The left lane was going straight, the middle lane was a turning and straight lane, so she could go right using that lane. Ideally, she wanted her in the right lane.
For any students reading this as soon as the instructor gives you a left or right direction be prepared to get into a different Lane depending on the road markings mirror check signal all the rest of it
And if you don't do this properly in a test, depending on the type of turning and how you handle it, it could be seen as a serious fault... Lane discipline and changing on time according to the road markings are super important... keep practicing in the test area/test routes so you get really familiar
For a month or so before I took my test, my parents would just talk aloud what to look at and what to think when driving. For this period, I was able to get a great understandng of where to position the car and how to anticipate other drivers. Very useful to build confidence before getting a licence and the first lesson. Would recommend doing this with any new drivers.
@@udaykiran-zb2cd At the junction, there are two lanes for turning right and two for exiting. It is important to maintain your lane in junctions like these. There's likely another junction coming up where the blue car needs to be in the right lane so they are just positioning early.
I already do this with my daughter, who is only 11. When she sits in the front, I declare her my co-pilot and she has to make me aware of dangers around us (don't worry, I still look out for everything myself, but I want to make her aware of the surroundings and rules in traffic early on)
It is very true what they say: first you learn how to pass the test. Then you learn how to drive. What I mean is that learning to drive from scratch, you have an awful lot of information you need to process constantly, including stuff that should be automatic. Once you’ve got your license and you’ve driven for a few months, you’ll be amazed how much stuff you don’t even need to think about anymore, because your subconscious does it for you. Routine comes with time. Sure, Erin’s mistake might seem trivial for us, but we all started somewhere, and I doubt many of these commenters were much different when they were learning to drive. It’s easy to criticise watching a video when there is nothing you need to pay attention to. Hell, even I make this kind of mistake sometimes when the markings are not clear, the sign is missing, or I’m in a completely unfamiliar location with busy traffic. And actually, I’ve been thinking this for a while, but I’m gonna say it now: watching Erin, I now have no doubt she will be an excellent driver. Why? Because she makes mistakes. And that’s how you learn. You do everything right the first time, you won’t learn anything. But making mistakes and learning from them also teaches you probably the most important thing: learning how to correct those mistakes when they happen. Because they will happen.
Love your videos, Aman. ❤ Thank you so much for the effort you invest into them. 😊 Question: If you are waiting in the middle and it is clear, can you turn BEFORE the green turn arrow lights up???
She is so cute, I hope you can film more shorts with her until pass the test. My 3rd test will be on this Friday morning, I must be confident to pass ❤
While learning to drive in the US was easy to understand, coming over to the UK to drive without studying any of the signs or lines was a bit of a change. The biggest change being roundabouts and stop lights 😅 I feel like roundabouts are simple enough but the signaling was the hardest part (probably because y'all's lines are usually faded or non-existent 😅) because you only signal right if there's 2 lanes or more and you're not taking the first exit, and you only signal left (aside from exiting) if you're entering to turn off the first exit. I'm confident with roundabouts now but I'm still learning signs and lines. Our stoplights are on the opposite side of the intersection hanging in the middle of the lane(s) but yours are generally on both sides or the left. I got a bit confused a couple times when the right signal was red but everyone started moving and I realized it was the left signal that applied to me and the right was for the traffic turning right 😅 I've only driven a couple thousand miles in the UK so far but I feel confident enough, though I think a couple lessons wouldn't be a bad idea.

Bad instructor imo. She should of stated we need to look to enter the middle lane when we can because we are turning right on the next set of traffic lights. This is clear direction. Saying we are turning right at the traffic lights confuses a new driver as they know the end goal is right at the traffic lights but are not sure of what the next step is towards this goal.
