So I've only seen one video about this situation, and I briefly went over it in my review video for my altis. This may be a common occurrence for this bike for the upcoming future unless they can come up with a better routing system for the wires. Their positioning is pretty tight. It wouldn't surprise me if simply turning it dislodges one or some of the wires connected to the LCD. I was thinking about rerouting everything. Cutting the zip tie should help out, but if you're able to, see where the connection lies and try to add something like heat shrink on the connection port for extra support. I still need to tear them on apart and look at it, but I haven't had issues yet
I re routed cables and supported them better, however my lcd display is malfunctioning. I’m waiting on a new one from altis and some plug to flash the battery bms.
I'll say this : ALL brand new 1st editions of vehicles have problems. There is always bugs to work out of a brand new machine. This is even more so true with cars. I have worked for Lexus and I have worked for Honda as well,, All of their all new editions of vehicles had a bunch of stupid issues. It's the nature of the beast. You got to wait till things get recalled and updated to end up with a machine that is problem free.
Not surprised. First generation is bound ti have issues. Just sucks for you putting that kind of money and already. Hopefully it gets resolved and the company works with you to get it under warranty in a timely manner.
I am guessing the crazy birds nest of wiring in the front isn't really secure and I am noticing you have a bundle of wire hanging from BOTH the right and left sides of the bike and that is the first time I have seen that on UA-cam with anyone's ride. the bigger question for me is, why do you have the number 38 taped over the key hole cover like a rental bike? LMAO How can your bike look 2 years old and you just got it? just saying. What's next to fix everything?
Well phill. The crazy birds best of wiring was held together with 3 zip ties which we cut and replaced loosely per recommendation of the manufacturer because the lcd display isn’t working. Second the sticker over the key cover was on there when we had the bike shipped to us . There is a sticker on the key that matches as well. Thirdly, altis is sending me a new display , and something to plug into the bike to flash the controller. Last but not least the bike is dirty because I reviewed it hitting jumps in an extremely dry and barren desert.
i might not buy an altis after watching this. its worth 3k and they sell it for 6k to begin with and also has electric problems... i might buy stark varg
@@BloodOnMars It could be worth it when the second gen comes out. Much like the e ride when they came out with the e ride pro ss 2.0 after like 2 months
Haha, yeah there's a bunch of videos out talking about you need to clip the zip tie to give it some extra length I'm sure it will be updated on the next version
I wouldn’t say the bike is a let down. It’s very comfortable and fun. However, when buying this bike just know it’s not as bulletproofed as altis originally claimed. There is definitely a major issue with the wiring, and a minor issue with the controller. If you plan to mod the bike, I’d say buy it. If you aren’t familiar with e bikes and how to work on them maybe wait for the next version.
@@Razorcrew_Cole after you clip the zip tie the wires dangle and bunch up when you turn. If they don’t make an aftermarket harness that is longer, in the future I will splice it myself and rout the cables in its original position.
@WiredDirt lol I see tons of people happy with no issues there's always going to be one or two in the batch that have problems unfortunately you got one
@WiredDirt I can design a harness a manufacture tons of harnesses for DIY e-bike so if they don't maybe I will. Definitely a drag Will see what mine does in a week or two when it's here. I see tons of people with no issues. Definitely a bummer though man! Fail on there part
Love my bike, no issues here I unplugged those 2 harness wire clips.
@@TheTexasDuke happy for you !

@WiredDirt definitely keep us posted! Hoping I don't have that issue, but it's definitely a possibility
