  • Today I'm going to show you Exactly how to calculate number of bags of Cement in a cubic metre, estimation of Cement or how to calculate the quantity of Cement for concrete.
    Is material quantity calculation important? Yes to know the cost of Construction before for better planning.
    First, I'll show you Concrete mix ratios for grade 25, grade 20, grade 15 and how to mix concrete correctly to get a strong reinforced concrete structure.
    Next you'll learn how to use Density of Plain Cast Concrete or PCC and Density of Cement to calculate the volume of Cement
    In the end You will have all the necessary knowledge and information when you want to know the number of bags of Cement you need for casting concrete of any grade

    Hello sir ,why didn't you use the 1440kg/m3 constant you used in your other video to calculate the cement.

    sir,in confined masonry Substructure from pcc till plinth level can we use cement solid blocks?

    • @ianconstruction
      @ianconstruction  Рік тому

      Yes, and
      Cement Solid blocks(Solid Concrete blocks) used in the foundation or sub structure, should be of atleast 5.0_MPA Compressive Strength Complying to BS 5628
      then
      For walls above DPC (Superstructure)
      Cement Solid blocks (Concrete Blocks) or burnt clay bricks should be of atleast 3.5_MPA Compressive strength Complying to BS 5628

    is it batch by volume or mass?

    • @ianconstruction
      @ianconstruction  Рік тому +1

      It is batch by Volume

    • @mwangibenson5199
      @mwangibenson5199 Рік тому +1

      @@ianconstruction that means you should have calculated volumes using those ratios then use respective densities to get mass

    • @ianconstruction
      @ianconstruction  Рік тому

      @@mwangibenson5199 Batching in my opinion is preparing sets of materials say 1:2:3 meaning 1 match box of Cement, 2 batch boxes of Sand and 3 batch boxes of Aggregates [All which are by volume ] because THIS IS WHAT WE ACTUALLY MEASURE ON SITE
      To make things simpler and easy to calculate we use Mass, Density and Volume. We use all the three derived quantities to quantitate everything [into Mass] say 50kg of Cement, because THIS IS WHAT WE ACTUALLY ORDER FROM THE HARDWARE Or Other.
      The rest is simple conversion forexample 50kg(Mass) of Cement = 0.035cm³(Volume)
      Similarly Lets say 1530kg (Mass) of Lake sand = 1CM³ (Volume)
      In summary, when you either get a value in kg you just convert to cubic metres or cubic ft etc.
      I hope I answered your question sir?

      @@ianconstruction my issue was that if the total volume was 1 cubic meter, you could have just calculated the volume of cement, sand and ballast instead of mass because your ratios are volumes. from the volumes, you could have just obtained mass if you know the density of individual components. Either way i think both ways can work
