At least back then they had an excuse. They didn't have landfills back in the old days. But people are still throwing their trash in the water now days which is disgusting behavior
That is a gravitating stopper bottle. Albert Albertson designed this closure that was patented Oct. 11, 1864 known as the Gravitating Stopper. It became very popular across the U.S. after Albertson sold the rights to John Matthews of New York. It a 2" long glass stopper with a rubber gasket on the end that automatically seated itself after the bottle was filled in an inverted position. It did not require a separate opener and the user could drink from the bottle when it was open because the closure sank to the bottom. It also had the advantage of being captive inside the bottle at all times the like the marble in a Codd bottle. Mathews sold it as a system with equipment that filled the bottle in the upside down position.
An idea for repurposing those old bottle tops… level off the broken part, mount on something and set up as candle holders… vary the sizes and heights for interest!
Just found your channel and I am happy that I did. I loved exploring and digging for stuff. There is a drainage ditch (I called it a creek) that ran behind my house. For years I would walk along it and find my treasures. Last year the area was rezoned and a new subdivision is being built. The woods and the "creek" have been destroyed. It hurt my heart to hear the birds scream when the big dozers came in and started knocking down the beautiful trees. I felt like a wuss when I went inside to cry because there was nothing I could do and I couldn't take the sound of the birds crying. Anyway, thanks for inspiring me to go back out to explore for others trash to call my treasures. P. S. A silver lining, I have chickens and I have been throwing extra feed because those wild birds now make homes in my trees.
You should get into bottle cutting when the top is broken it could still make an awesome drinking glass or vase so are so beautiful that the top is broken on
Kyle, I think the bottle at 24:42 had marble #4 and possibly #5 by it to the top left. Looked like a small blue marble and possibly a greenish shooter??
Ahhh Kyle, you are so lucky to live in an area with so many amazing treasures. You can save even the broken embossed flat rectangle bottles, cut out the label side and use to make all kinds of interesting stuff! You really inspire me, I can't wait to see what you find next...
Wow! Kots if good finds! And leave it to you to find the haunted doll of the creek! That looked seriously demonic! But the bottles were awesome! Finds! Thanks for taking us along on your creek walk! Awesome day Kyle!
I believe the long glass thing you found is one piece of a crystal chandelier. The crystal would have had a metal binder with a short wire that attaches so it can hang from the fixture.
WHAT A SCORE on the Thomasville amber bottle! It's epic it was in perfect condition! Your begging worked! Sometimes even a squirrel gets a nut! Yeah, no touchy the nope ropes in the water, ew. Is that some kind of wine stopper maybe?? It was a stopper, HOW COOL! A gravitational stopper, hmmmm, interesting. I honestly thought those Hutch bottles were brown in color, I had NO CLUE they were see through! I need to see MORE of your amazing finds cleaned up PLEASE!
21:29 this is reminiscent of a Ramune bottle! Which is a Japanese soda brand. They have a glass marble inside to stop the flow if it’s turned too far upside down. That bottle is amazing.
You never fail to inspire me to get out there. From fossils to relics, crystals to swamp critters! Always an adventure. You have an amazing haunting quality to your singing voice too. Just beautiful!😊
I needed a good laugh today! Terrifying little doll! I found an old dump in my yard near Penn State. Found a Chamberlain's Pain Balm (stopper and medicine inside), a blue poison bottle (poison and stopper inside), and a State College Creamery milk bottle (precursor to the Penn State Creamery). Too cool!
Great finds Kyle ! The creepy dolls seem to always find you. At least you saved Spiderman. Never seen that graduation stopper before. Congratulations on finding that hutch too. Take care & best regards always !
What a hunt! Congrats on some beautiful bottles! I'll tell ya something dear Kyle, you'll have the best Halloween display on the block! Put some crazy lights in or on the dolls and woowee, you'll creep me out for sure, lol! Have a wonderful week Kyle! The song is a wowser too!
I dont know why youtube didnt let me know you had a new video out , its funny you found most of a truck I just found an Oldsmobile today fossil hunting , but had no tires , so if you could save those for me till I get down next time we can go cruising in my creek mobile. Super nice Hutch bottle , you have really got me into looking for old glass bottles I used to just pass them over.
Wow!!! Just wow!! I am still waiting on you to make a trip back to where you found all that old glass beside the creek. Love your content creepy dolls and all!!!
That gravitational bottle, the rubber piece went on one end of the glass stopper and I bet there was a syringe, maybe glass, that went to the end of the bottle. Like a big dropper!
Mason jar inserts are in some demand. Once you started finding marbles, i knew a creepy doll would pop up....could hold a lot of marbles. Neat chandelier prism, true relics (record player), spiderman doing his plastic man impression. More than usual I think: tetanus shot. That parfay bott might make a good mug. Great finds, love the creek hunts...
Love your videos I also hunt for bottles behind my moms house . Previous owners dumped behind her house. I just found a tiny doll leg yesterday. That crystal you found isn't for wind chimes it's for a chandelier my mom has one with those crystals. Also the small records are 45 rpm records.
You have inspired me to start my own collection! Although most of my bottles are from the 30s-70s, I still enjoy collecting them. Thank you so much man, you’re my favorite UA-camr!
Those were some great finds man. You mentioned milk bottles, I actually just found my first milk bottle , it was just inside a culvert that spills into a creek near my daughters dentist office. I couldn't believe when I saw it just sitting there, it was a half pint and embossed from Raleigh, N.C.
Please put a black light on those marbles. I'm sure some of them have uranium which glows brightly. It would make a cool display. I'd love to see them glowing.
Hey man great videos, I know you and paleochris love sharks teath, there is a place on a large hill, just south of Montgomery Al. There are strange looking sharks teeth all over. Used to pick them up when I was a kid. I've never seen sharks teeth like them anywhere else and there a lot still in the matrix rock. All on a hill with evergreen trees. Off 331 just past sellers Alabama.
Sure would be fun to hang with a fellow bottle and fossil guy. You, sir, are the definition of a Renaissance man. Not your typical paleolarker nerd...like me.
the marble in the bottle would be a stopper to the bottle. like codd bottles. look up Hyram Codd from the UK and it is the story of how the codd bottle was invented.
Andy and I have been cleaning the streets around our new 93 year old house in West Scranton Pa and he found a bottle with 2 four inch dolls in it. They are creepy identical twin dolls.
The marbles are really fun to find! how old do you think those are? I appreciated learning about how to identify the age of the bottles by the seam length also, it's nice to know what to look for! Thanks Kyle!
Imagine if we lived in a world where people were responsible for cleaning up their messes near and in our waters.
At least back then they had an excuse. They didn't have landfills back in the old days.
But people are still throwing their trash in the water now days which is disgusting behavior
@ Overseas in other countries it’s so much worse what’s going on. Humanity just ruins everything is all I can say.

This is so, so sad! For the birds, wild life and the people like you who enjoy being in special places like that.
I have a huge bottle collection, but I don't have a hutch. One day maybe. Loved the video and the song!
You should get into bottle cutting when the top is broken it could still make an awesome drinking glass or vase so are so beautiful that the top is broken on
The crystal looking piece likely came off a chandelier or lamp shade
Kyle, I think the bottle at 24:42 had marble #4 and possibly #5 by it to the top left. Looked like a small blue marble and possibly a greenish shooter??
21:28 is a codd bottle with a glass stopper
In England we have a cod bottle similar to the marble bottle. Kids used to break them to get the marble out to play with.

Concur with RobbieBobbie, the bottle at 21:06 has a gravitating stopper. Super cool find man!
I believe the long glass thing you found is one piece of a crystal chandelier. The crystal would have had a metal binder with a short wire that attaches so it can hang from the fixture.

That gravitational bottle, the rubber piece went on one end of the glass stopper and I bet there was a syringe, maybe glass, that went to the end of the bottle. Like a big dropper!

Loved the whole adventure
Is that a blue and white marble by the leaf upper left corner at 24:35?
Sure would be fun to hang with a fellow bottle and fossil guy. You, sir, are the definition of a Renaissance man. Not your typical paleolarker nerd...like me.
Check out cod-marble bottles made in England. Those marbles and bottle stop may have been meant to be there. Yours are American made. What fun!!
You certainly have a knack for broken bottles. 😂. This was a dump site at one time.
oh yeah it's normal to find 100 broken bottles for every not broken one 😂
Thanks for the adventure, good sir.
Just fyi, there was no suggested video when you were pointing at the end. For me anyway.
Hey ,nice finds
Also love all your adventure ❤
You seem to find bottles from time to time that comes from Columbus Georgia. I was born in that county.
Would love to see the Milk Glass piece cleaned up that you found .Do you have a site that we can view the pieces Kyle?
The first ceramic lid you found was to a butter dish.
The crystal you found was to a lamp or a chandelier
Went to Hogg mine this past Saturday and saw a guy who looked like you! I probably looked like a crazy person trying to figure out if it was XD
11:47 it's part of a chandelier
would love to find an old bottle dump to take my kids to. i live in GA i just gotta find out where to go
3:45 or Old Gregg will appear. LOL
7:28 Mercedes xD not Mitsubishi although I can abstractly understand where you got it from 😂😂😂
Kudos sir
Awesome 🫢😘

Andy and I have been cleaning the streets around our new 93 year old house in West Scranton Pa and he found a bottle with 2 four inch dolls in it. They are creepy identical twin dolls.
That wind chime piece was part of a chandalier or curtain cord end piece.
The marbles are really fun to find! how old do you think those are? I appreciated learning about how to identify the age of the bottles by the seam length also, it's nice to know what to look for! Thanks Kyle!
Those marbles are probably anywhere from the 1930's to 1960's I would think!
Wish you showed more of your finds cleaned up
Just found your channel and this dig, but where are you?? Sure would like to know.
X-mas tree decoration. My grandmother had them..
I was under the impression that the isolated stylid meant that it was a bison tooth instead of cow. The snake was an oak snake.
Looks like a crystal to a chandelier at 11:38
How do you get them so perfectly clean. Also have you ever damaged a find cleaning them? I love your channel. Very inspiring 😚🤌
