How to use fusible web for felt applique

I appreciate you taking the time to show us how to use fusible web on felt.
Question: do you wash the felt first?
and
Do we have to sew/stitch the pieces after we have fused them together?
I appreciate your help.

I don't wash the felt before fusing.
And as far as if you have to stitch afterwards, it depends on the fusible web you are using. Some of them are ' no sew' options, some of them are meant to hold your fabric in place to make sewing easier. (They also help prevent fraying when you wash, though not completely)
I've personally found that the new sew options tend to come undone over time, so I prefer to just stitch around each object. But others have had good luck with the no sew stuff, so they might know a secret that I don't!
