This review helped me pull the trigger on the same one as in the video, and man, I am so glad I did! It's my first gunbelt, and I couldn't be happier with it as it has exceeded all expectations. Im now a fan and will definitely be doing more business with Kore in the near future. ✌️
I was an original Kickstarter backer of these guys. The OG belts 2 pack w hanger were very good for the price and lasted me years. I lost one to theft, and the black one I had lasted well worth its life and again was lost at a beach just this year. I just picked up the tiger stripe limited run in 2024.
As a man with a ‘tactical muffintop’ my life was changed by micro adjustments in general. I have been wearing my kore belt (with or without a holster) every day for the last 9 months. I love it. The buckle is the one issue, but they didn’t have the x7 when I bought it so I am looking to a slightly lower profile buckle with my next purchase. I wear it to the side like you do.
@@a.d.c7941 Depends on what you are comparing it to I think. Compared to any 'normal' belt you'd find at walmart or such, it will be very stiff. But if you are comparing it to a typical war belt, it's going to be very flimsy. About 6 months ago, I picked up one of Kore's Garrison belts (their 1.75in belts) and have liked it even more. It is more stiff than their EDC. The buckle is still big and I still wear it off to the side. I pretty much always wear that belt now if I am going out for more than a quick trip to the store and expect to have 'things' attached to my belt. If I am just around the house, I still will wear the EDC and 1.75 clips I have on 'holdy things' will still work fine for quick errands.
Oh and just to say it, I plan on getting some other colors. Any new belt I get will be Garrison for daily and I will probably get their Battle belt at some point.
@@kickinbahk Thank you!! I was considering the Garrison or the blue alpha belt but I don’t know if the velcro would hope up or become annoying. I really appreciate you pointing out that about the kore. U r the first ive seen to really thoroughly break it down. Most have just praised it. Thank you so much.
@@a.d.c7941 I have had the same concerns about the blue alpha belt. I know you can adjust them too, but seems it would definitely be obnoxious and I can think of many situations where velcro hasn't held up to the number of times I typically adjust my Kore belts through the day. Maybe the BA crew has some special velcro sauce, but no one talked about it so I went with Kore. I also compared Kore to NexBelt and I saw more reviews of Nex's ratcheting system wear out. Means I wear my buckle to the side due to size and rig, but is worth it to me for a longer-lasting system/buckle (the nylon belts are way cheaper to replace than the buckle).
I just got theyre kore battle belt and it is a step above my ronin belt. It adjusts like there edc belts and I can pull it super tight to hold a ton of gear. I love it total its a game changer.

I bought 2 belts about 2 years ago and wear one every day. Both only have very minor wear and tear that has nothing to do with function. Best belts on the market whether you carry a pistol or not.
I’ve had one of these belts for years. I love the adjustment on the fly. When I get home and remove the gun and can just tighten it up. I too wish it was a little more rigid. My only real complaint with this belt after having it for so long is that right in the middle of my back the belt now has a little spot where I guess it’s not making a complete circle around my body, but angled a little bit. Hard to explain, but if you wear it for a long time you’ll notice.that being said, I am not changing belts. I love this thing. *edit. This is my edc belt even when not carrying a gun.
my blue alpha was getting pretty worn and I sort of outgrew the tactical look so I got one of these in leather and am very impressed with quality and even more so the way it fits my waist. Definitely worth the $60.
Caleb saw this video, bought a kore belt and wow!! It is really nice. I never had a belt fit like this befor. Thank you for the recommendation. I will be buying a brown leather one soon.
Just got mine, blacked out with the x7 buckle for concealment. It's alot more rigid than I expected, but it's not uncomfortable at all. This is my first gun belt so I can't compare it to anything, but I can see this being much thinner than a leather belt. It does seem like a bit overkill for a small micro pistol, the racheting system feels solid and really easy to adjust when sitting down. The 8lb rating really points this as a duty style belt, if they could make a softer belt that's slightly stretchy like the groove life belt, that would make this conceal better AIWB, but that's just nit picking.

Thanks man 👍 I hear ya about the WTP belt. I have one of them as well and my main complains it that it’s gotta pretty much be taken apart to get it on a pair of pants.
I do wish the belt is stiffer. When i try to tighten it to the max before it gets uncomfortable for maximum stealth, the belt tend to sag forward due to the weight of my gun.
@@CalebDowning I have a FN 509 Compact Tactical with an extra mag. I wear my belt just below the hip bone (not sure if this is how I'm supposed to wear one) but when I sit or bend over when working, the belt slides up and it prints little more and becomes uncomfortable on my lower back overtime due to the front of the belt sagging downward.

Trying to get into concealed carry and edc and I couldn't find anything better. I dress very casually, so a leather belt would look out of place, so I wanted webbing. I don't carry a ton and my P365XL is a pretty small package for a guy like me, but I still wanted that consistency and the ability to clip more on if I need it. Got a similarly small buckle and I'm absolutely pumped to get it, I've wanted to ccw ever since I was a kid. Idc that I look nothing like most ccw/edc dudes I see, hell I look like I'd be at an anti-gun rally, but it was never about the looks, it was always about having an option in the worst case scenario. Does anyone make a gun belt for someone active? When I work I'm always walking bending twisting lifting driving jumping etc. I have the Kore and it's way too stiff and uncomfortable. It's like I'm being choked
I don’t see why it would have any problems handling that weight. I just did a class and the instructor carried a full sized Walther. Several folks had 1911/2011’s and had bore belts. None of them seemed to have any problems holding up the weight.
Caleb when you hold a belt on the ends and wiggle it every belt is going to wobble like that. Even my hanks and ronin belts do. When I wrap my kore tactical belt around my waist it feels damn stout as all get out totally stiff. Almost too stiff.
Honestly I don't know how you got the end of the belt to fray like that, i have been wearing a X5 for over a year about 80 hours a week and the damn thing looks brand new. I have some input about wanting a "stiffer" belt. The Kore is already very ridgid width wise and I don't feel like that was your con. I feel like it is already like a holahoop and any more rigid would not be good. Like tightening a steel drum ring for the lid. At some point I am not perfectly round, so if my belt was even more ridged I would be making it tighter than I'd like in places in order to be tight enough in other places.. pretty sure than can be explained better and maybe for a yr old thread no one cares.. just my 2 cents.
That’s a very solid point 👌 I’m wearing that belt now an at this point I don’t think I’d want it any stiffer. I actually like your analogy of a steel drum lid. Thanks for you input man 😎👊🏻
@@CalebDowning I run a Tier One Concealed holster with Discreet Carry clips. Have you ever run these on that holster? They seem like they are easier to put on and off than the discreet carry. Just concerned about the moving around. Do they fit snuggly on a 1.5” belt, with NO play?
Werkz recently sent me their updated M6 holster and mag caddy. Their new clips are metal and very secure. There is play if you use the straps but no play if you use their new metal clips.
I had the worst experience with @Kore my pins gave out by the belt buckle. Also the Spring/button made holes on my shirts and pants. Called them and no one got back to me. decided to go with Nexbelt appendix carry! Best choice ever!
Dang man 😬 That’s not good. I’ve found that any time I wear appendix holsters my shirts will inevitably get little holes in them. That’d be bad if the hardwear on the buckles gave out though. Yikes 😳
@@CalebDowning I think @kore uses pins still and @nexbelt uses screws. which kinda gives feels a little more secure. the nexbelt appendix is a button so maybe it will prevent holes.

Hey Caleb, I see that your X7 buckle kind of pivots side to side at the screw pivot points. I recently got the belt and mind doesn’t do that (the buckle is a solid piece). Did this pivoting of the X7 buckle happen overtime with wear?
Bro ordering a new strap (color change, the belt is still perfect after 5 years). YOURE USING TERMS INCORRECTLY CALL KORE AND ASK THEM (RIGIDITY VS CRUSH) Just found this vid, bro the Kore essentials belts are RIGID AF zero crush which is where it counts NOT "FLOPPY" floppy isn't a way to describe these belts at all. Flexibility in the length is COMFORT... VERTICAL RIGIDITY RESISTS CRUSH PUT A THUMB ON THE BOTTOM EDGE AND YOUR FOREFINGER ON THE TOP EDGE AND SQUEEZE...ZERO CRUSH AND THATS WHAT YA NEED FOR CONCEALED OR OPEN CARRY OF A HANDGUN
The belt is great. Is the way you carry your weapon sustainable. It looks very uncomfortable. The weapon is so big. Is this really your EDC? It looks so very clunky. Let me know if this is just for the video or if your actually running around with a hand cannon in lodged against your stomach every day.
This was my EDC setup. I’ve switched to a Tier1 Holster. It’s pretty much the same size as the one in the video and it’s very comfortable. The holster in the video was comfortable but it didn’t conceal as well as the Tier1. Believe it or not, these “big” holster do a great job of concealing and spreading the weight of the gun to make everything pretty dang comfortable.
Not sure what you think that. It’s been the best edc belt I’ve worn to date. If you don’t carry a cub the. You probably don’t need a stiff/sturdy belt and could get away with something smooth and stretchy perhaps 🤷♂️

I’ll definitely check out Nexbelt 🤔 That’ll be pretty cool if they work like that 👌
Yes KORE offers 3 smaller buckles perfect for appendix carry - X7, X9 & X10 buckles. Thanks
@@Koreessentialsbrand he is wearing the x7.
Awesome review! I definitely want to get the X7 👍
Get it man👍 I absolutely love mine 🤙
And thanks for the encouragement Joe!
I got one coming from amazon because the kore website wasnt accepting my card for some reason. Hoping it works well with my aliengear iwb holster
Sweet 👍 I still wear my Kore belt almost every day.
Caleb I god damn love my Kore belts (3) cause I eat a lot somedays and I need that adjsuting feature to hug my waist and then I load them up with gear and they dont sag.
Hey awesome video I purchased a Weed the People Gun tactical belt and O my God it's a pain in the h-ass to put it through the loops I'm telling you, I found this belt yesterday and about two of them easy taking it off and put it back on not like the we the people holster it sucks taking it in and out.👍🏽
Thanks man 👍
I hear ya about the WTP belt. I have one of them as well and my main complains it that it’s gotta pretty much be taken apart to get it on a pair of pants.
I got a leather belt that just isnt working. Bought a Kore. Is winter so I'm 2-3 o clock carry with cover garment.
Nice 👌
What does the x7 mean in the title?
That’s the model of belt.
I do wish the belt is stiffer. When i try to tighten it to the max before it gets uncomfortable for maximum stealth, the belt tend to sag forward due to the weight of my gun.
What gun are you carrying?
@@CalebDowning I have a FN 509 Compact Tactical with an extra mag. I wear my belt just below the hip bone (not sure if this is how I'm supposed to wear one) but when I sit or bend over when working, the belt slides up and it prints little more and becomes uncomfortable on my lower back overtime due to the front of the belt sagging downward.
Hmm, that is interesting. I haven’t had that problem but I’ll be interested to hear if others have had the same problem 🤔
@@chltmdwp Sorry never heard anyone complain that the belt sags forward? Even with a full size 1911, never heard that. I don't think you have it set up properly. Call us and we can assist you. Thanks.
Tangent aside, looks great. Can't wait.
I love it man 👊🏻That’s straight “Gray Man” stuff right there. Never tried and have the “look”, you be you 👌
belts are so key to better carry- kore is legit
Absolutely 👍 I just got in their Duty Belt. That overview should be posting sometime soon.
They have stiffer options you should check it out
First and foremost, a great review on this product. Second, what kind of appendix holster were you using with that belt?
Awesome man, glad you got something out of it! The holster is made by WERKZ. They are a solid company and make good products.
Yap so many other Duty Belts you got to make a head call to adjust it in private.
So true...
So how long you been wearing the belt
Pretty much since I made the video. I’ve reviewed/tested some belts between this video and now but the vast majority of the time I wear this one.
If I'm not wearing my Blue Alpha Gear belt I'm wearing the Kore Essentials belt. They're really hard to beat it especially if you're having to dress up... Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Check out the emissary belt. I have the tier1 kore belt and it’s nice but the lever you adjust with digs into my hip since I off set it for a sidecar holster
Thanks Daniel! Thankfully we have options now days. It used to be only a couple "tactical" belt that made you look like a mall ninja or a leather belt that was too floppy... We've come a long way.
@@CalebDowning yeah I know what you mean them big police duty belts, those big rigger belts, or those quarter inch thick heavy leather belts were about the best you could find if you wanted to carry a gun and hold your pants up... LOL I have a thin 511 riggers belt I wear every now and then especially at work in the refineries it's a good cheap option I think I paid 15 bucks for it about 5 years ago...
Is this better than blue alpha ??
@@a.d.c7941 it really depends I love my blue alpha but when I'm wearing nicer clothes is when I'm wearing my Kore but they're both really good belts that you can't go wrong with eithet.either...
I like your gun holster what kind is it ? Also great video
Thanks Jonathan!
That’s the Werkz M6 holster 👍
Do you have the clip button on the bottom or the top?
I run mine with the clip button on the bottom.
Does anyone make a gun belt for someone active? When I work I'm always walking bending twisting lifting driving jumping etc. I have the Kore and it's way too stiff and uncomfortable. It's like I'm being choked
Yo may want to just go with an elastic belt 🤷♂️
We recommend wearing the belt around your waist - NOT your neck! :)
@@Koreessentialsbrand thanks
what is the model of the holster used in the videos? Do you have the store's website?
The holster is the M6 by WERKZ. If you google WERKZ then it’ll pop up 👍
Would you recommend this belt for heavier guns like PPQ Q5 SF?
I don’t see why it would have any problems handling that weight. I just did a class and the instructor carried a full sized Walther. Several folks had 1911/2011’s and had bore belts. None of them seemed to have any problems holding up the weight.
@@CalebDowning Thanks for your detailed and helpful response.
No problem 👊🏻
Caleb when you hold a belt on the ends and wiggle it every belt is going to wobble like that. Even my hanks and ronin belts do. When I wrap my kore tactical belt around my waist it feels damn stout as all get out totally stiff. Almost too stiff.
I still wear my Kore belt. It’s proven to be the most comfortable/durable belt I’ve used 👌
I nailed! Those are my belts.
Ya buddy 🤙
How is this belt compared to the X5?
Ya know… I’m not sure 🤔on paper they look pretty much the same 🤷♂️
Honestly I don't know how you got the end of the belt to fray like that, i have been wearing a X5 for over a year about 80 hours a week and the damn thing looks brand new.
Thanks for you input man 😎👊🏻
Kore belts are the best
They truly are… that’s my opinion at least 👌
What holster you got there?
That is the WERKZ M6 Holster.
Yeah ares belt is nice but 100 plus and hate the pin to adjust
Agreed 👍
What holster clips are those?
Those are the buckles from Werkz.
@@CalebDowning I took a look at these on their website. Don’t these allow the holster to move around a bit more, than the discreet metal clips?
@c.patricksadowski9959 They might on some body types, but I never noticed any movement.
This is a FAKE review. None of this is true. This person works for nexbelt.
Well that makes sense. Is this a little inside rivalry between y’all?
@@CalebDowning Yes, we were the first to release a heavy-duty ratchet belt to support a firearm. A few years later they copied us. Now we just introduced our new 1.75" range ratchet belts and ratchet battle belts. Thanks.
You want more rigid? Get the Kore Garrison belt 1.75”. It’s even more rigid than this X7 EDC. And I have both types.
Niiice 😎👍
Great review! Thanks for the video.
If you wore the buckle on the other side, would it cinch down tighter on the “claw” to make it sit tighter against your body? Give it a try and let us know.
I just tried that and ya know, it might actually help it conceal just a smidge better… who would have thought 🤷♂️
Thanks for the idea, I’m gonna play around with that a little 👌
@@CalebDowning I naturally use my buckle on the right side, but if you find it too uncomfortable or unnatural it might not make enough difference for you to Change. Worth a try though.
It does feel a little “backwards” right now but so did wearing it to the side when I started doing that. It’s definitely worth a try 👌
I’d prefer a solid plastic buckle. So I wouldn’t have to take it off at airport or federal buildings.
That would be pretty nice. I went through a newer security check recently and they didn’t make me take mine off. Technically advances 🤖
I just push this guy and it tightens that guy for this guy.
I love that guy 🫠
more stiff? if anything its too stiff lol. you don't want stiffness in the belt from side to side just vertically.
🤷♂️ It works for me. Whatever works for you, go for it 👍
Hey Caleb, I see that your X7 buckle kind of pivots side to side at the screw pivot points. I recently got the belt and mind doesn’t do that (the buckle is a solid piece). Did this pivoting of the X7 buckle happen overtime with wear?
Mine always had a pivot, maybe yours just had a tighter tolerance so it’s stiffer 🤷♂️
@@CalebDowning thanks for the reply upon playing around with my buckle it seems to get looser a bit I think overtime it will become like yours
Takin a piss in public restrooms still sucks no matter what belt you’re wearing. 😂
Haha, ain’t that the truth 😂🤦♂️
Great review, but why not just say what belt you used to wear…
Out of respect for Kore Essentials.
Nice dude 👍 I still wearing my Kore belts and love them.
Kore is excellent. Bar none.
Agreed 👌
I hate paid reviews. Or reviews where the reviewer hopes for more free stuff.
Totally agree 👍
Kore belts are crap for EDC 😂
Not sure what you think that. It’s been the best edc belt I’ve worn to date. If you don’t carry a cub the. You probably don’t need a stiff/sturdy belt and could get away with something smooth and stretchy perhaps 🤷♂️
He needs a sleeved UHMW belt to hold all that BS.
Exactly 😃 Except I have no idea what that is so…
4:34 to 4:36 is price less lol
Haha
It's to stiff almost
There is no such thing as too many belts.
Just grow a set and say the name of the other company. So sick of games and bs in here.
😎👍
I got to pick one up I like the ratcheting system
I use a magnetic belt while it's secure the belt starts to unloop from the buckle under weight
I carry a Rex zero 1s with a light so the holster starts to almost sag it still works I'd feel more comfortable if it didn't
Nice 👍 I haven’t tried the magnetic belts yet. The ratcheting buckle on these belts has been very secure for me though 👌
