Great tour as always Kris, the Schefflera macrophylla, Jubaea and Agave bed are definitely my favourites!
Cheers, I think there my stand out plants at the moment as well. Come on summer!
@@YorkshireKRIS Definitely! ☀️🤞
🌻👨🌾🍅🥒🫑🥬🐝🐇🌼🌷☀️I’m back for another update of your beautiful garden. It’s amazing to see the changes in your plants over time. I love watching my garden grow a little each day, that is my favorite part of gardening. It’s so fun to have the growth documented over the season to look back at and see your progress. I love that about being a garden UA-camr. Let’s learn & grow more together!
Thank you. Brilliant to see your garden at this time of year. I keep making excuses for mine when people look round. I keep saying "no, come back in a month"
Me too!
I love your garden, Crinodendron is stunning
Gardens looking great again Kris, you have given me more ideas for my next plant. Thank you 👍
You've got an amazing garden!
I wish I had a bigger garden. I'm looking forward to the next video👍
Thanks Kris...
looks lovely thanks for sharing
Looking nice and lush with all the new and fresh growth
Thanks
Love the tour Kris.
Highlights
1. That stunning coconut-looking butia hybrid. Superb. Very exciting to see.
2. Musa Sikhamensis. My leaves look crap, very little redness. That colour on yours is fantastic.
3. Schefflera T looks superb with the new foliage emerging.
4. Macrophylla new foliage colour just amazing.
5. Princeps looks classy.
6. Jubaea is statuesque
7. The kentia is a classy touch. What do you do with this in winter?
8. Linearis and the silvery bour of the brahea armata.
Cheers for the cool tour👍
Your beautiful (and flowering) sarracenias didnt get a mention! :-((
Just planted my Ricinus yesterday in my front garden! Plus my bedding plants. One of my Banana plants isn't looking so great, the top is all brown but green lower down Do you think a bit of sun will help it? It's been in my basement and has only been out for 2 weeks. The other 3 are fine. Your garden is looking fabulous already 😍
Hi Kris
@ 9:00 'ish All that bare space with no plants and you don't want to show it?
All that space in my garden would be covered with weeds, (I'm sorry but I include persicaria in that statement)😫😟🥴
I'm envious🤢
You are so far ahead of us over here on Vancouver Island…we’re having such a rainy cool spring. Do you leave your aspidistra out over winter?
We've had a decent start to the growing season. Yes the Aspidistra stays out in all weathers.
@@YorkshireKRIS thanks, I might try it but first I’ll divide it as I’ve had it for over 30 years..we got pretty cold this past winter
@@lindadevuyst9311 It should do fine on Vancouver Island. Happy gardening
@ Kris, its the first time I've heard you mentioned planting dahlia trees. What's you experience with them?
They behave much like any other Dahlias and I leave it in the ground through winter.
I gather montbeliardi grow tall but are they UK hardy, and are the calla lilies UK hardy?
Not hardy, they need to be brought under cover over winter.
@@YorkshireKRIS thanks👍
How many years has the Gunnera been planted to get that size leaves?
It took a season but it was a division from a mature plant
@@YorkshireKRIS I can only dream of that size leaves, my soil is too dry
Looks amazing feller, I've got a long way to go to get anywhere near what you have 😳 my favourite plants so far are my Gunnera and Araucaria araucana but getting loads of inspiration off you and George's jungle garden 😁
Thanks Kris, love the tours as it gives us some great ideas and plants to source for our own young exotic garden .
Into June now and it’s…. 13 degrees centigrade, we had 13 degrees in February lol
Yes it's way too cold for my liking
Garden is looking really good thanks Kris been watching for a few years now what a transformation
Thank you. Lots of hard work but well worth it
Looks nice ,just need some sunshine it’s not so warm today in Cas Vegas.
Yes need some sun and warmth!
What was eating your loquat Chris? Something is having a good munch on mine. But can’t see any bugs on it. Anything you would recommend to stop it ? Thanks
Normal capsid bugs or caterpillars. Tiny holes when leaves are developing look huge when leaves grow larger
Thanks Kris yes it was on the newer leaves. Only got it last year planted last august. Was excited to see lots of lush growth in spring but then they were full of holes. It doesn’t seem to be getting any worse so hopefully they have hatched and moved on.
Hi Kris, all looks amazing. We just planted out several Ricinus plants, the green one's don't seem to do so well on our sandy soil compared to the red. Have you any idea when your garden will be open for visits? Cheers
Hi there. My garden will be often 13th 14th August in the afternoons.
Thanks Kris, are you on the NGS site?
Does your kantia palm stay out over winter?
No, the Kentia palms come in for winter
how does your cyathea.cooperi behave ?
Deciduous here and needs winter protection to survive
