I found out why I can't whistle. When my adult teeth were growing in, two of my front canines decided not to grow. I basically have 2 gaps in front of my teeth. The closest I get to a whistle is the shrill sound, but when I pull my upper lip upward, the whistle progress goes silent. 😞
I think I'm in a similar boat. Larger than average buck teeth that protrude farther than the neighboring teeth, small gap between them but not much, and the only whistle sound I can get here is when I bring my upper lip down into the equation and bring my jaw backwards, both alterations against the vid's instructions. Also think I'm bringing my lower lip further back over my bottom teeth. It's a distorted airy whistle sound that doesn't sound right, and I can't make it loud, so I'm pretty sure it's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. I can't get any whistle sound whatsoever with all combinations/positions that meet the vid's requirements :(
It knida just comes naturally to me. I just asked my dad how to do it when I was 5 and he showed me, I mimicked and hot it straight away. Lucky I guess. I actually can't finger whistle at all.
Been trying for over 2 months. The only whistle noise I can get is not loud, and it requires bringing my upper lip down, so I'm pretty sure that's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. Def should've made actual progress by now. After a month of no progress, I began wondering if I just don't have the correct mouth roof shape / teeth size to do it, so at that point it's like the consequences of being short height where there's nothing you can do to fix it.
That's a great start, you just need to get the perfect balance between the right amount of airflow through the right sized gap. So keep practising and adjusting, you'll get that ear piercing whistle in no time!

Can’t do the rattle thing. I can whistle a bit loudly but it’s like a deep whistle not a high pitch one.. I need that rattle but I can’t get my tongue to do that at all
That's a good start that you already have a deep whistle, now it should just be a case of adjusting your tongue relative to your teeth and forcing the air through the right gap. This takes time but you'll nail it eventually!
@@jobacusmovies I got it more the other day.. can almost do the high pitched one amd felt my tongue rattle slightly. That’s definitely when you get a louder whistle. I’m stuck between two techniques tho atm 😂 thanks for the help tho buddy! 👍🏻
Hey bud. First of all, thks a lot. Great video! I haven't figured it out just yet, but I wanna know if the air should come out aiming forward or downward?
Can you vouch for these claims? 1. The tongue's tip should not touch the lips or teeth. 2. The sides of the tongue should brush against the upper teeth but not the lower teeth. 3. When the tongue muscle is strong, the notch on the tip of the tongue develops over time. 4. The tongue should cover all of the upper teeth, with only a small opening in front for air to escape. 5. Teeth should be used to pull the tongue tip back by tightening the sides of the tongue. Do you have any more suggestions? Why don't you make another video with new tips, as this one is your most popular on UA-cam?
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it's very helpful. I just have two questions. When you mentioned press the tongue against the lower lip, how hard do you have to press it, like really light, full on hard press or somewhere in between? Also, when you mentioned keeping that gap between tongue and upper teeth small, do you have to bite down hard or do you let the tongue come up to meet the teeth? Thanks for clarifying, and thanks for the video
Thanks a lot man! And great questions! In answer to the first one, it's really lightly. And for the second one you let the tongue and teeth meet together (remember the tongue should stay level with the bottom lip), but again very lightly, don't bite down hard otherwise you'll struggle to get that small gap. Keep adjusting until you get that initial shrill sound and then power on!

Just keep at it buddy! You'll get a feel for it with practise
I'm just spitting everywhere.
I have a distinct whistle now thanks to this video and the other video but it's not loud! How can I make my whistle ear piercing??!
That's a great start, you just need to get the perfect balance between the right amount of airflow through the right sized gap. So keep practising and adjusting, you'll get that ear piercing whistle in no time!
You are realy good teacher!👍
Dude you are a genius,I have been trying it since last year and cannot product a clear sound. But you suggested perfect technique especially the position of tongue and where to blow air.Thank u bro♥️.Love♥️ from India 🇮🇳 And Fuck to all those guys suggesting rubbish and complicated way
Thanks a lot bro! That's really encouraging, great to get support from India! ❤️ I hope you're mastering the fingerless whistle
@@jobacusmovies please upload one more detailed tutorial.I have share it to 100s of my friends and all had liked it.Keep it up bro ,stay safe and keep uploading ♥️👌♥️
I taught myself how to whistle like this and I can whistle decently loud like this. But it's not loud enough. My dad you can hear for like blocks away
Hey bud. First of all, thks a lot. Great video! I haven't figured it out just yet, but I wanna know if the air should come out aiming forward or downward?
Congratulations
Thanks mate
The idea of not blowing hard to start was crucial for me. More air doesn’t mean you’ll get it faster, good stuff
Good stuff mate!
I'm lightheaded
I’ve been watching yt vids too about whistling all my life since im a lil boy i cant do it but i still cant do it my tongue seems like woundt relax so it doesn't move when i blow
I cant help it by laughin when you're trying, cuz i know its the same with me.. 🤣
It's a nightmare at first, repeat after repeat, only getting more light headed as you go on
Great tutorial. Still cant do it 😂😂
Feels weird realizing I just spent the last 7 minutes staring at another male's mouth. But the vid was helpful, nonetheless!
Can't get the whistle yet... But I'm pretty sure I've mastered Parseltongue 😉
I can whistle really loud without my hands but I can’t whistle at all with my hands
His face as he does it😂😂
cheers mate
