Please, Contec need to create a way to export data to personalized analysis. Excel or pure text values.

Please can u help me? I have a ABPM50. After a normal programming for 24 hour monitoring the device does not work, both run and alarm lights keep blinking and the screen as well keeps blinking, but no automatic measures. I've done a test and for hours with it conect in the arms, no automatic measures and the screen and ligths keep blinking. But strangely, if i do a manual measure, the device works perfectly normal. What am i missing here? Does the device has a mal-function? Please i am desperate for some guidance.

Do not "Upload," do "download" instead. I know it's confusing and kind of backwards, but that is how you get the data from the device to the computer. If you have PDF Software on your computer this works best.

Since I bought this junk from Contach, this video is the perfect place to copy an earlier comment I made after trying to understand how the thing works.
This is a huge example of Chinese crap. The instruction book that comes with it is gibberish, the software and USB cable that it is supposed to come with it, didn't. I downloaded the software from the site given on the bottom of the lid and despite Windows best efforts to not let me install it - all sorts of warnings and outright refusal to install . . . but I did it somehow and it too is a half-baked POC. The USB connector on the bottom of the unit is NOT the normal USB mini that we expect these days. It's rather a "Mini B" which I happen to have, but the USB cable didn't come with it in any event and most people are going to be surprised when their USB cable doesn't fit the receptacle. And with the adamant refusal by Windows to let me install this software, I probably have loaded my machine with spyware and who knows what.
These things are all over eBay so clearly they're trying to unload their junk on us.
Most of the options on the menus don't work, or even make sense. For instance, just try and change the system time. It is set on Bejing time, I finally realized, There's no changing it. Many of the other option choices do not work and, get this . . . just try and turn it off! Once on, it won't turn off. The on/off switch doesn't work. The only way to turn the thing off is to pull the batteries.
I only paid $100 on eBay so in this case we really do get what we pay for. A well-made ambulatory BP monitor is probably several hundred dollars more - but I don't know that. I haven't looked yet, but I'm going to for sure. And this junk is going back to Contac, the Illinois seller.

I understand your frustration Mike. I'm not sure what you purchased on Ebay, so I cannot speak specifically to the device that you received. However, I would like to offer you some help to potentially, ease a little frustration and shed light, where Contec could have done a better job in doing so for its consumers.
Some things you mentioned.... Changing the System Time: First some basics. There are five buttons on the device that make the shape of a 5 on a die. Upper Left (- - - ), Upper Right ( - ), Middle button (pic of a document/OK), Lower left Red Circle/Pic of Document, Lower Right Hand button (Green Diamond w/1). The green button is the On-Demand button.
*Making Selections and Navigating the Device:* _Fundamentals to Know_
      1) This device communicates where you are on the screen by using a yellow border around its field options. The yellow borders says, "You are Here!" *NOTE:* Where you are will be denoted by a yellow border and the data within the field will be green. The other field options on the screen will have blue borders, while the data within those fields will be green.
      2) Once a menu option has been accessed, The Upper Left and Upper Right buttons are used to navigate the screen options by moving the cursor (yellow border) UP or DOWN the field options.
      3) The Middle Button is how selections are made. *NOTE:* When a field has been "selected" the border will turn RED, which identifies that the field is ready to be edited. *Reminder:* While in a selected field, this is when the Upper Left and Upper Right buttons would be used to scroll through the available options for that specific field.
*Turn the Device on:* Tap the bottom Left Button. *NOTE:* From the main screen you will see "Silence" "Menu" "Memory" - These options are accessed with the upper left, middle and upper right buttons respectively.
*Is your Device Set to English? If not: Go to System Set first* _Using the fundamentals I shared above to navigate the device, do the following_
From the main screen you will see "Silence" "Menu" "Memory" - Use the Middle Button to select the "MENU" > System Set > Language > Eng > Exit. If you need to change the unit to mmHg from KPa then do that too or vice versa. Measure Mode Options - ADU (Adult) NEO (Neonatal) PED (Pediatric). There are other options under this menu too that I won't go into now, since this comment is already pretty lengthy.
*Once you're functioning in ENG mode, then you can move on to "System Time"*
      *Changing System Time:*
From the Main Screen > Menu (Middle Button) > It will default to exit (remember: notice a yellow border around the word "exit" written in green). Tap the Right Upper Button ( - ) to navigate to "System Time" Option. The "Enter" Adjacent to System Time should now be bordered in yellow. Now Tap the MIDDLE BUTTON once, you will be taken to the Date and Time Screen and your cursor will be defaulted to the word "Cancel," which is denoted by a yellow border around the word "Cancel." Tap the Upper Right Button 1 time to move your cursor to the the first number for the date. If the month is correct, Repeat the action to move the cursor to the day, and so on. When you get to the time, same process. Once you get to a section that you need to modify/edit remember make sure the border for that option is yellow, then Tap the Middle Button to "Select." Again, you know which option is selected because the border will turn RED. Then use the Upper Left or Upper Right keys to move the numbers in the direction of choice (decreasing or increasing). Once it reflects the data that you want, Tap the Middle Button to lock it in. Once the Border is Yellow again, you can move to the next option. Once you are satisfied with your selections move your cursor to "SAVE" and Tap the Middle Button to Save Your Changes.
I hope this helps. I didn't want to write too much in the event that you no longer required feedback. Let me know if I can help with anything else. This device has been very helpful to me and the software is an excellent resource. Unfortunately, it's not very straightforward and can be cumbersome when unfamiliar. Let me know. Best of Health to You!

By the way, if you have a PDF Creator on your computer, once you understand how to create reports from the software, you can print your report data to a PDF and then export the PDF to Excel (at least that's my workaround).

@@Nabiyah1 Thanks. I've loaned it to someone (who also couldn't get it to work) but when I get it back I will go through your instructions above. Thanks for taking the time to include such detail.
