Wow! What a find. I stumbled upon this video in my feed as the UA-cam algorithm has picked up on my recent frequent searches for Sony Trinitron content. I’m jealous. I would love to get my hands on a NOS Trinitron. Maybe I’ll happen upon one like you someday. Hopefully sooner than later.
Fingers crossed for you mate 🤞 It was fun to unbox and share the experience as I know not everyone's going to come across NOS Trinitrons - some people struggle to even find used ones so I feel blessed 🥹
Harold the Life Education Puppet is the most Australian thing I've heard today 😂 nice CRT man, hard to beat a Sony. My mom's first NEW and not pre owned TV was a 1998 32in Trinitron WEGA with the Flat tube. She still has it in her bedroom, hooked up to the wall with analog cable that doesn't work anymore sadly.
There was nothing more rad as a kid in the 90s to go to the dark, airconditioned life ed van in the middle of summer to press light up buttons on a mannequin torso and listen to a giraffe talk about how to brush your teeth properly 😂 Even though I do prefer curved Trinitrons, I would have only dreamed of a 32" flat screen Wega in 1998. I bet that weighs a tonne too lol.
@@fredsk1 to be honest I don’t remember, it appeared much bigger than the one in the video but you know tvs were at completely different scale those days
Amazing video mate, you’re so lucky to have found this absolute masterpiece! Upload another video with some gameplay on sega or Nintendo? Would love to see some footage of it in proper action!
Thanks legend - yeah that's not a bad idea actually. I have some repair projects on at the moment but at some point I'll hook a console up to it and try some games :)
Drool! Just a fan of CRT's dropping a comment to show my appreciation of the TV, and your time in filming and uploading. Now get some OG NES Zelda rocking on it!
Thanks for the kind comment I really appreciate that. One thing I need to sort out is a decent emulation solution which has composite as my RGP-Pi setup is SCART only... maybe I can get a cheap SCART to composite converter 🤔
The CD player they bought with it was (weirdly) a flagship model, which looks great. I suppose someone may have bought it for themselves, through the business at a discount.
Yeah I looked it up after and it was a nice one! From the ES line. Actually, I'm pretty sure the lady who sold me this TV also sold two of those ES line CD players in their original boxes too, so I guess they also went unused for decades.
@@fredsk1 How strange to spend so much, then never use or sell them. A nice little boost for someone when they finally sold them though I guess. I'd imagine the CD players got a very high price.
@@DoubleMonoLR my thoughts exactly. So it leads to a lot of places adopting a "use it or lose it" policy.
@@Ctrl-XYZ haha yeah you're right. I think I was mentally confused a bit as I read 1991 on the box earlier but even still, math was never my strong suit
this was my childhood tv, cool!
I love the style of that set man! I swear my grandma had one like that. So cool ty! 🤘📺
Thanks brother - me too! I think I like all Trinitron sets that have the carry handles on the sides :D

I wondered who ended up scoring this listing thanks so much for sharing :)
Thanks for watching mate. She had some really cool stuff there... I think even a Nakamichi Dragon boxed.
My parents bought this exact tv but larger when I was a kid. Amazing machine!
That's awesome. Did you have the 21-inch version which is listed at the end of the manual?

Um, 1989 was 36 years ago. Is math different in Australia?

Never to be used again. 😅
I am so torn about it. On one hand it seems bad to use it but on the other hand it seems equally bad to not use it 😭
I'd be interested in knowing whether the batteries to the remote would still work! Amazing find!! 😊CHEERS!😊
I'm curious as well. I guess they would be dead as it's been so long but you never know!
