Hell yea! Even without finding any bones or tusks, it’s an exciting historical moment that could turn up something great!

Your link to Rick's channel is broken, it links to yours. had to do a YT search. As a New Yorker both are great vids

If the tide was really kicking when they were dumped would the search area widen?

Keep thinking the same damn thing. There’s a reason people dump bodies in the river and when found they are well down the river

I think my folks have a mammoth tooth that my dad found in the 50’s in the badlands. Not sure if it is or not and his mind isn’t there anymore to get better details. Great video.

Just a quick question. Does vinegar beat anything else off? Seems to just burn like a mofo the more I rub it.

It might be a good idea to find a historian with knowledge regarding New York’s city infrastructure design to see if there were any alterations to street locations and street names.

I agree we where wondering how things may have changed since the time the bones were dumped and how that would affect where we look.

Pretty cool y’all went up there and did that. I was thinking about how much construction debris has been dumped into that river since the alledged mammoth material was deposited. Looks like a ton of concrete. Good luck in the summer 👍🏼

Next time! Judging by the construction debris there is some excavation to be done. Is anyone going back with a underwater sluice box like they use for gold mining?

Probably can’t dredge the east river without very special permitting. It’s an environmental concern above city property concern

1940s, in the decade. 1948 or later would've been onto a refuse barge at 65th St headed for Staten Island landfill.
