probably so avoidable. RIP.
Another whistleblower taken out
Wow, this is tragic. Praying for the families of those involved
Can a Blackhawk be remote controlled?
Where was Air Traffic Control?
Busy having say gex
All the comm from the aircraft, rapcon, and tower should be recorded. I wouldn't doubt that the ASR radar tracking data is recorded as well. Eveything will be time-stamped by a GPS clock. It's possible that lack of NAV lights on the aircraft can play a role in the collision.
The Helicopter went into the Airplane….its almost impossible without pilot error or purposely… Radar , Tower and visibility was there … looked like the Helicopter went straight for the Aircraft on purpose
Yes
For what reason?????
@@MonaLi-fl1bb we will have to see, this will take time, just happend
Actually looks like the much faster airplane went into the slower helicopter. By accident. Airplanes are much faster than helicopters, and pilots are very pre-occupied when landing and have limited visibility looking out, do you see how that could work?
@@gfystarshine What a dumb thing to say. Planes have defined paths. The plane was on its landing path. Helicopters are the ones who can go up, down, left, right, front, back very easy. The helicopter carries the complete fault of this tragedy.
Seems like an attack to me.
How does that even happen?? Was it Intentional?
WHO WAS ON THE HELI AND THE PLANE sumfang ain't right herrrrrrr
BIG POSSIBILITY OF TERRORISTS. THAT HELICOPTER TARGETED THAT PLANE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED.
Ugh, no.
Who was aboard that plane they wanted taken out🤔
how that helicopter was allowed to fly near airport
How does this happen? Didn't the helicopter pilot see the plane?
It almost looks intentional but how could that be?
Who are the passengers?
Really?
People
People. From Kansas
This look more like a terrorist attack... The helicopter was purely on a mission. What a sad development
How could that happen
What is a Blackhawk helicopter doing in DC ?
They operate there literally every single day, flying VIP missions between Andrews AFB/Fort Belvoir and the Pentagon.
Limousine service.
Are you serious?
I found it, thank you..
It was only a matter of time. There were so many close calls over the past few years, and nothing done about it. I blame Mayor Pete.
It's ridiculous to blame Pete Buttigieg. Just stop.
@ no. It’s ridiculous to blame Trump who has been in office a week. We’ve had countless close calls and absolutely nothing was done about it. Just blind eyes. 100% on Pete.
This is way too random to be happenstance, the incompetence will be too unbelievable!
How did Air Traffic Control let this happen?
Exactly 😮
Air traffic controller asked the blackhawk " do you see flight ____" and no response back.
They tried to stop it
It shouldn't have happened, the black box data will need to be investigated
I had no idea atc was flying that chopper
With the amount or radar and technology this does not happen on accident.
A passenger plane has collided with a military US Army Blackhawk helicopter over the Potomac river outside Reagan National Airport in Washington, DC.
No, the helicopter collided into the passenger plane. Get it right!
FAA comfired, it was the passenger jet that collided with the helicopter.
So blackhawk's are constantly seen flying around there...flying officials here and there. It is a blackhawk. Why the pilot didn't confirm the plane? Both flights were seen on radar. 🤷♀️
@@ALJ6750Negative. It was the helicopter that collided with the aircraft. The aircraft is on the right coming in for a landing with its approach lights on. The helicopter is on the left.
@@ALJ6750 no, they didn't. The helicopter was told to pass behind the aircraft.
100% pilot error
Probably. Somebody was in the wrong controlled airspace. It will be properly investigated
We don't need no damn NTSB. We have all the experts in the UA-cam comments section.
What kind of mission was this?
A pilot in training mission
Norfolk Virginia handles these in that area. You got Ft.Bragg in North Carolina or I dare not think they were headed from Tennessee. It could have been a routine flight back after maintenance on it. It could be a 100 different reasons
I think NASA organized this as a political favor.
Who was on the plane?
Why don’t you see any helicopters flying with lights to search
Don't helicopters have windows?
No they are cemented over
All around the entire helicopter, from what I’ve seen!
Why is she. repeating what journalist just said???
That looks like a drone and it doesn’t make any sense how it happened planes are fast you don’t crash into one by accident
Was someone not paying attention? Distracted flying? Intentional? Blind? How could a pilot not see an airplane?
Thankfully, it was not Trump’s plane.
Trump is NOT more important than those 60+ individuals who are deceased! Have some decorum! What an insensitive and gross comment on your end! 😢
There is really no way to tell a helicopter from a plane? I have no aviation experience and can tell the two aircraft apart from this video and so can my 10 year old
Who was on these aircrafts?
It's too early in the investigation 'be patient ' I'm just as curious too I want to know
@hybrid alien, was a rhetorical question, Bot.
@@sodman4874..ok.. okay 👍.. I thought you were just an ashole
What was the black hawk doing at 9pm
Flying. And then apparently getting crashed into by an airplane
That poor ATC controller - can you imagine? He will be second guessing himself for the rest of his life - probably inconsolable right now - 😞
I agree. Blackhawk may have been invisible on the screen, or may have disregarded atc instruction. The poor controller will by now have been isolated and subjected to interviews and blood tests as standard procedures.
It's not a small aircraft.
What did they know about Hiliary?
In South Korea, two accidents occurred within one month. There is opposition all over the world.

Looks like to me they had plenty of time to turn but no one tried it seems that’s weird
NASA did this.
Somebody in ATC is going to jail.
Wow this doesn't look right
We are cursed!
could have been a suicide mission, that helicopter flew straight for that jet. man there sure has been a lot of plane crashes going on in the past few years, that is for sure. wishing the families the best.
Could have been an accident, that much faster jet coming from the left probably didn't see the much slower helicopter and flew right into it
2 crashes in DC in 3 months what's the odds
Seems purposely done
That looks like it bee lines for the ✈️
That looks like a controlled crash. Thats sad man smh. If it was intentionally smh. .
Either an ATC failure or the pilots negligence
Looks intentional to me!
Now the question is, was the air traffic controller a DEI hire?
Everybody kiss the ground, Everybody say you're sorry. Deepakalypse. Look him up.
That’s why I never fly. Any incident up there results in zero survivors. Scary & sad 😞
Seems like it was at a low approach, maybe landing or taking off and overcorrected? Wonder what the blackbox tells us
How in the eff does a military helicopter just fly into a passenger plane? Something isn't right here. Why was that chopper even there at a civilian field?
DEI helicopter pilots too?
Looks more like one of those “drones” they said was nothing. That ppl kept posting videos of. 🤔
It does doesnt it
So many conspiracy bots in the comments. How is every single event, every single crash, everything that ever happens is somehow a conspiracy theory? Can nothing ever just be an accident? Like pilot error?
Now you know why RFK is so popular
Republicans have been defunding the education system for decades, and it shows
Doesn't look like an accident in this case unfortunately
"Got info from my active duty pilot bud, “it was a VH-60 from 12th AB. Allegedly they didnt have their transponder on so there's no way the pilots would have known their altitude before crashing into them"
You mean like maybe looking at their altimeter? Try knowing what you're talking about before you try talking about it
Heli could have accidentally flew into the path of the jet. Blindspots, maybe the pilot wasn't on an FAA channel to hear the warnings.
The helicopter was probably below and the plane landing can't see below. Rumor is plane has no survivors
The plane should not be put in a situation to look below. You make no sense. That helicopter should not have been anywhere close to the path of that passenger plane
Helicopter looked like it flew directly and intentionally into a plane in front of it...
Air traffic control???
😘🍺.. hey..!!.. a MILF..!!!!
I thought they had radar to tell if two aircraft are getting to close
