    I used to cook/chef and I found some old pans from my grandparents. have been hand sanding one for over a year I gave up until I saw you whip out the grinder! Now I will have my own smooth, non pitted pan again. You cannot buy craftsmanship anymore, only make it by hand.

      Get the finest grit flap disk you can find for the grinder. It takes it off fast!

      @@E_Fleming That is the part I was hesitant about. These old pans are not like the thick LODGE pans now. How far up the side should I grind? I use the entire depth, about 3" on the side.

    I tried to use grapeseed oil to cook filet mignon in a cast iron skillet, but it caught fire, so i put it outside, it got all rusty so I threw it away, I wish I had this video then!
