I am clearing out my emails today. I had saved this interview, not knowing what a delightful surprise awaited me. I found the interview fascinating on so many levels. I cried when he talked about his grandmother and was blown away by his powerful yet oh so humble interactions with God. He is indeed a man of faith! What a witness to God's mercy and love! Thank you for this surprise!

Clay’s comment about the life in a song played/heard on the radio vs. on a steaming service really resonated with me in the form of a riddle. I realized how true it was about that vitality- but I’m not sure why it’s true. There is a subtle flat lifeless aspect about the music on a streaming service. I remember Ozzy Osbourne talking about the same thing about vinyl vs CDs a long time ago.
So true. Something has been gained but something has been lost.

WOW...Clay I've never seen you in concert when you've performed at the HLSR (Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo) but believe me...I will make plans to attend. I'm not good at musicians name much less names of songs... not sure why it's so hard for me to remember who's who. You talking about your grandmother made me remember and think about my own grandmother (rip)... this interview was so inspirational...Matthew THANK YOU, THANK YOU... for this beautiful interview. I really love Clay Walker as a musician and I am very surprised to see him interviewed by Matthew Kelly! I never knew much about his personal life, just played his songs since I was younger in my rodeo days. Beautiful interview, love this

I have been a fan since the 90's and have a newfound respect for this man and what he is and stands for. Truly enjoyed the history and the stories. Fantastic interview!
What an amazing interview! Thank you so much Matthew and Clay! It leaves no question why God left Clay on earth when he was diagnosed with MS!! Tears and Laughter here, so inspirational and informative! Loved hearing stories about he and his family and him and the band, I hadn't heard or seen. How he feels about his family and others: what an example! His story of waiting on God's voice! What a humble proud moment with his son and his faith. I don't usually follow entertainers, but did start following Clay after hearing him sing with that amazing gifted voice, listening to his interviews and researching and reading all I could find on him. Very gripping and interesting interview!

This was such a wonderful interview. Truly a pleasure learning more about Clay Walker and watching the two of you interact.
I have been a Clay Walker fan since the 90's. I love the authenticity and fun in his songs. This interview really gave me a "sneak peak" of the man behind the music. The MS story and his strength in his faith in God literally brought tears to my eyes. His relationship with God is amazing. Him giving the gift to others about MS is following God. This interview gave me chill bumps.

Beautiful and touching interview. Being from Southeast Texas and experiencing Clay Walker’s music in hometown venues in the early 90’s was amazing. I’m not a huge country music fan, but this interview intrigued me to want to know more about the personal life and beliefs of Clay Walker. Outstanding interview. I laughed and cried. Merle Haggard was a good C&W singer....but Marty Robbins was a great C&W singer. He and Randy Travis are in a different league - Patsy Cline as well.
He had a couple good songs but was a long way off from being a legend
