First segment of the short lived TV version of Ferris Bueller co-starring Jennifer Aniston (before she was on Friends.) This episode aired in 1990 on NBC.
There is an idea of a Ferris Bueller; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there.
that guy did a pretty decent Bueller impression. He's no Broderick, but he's the next best thing. His voice just has the perfect Ferris tonality to it.
They referenced it where a side character calls him Ferris Lewis. It got a laugh from me. Plus an episode titled Ferris Bueller Can't Win. I've wasted my life.
This is so so so bad.....I'm so glad they never made a sequel to the film because its one of those films that could be expanded but its perfect being a stand alone film. It just leaves you wanting another day off but your so very happy and glad that you at least had the day off in the first place :-) Unlike this show.....I never want to see or hear about this again
Despite what some others have said, I kind of like how they acknowledged the movie. It's exactly what they would have done in the movie (breaking the 4th wall style). I think its ludicrous though that he says Broderick was too "white bread". Seriously? This kid says that and then gets dressed in a nice pair of chinos and a button down. Then in the opening credits, he looks like he's going yachting (90s style)... Plus, he just has no edge to him. Physically and personality wise.
I have never seen this before - thanks for posting this! I love this kid's comment - "Matthrew Broderick is too white bread." Hey nice white pants kid :-)
Rachel as his sister and Angela Pattrelli from Heroes as his mom. If this show wasnt wrong enough already....im so glad i didnt know this existed before today. just wish i still didnt.
I saw several episodes of this show when it aired and used to make fun of the theme music. I heard it just now, today, literally decades later and it's worse than I remembered.
I’m 35, have watched the movie a million times yet have NEVER heard of this attempt at a “spin off” until 2022. Wtf. I am actually appalled and kinda angry lol How dare they open with cutting Matthew’s head off! So glad it didn’t last passed 1 season. None of the original writers. I may come back to this solely for roasting though.
Because it's a canadian production , that's why you never heard of it. And no, i am not canadian. Bet you're unaware of the live action Bill and Ted series
Sadly, I actually remember watching this show, although only vaguely. The guy playing Ferris went on to do Diagnosis Murder, and has a really, really extensive CV as a voice actor, playing Kick Buttowski in his animated show, and starring in games like Metal Gear Solid 3 and Injustice Gods Among Us as the Flash. He had a few flops along the way, tho. This show, and Police Academy: Mission to Moscow are the two big ones that stand out. But unlike Steve Guttenberg, he is still working to this day
I laughed at how horrible this show was. So many things wrong with this. 1. Matthew Broderick wasnt so much of a kiss ass. 2. The fact that he has a cardboard cutout of Matthew Broderick in his closet is extremely creepy. 3. Completely different attitude. This was show was just so bad it was funny.
A fake Ferris Buller trashing the REAL Ferris Buller. Broderick is still beloved to this day. While the TV version of Ferris would be ultimately be replaced on the NBC schedule by (of all things...) "Blossom"
I love how he opens up the picture of Sloan by repeatedly tapping the insert key. It is really sad that somewhere in my memory is the entire first episode to this show and that dated theme song to boot. I think it's mixed in the "Never gonna need this again" bin beneath a stack of Parker Lewis Can't Lose episodes that I also wasted my time on.
Word of advice for the producers of this show (even though they've probably already OD'd on coke or their own egos) Don't bash the movie that is 100% responsible for the existence of your show. Bueller 2016!!!!!
I need some help. There is this song they played whenever Sloane came out on the tv series. Well, not every time. It was her theme. If anyone knows the name of the song and the artist, I'd appreciate it.
With name recognition being what it is, it's surprising that this series didn't last longer than Parker Lewis Can't Lose. After all, Ferris Bueller was already a household name, whereas Parker Lewis wasn't. But Parker Lewis was just a better show at a time when I guess that quality actually meant something.
Unfortunately, this show was missing the one thing that it truly needed to even last a season: the approval of the late John Hughes. Needless to say, it didn't have it. I honestly wonder if this wasn't part of the reason Hughes stopped directing so early in his career. I mean, why would you want to put all your time and energy and passion into something that the Big Three will just rip off and demean?
In the 80s, if you had a catchy song and a peppy main character, your pilot would get a green light. It was sad, but it explains TGIF on ABC. And the "T-NBC" phenomenon.
i remember this show being on... i remember it not being that bad... i remember this is where jennifer A. got started... but i can't remember any episodes... today i was watching ellen and they said jen A. was '40'... so i wanted to see how old she was when on that show... which was 21. and still look'n great.
I had just randomly thought about this TV version of the classic flick. Not as great by comparison as many other here have pointed out. I just remember that this came on right after "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" on NBC when that first aired in the fall of 1990.
'I'm Ferris Bueller." Lemme stop ya right there...
Mom, can we have Ferris Bueller?
We have Ferris Bueller at home!
Ferris Bueller at home:
(Slide whistle) Ferris.....Bueller.......(Slide Whistle)
2:40 is the greatest thing ever.. It's like something out of South Park.
mpg272727 OMG It totally is
lmao legit does
"Hi Tom... "
HAHAHA Now I can only see Matt and Trey singing this as a joke.
FER-FER-FER-FER-FER-FER-FERRIS!
_BUELLER!_
Holy shit, it does sound like Trey Parker!
I think you are on go something, but South Parks parody would have still been better than this 😂
This is obviously not _Ferris Bueller_, but the prequel to _American Psycho_.

"She got a nose job." She did on Friends too.
“And a lot of people want to bang her”
@@James-if3kc this was post-nose job and pre-nose job. Between nose jobs
@@cactusfacemcgillicuddy LOL! I meant there was an episode of Friends where she got a nose job, I think.
Ah the 90s, so enamored with green screens and opening title sequence interaction
Ferris! Ferris! Beuller! B-B-Beuller! Ferris! B-Beuller! Beuller! F-F-Ferris! B-B-B-Beuller!
Poetry
Making the 90's look like total shit to the youngsters.
I like the elbow to the credits. That's showing the audience Ferris is a real "rad" "dude".
It all feels so, so wrong.
Why does this Ferris look 30 years old
steezmunky Because he was 24 playing a 17 year old.
Wow, they REALLY thought they were going to outdo the movie. 😂😂
Right it was so generic
that guy did a pretty decent Bueller impression. He's no Broderick, but he's the next best thing. His voice just has the perfect Ferris tonality to it.
He honestly captured it well
He's like a swap meet Alex Winter trying to be Matt Broderick lmao
I actually LOVED this show and was disappointed that it got cancelled.
I wonder what kind of drugs were slipped into my food back then.
The fact that he has a cardboard cutout of Matthew Broderick in his closet is very creepy
Feels like Clarissa Explains It All gone wrong.
that's a really good comparison!
Noah Knows Best is also a good example
This was overshadowed by Fox's _Parker Lewis Can't Lose_ - and he certainly couldn't...
They referenced it where a side character calls him Ferris Lewis. It got a laugh from me. Plus an episode titled Ferris Bueller Can't Win. I've wasted my life.
Gee... I SO miss brilliantly written theme songs such as this.
FFFFFFFF FERRIS
FERRIS
WOO WOO
This guy has no personality. Pretty ballsy saying Matt Broderick isn't the real Ferris Bueller...
A dark page of 90's history.
When he cut in half Matthew Broderick...i was screaming "Blasphemy!"
I’m planning to get a 2d cut of this Trash TV Ferris and then cut him the same way.
This is so so so bad.....I'm so glad they never made a sequel to the film because its one of those films that could be expanded but its perfect being a stand alone film. It just leaves you wanting another day off but your so very happy and glad that you at least had the day off in the first place :-)

Anyone else notice the shot at Jenifer Grey for her nose job?
I'm sorry, did he just take a saw to Ferris?!?!..I'm done after 60 seconds.

"He's too white bread" says the bag of flour
With maple syrup lmao. This is a canadian production, let's not forget.
It's like the guy stole Ferris Bueller's personality and made it lame.
agreed
"loves me like a rock..." Brilliant writing
I have to admit: it doesn't look so bad at first, until you see the rest and starta comparing it to the movie, which is obviously superior.
"This is television, this is real" LOL
A swap meet version of Alex Winter trying to be Matt Broderick lmao
OMG I worked on this show. I thought they burned all the copies!
lol
I have never seen this before - thanks for posting this!
I love this kid's comment - "Matthrew Broderick is too white bread." Hey nice white pants kid :-)
So...if Sloane is a new student at Ferris' school in the tv show then how do they explain that she was in the movie?
I’m miss the good old days. Those being 60 seconds ago before I never knew this existed.
Rachel as his sister and Angela Pattrelli from Heroes as his mom. If this show wasnt wrong enough already....im so glad i didnt know this existed before today. just wish i still didnt.
The chainsaw bit had to be the most traumatizing thing ever for Bueller fans.
Hahahaha! They had a lot of nerve to do that
I saw several episodes of this show when it aired and used to make fun of the theme music. I heard it just now, today, literally decades later and it's worse than I remembered.
0:48 When you realize you killed your past self:
Gotta say though; NO ONE can replace Matthew Broderick.
Theres a running joke that Broderick is a bad actor. But he's not terrible like this guy.
At least this Ferris didn’t kill someone’s in a car crash . There’s that , at least .
No wonder it got cancelled after 1 season...
This guy is goddamn cool in a goddamn awesome way that is hard to describe accurately with the English language
There is no way that 386 computer could have played a video clip...
He’s getting War Games level throughput on that thing.
Weird how they both sound alike
