Nice
I wanna see the test drive movies of the Mini please.
The huge attraction of the classic Mini is the minimalist functional design, free of pointless, expensive, unreliable electronics which cannot be fixed at the side of the road. Why would you want to corrupt that with electronics? Madness.
The idea that modern vehicle electronics are "corruption" is a notion I completely disagree with. These modern tools like ECU's, electronic throttle bodies, idle control, and more are just more ways to expand the car world we all love already. Having a car that runs perfectly every startup and pulls all the power out of every cell of the rpm and pressure band makes these cars even more fun.
@ fair enough, we’ll just have to disagree. Why do you bother with classic Minis then?
Because it makes it better and more reliable.
@willgrime no, the huge attraction for YOU is minimalist function. I have 2 minis and both are efi, I love that they're modern. One even has cruise control.
Is this your first time learning that people have different preferences for their own cars and the mods they like? Minis in particular - head to a Mini meet and see the glorious array of customisations alongside wonderful concourse original examples. Customising Minis was part of their fabric from the time they were first made. (I have two Minis - one that visually looks straight from 1960s with period looking mods albeit hiding a sleeper supercharged A series engine; and one that makes no attempt at originality visually).
