The state of the world we live in, along with the opportunistic thieves, or thieves in general really ruin it for everybody. But on the plus side, that's a stunning bike! This is one of the reasons I'll never buy a high value watch - for one I'm always scared of banging it on a door knob or something (a bit OCD when it comes to scratches), and two - I don't want to be sh*tting myself 24/7 who's checking out what's on my wrist, who's following me to see where I live, etc. We're not the 60s anymore - in this day and age, manufacturing is light years ahead and you can have a killer watch for £100-200 (example: the Suggess on your wrist). In fact, speaking of, I have the Suggess Panda that you also have, and actually you inspired me to buy that watch! I don't blame you for the decision at all, in fact I encourage you to sell them all. Video idea: show us which 1 or 2 watches you've decided to keep. I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing that!
My two high value ones are kept in a safe and insured separately. The rest are insured under the house insurance. I have bought and sold hundreds of watches, and sent them and received them by post, nationally and internationally. Never had a problem yet.
Awww man I am so sorry to hear the news fella I don't blame you making your decision with reference to watches I follow another watch fan called the London Watch collector who moved back to Dubai due to the watch theft situation here in the UK, Its sad to think that us collectors are now being targeted because of a hobby. Sorry to hear that mate. As you know, I am just up the road from you (Lee) and we had an attempt in August but I was there and switched the lights on and scared them off. We’ve already had an attempt on the car in 2022 in the early hours but the wife heard them and I called the police but they legged it. Nothing since but we are ultra cautious now.
Sometimes I'll be out and about and wonder what if all my watches were stolen? Sometimes I think hey I like this watch on my wrist and this actually simplifies my life. Of course at other times I think I'd be devastated. Sorry this happened to you, I hate thieves.

I'm sorry to hear this. This is one of my worst nightmares, coming home to find you've been robbed. The total violation, never ever able to feel safe again in your own home not to mention the loss of your valuable possessions. I hope they catch whoever did this but the odds are remote. Security cameras are a must. I hope you consider getting them. You will feel a lot better if you do.
Yeah, unfortunately cameras won't stop your home from being robbed but it can be a deterrent. At least it shows you who robbed your home and even though that may not lead to an arrest, in some weird way it at least gives me the satisfaction of knowing who they are in the rare chance that I see them in the future. Of course professionals will probably have their faces covered which will make it even more frustrating!
Sorry to hear that, it's strange I was only thinking last weekend you hadn't posted for ages. I was relieved to hear you're healthy and I like your bike 👍. Being burgled while you are away is horrible, but being mugged is potentially much worse. Sadly, I think you are doing the right thing selling, keeping such valuable watches at home isn't wise now you may have been targeted. Definitely don't fit a safe at home, because burglars threatening you to find it is a really bad scenario. I hope you still do some videos, I was generally more interested in the cheap watches and you were always entertaining 👍
My commiserations. As unsettling as this event has been don't let it spoil your hobby. It may take a while to digest this incident. Don't do anything rash but wait and see how you feel about it in a few months.
