I think the whole princess diana death and the aftermath will be only in part 1,because i think there is a few important thing that happen in the royal family after princess diana but before the queen death like the death of both the queen mother and sister,the wedding of prince Charles and carmilla and last the queen golden jubilee(celebration for the queen 50th years in the throne)

Yes, Diana's death will be in part 1. A scene in the trailer shows the funeral of Dodi Al Fayed, and his father was crying.
