I LOVE this set! Despite being a smaller castle, it’s such a good place to ‘hide’ for the wolfpack. I remember playing with this one for hours!
Wolfpack are my favorite faction in all of Castle, and Castle is already my favorite theme in all of Lego!
Man, old castle sets are in my opinion the best sets lego ever released.

One of my favourite castle's set! I finally got one few months ago, never had one in my childhood, and it was awesome to build it!

This was one of my earliest set I ever recieved. Nice to see old sets being reviewed and be reminded how they look built up once more.
I remember getting this for Christmas 30 years ago. I'm old now.
Chose this set as 1 of my birthday gifts from the money I collected " from my birthday of course" and never regretted it. Even though my mother did not understand why I wanted this. It is such an esthetically pleasing building. And like most buildings back in the day it's just a facade. Not many buildings had much going for them on the inside, and it was up to your imagination what everything was.

Good old castle
Finally, after 3 years you review my favorite castle set! Got this for Christmas in 2016, complete thankfully!
This was the key set I had as a kid. Couldn't afford the big castles so this and the war wagon for me!

I had a box full of my elder brothers' old Lego from the 80s and 90s, and have since organized it all. Looking at the pieces and the minifgures, it looks like they may have had this set at one point
Just finished my original one again. Hours and hours of looking at a couple of bricks :-D But in the end, completed with all the pieces :-)

I would love to see Lego make a new castle theme with sets more like this. A new pieces and techniques could make for some really nice castles and towers.
I kinda like what they have started doing this year with a few releases with the BlackSmith Set and the Lions Castle. ...not a fan of the Forest Hideout re-release since I have to buy it second hand, but otherwise happy with the modern redo of it.
Same with the Pirate line and the Barracuda Bay and Creator Pirate Ship.
Super-nostalgic, this set.

Lego is not a smart company. They're sitting on a nostalgia gold mine with all the old castle themes, and all the old sci-fi themes, and instead of releasing updated versions of some of them, even as a trial basis, they just sit there and lose 1 billion dollars profit.
Keego Bricks and they’re charging way too much for sets. I can’t afford any of the good ones and neither can others. If they lowered the price more people would buy not only because it’s more affordable but also better priced.
It's hard to know how much lego is actually charging. Plastic is extremely cheap, granted the machining process is difficult and with lego the quality is higher than with other building blocks brands. But if you look at mega bloks/constructs or even Kreo, the quality isn't much lower and at least in Mega blok's case sometimes it's actually better than lego and for practically half the cost.
I...was going to echo those price complaints, but it looks like others got here before me this time. Carry on!
Unfortunately, kids these days don't have nostalgia for old Castle, Space or Town sets. Nexo Knights, SW and City are those themes nowadays.
So? Lego has a lot more adult fans than most toy companies do. Again, sitting on a gold mine- would rather lose a billion dollars in earnings rather than even try and see what the nostalgia market is up to. I mean Hollywood is literally doing nothing but trying to bank on nostalgia, lego should at least try to.
I mean this guy has almost 5 thousand views, clearly there's a market for old style sets.

I made a really cool version of this castle out of my own pieces
Poeple commenting that Lego needs to bring back classic castle and space style sets. Lego bring back classic space with benny space squod and other sets with the Lego movies. Lego will not bring back classic castle yet as they have just done Nexo knights and they can't have both on market as they would clash. Lego will bring back castle themes when Nexo Knights is done. Nexo Knights and Ningago are ancient inspired sets with futuristic tech.

200 points, not a piece count. You could clip the corners off the instruction booklets, collect enough points, and send them in for free small sets and/or mini figures. I wish I had saved some of my lego magazines, I'm fuzzy on the details...

missing pieces isn't a problem when buying opened sets....... you have to be smart and buy opened sets that are 100% complete its pretty easy.... I've boughten at least 50 opened sets and never had a missing piece
