@autumn bates can you give us dairy free peeps some subs please for cheese and Greek yogurt ? Olives make me sick and I don’t have enough self control with nuts Lol I love my low carb diet but I think im not getting enough fat to fill that hunger void so I’d love other options
Your the best! Thank you!
Thanks because she talks way too much
ANYONE WHO HAS THYROID DISEASE, " UNDER ACTIVE THYROID " I lost 24 lbs using the 20/4 method of intermittent fasting along with drinking a gallon of water a day and eating clean. Salmon, boneless skinless chicken breast, and greens. I lost it all in 6 weeks!
Have you kept the weight off?
@@SheShanb Yes I have kept it off! And I weigh 119 now! That is where my body settled.
@@tonyalynne3380 congrats.
So do you eat 1200 calories within that 4 hour window
Thats exactly what Ive been doing for almost 3 wks. Ive lost about 9 pounds so far:) going to continue it for about 4 more months.I'm proud of you♡ health & happiness!
I've listened to 3 doctors here on UA-cam and Amber is saying the exact same thing. I've lost 40lbs since December 29th 2021 with a combination of Keto, Carnivore. I learned about fasting because in February I got worried about not being hungry and eating once a day. Once I learned fasting was not only healthy but natural. I now eat once every other day and only when I'm hungry. I started running again (not very far) walking a couple of miles and lifting a bag of chains. I'm a truck driver, over the road. Now the benefits of doing what she says. I was on lisinpril 2 glipizide and 2 metaformin a day, I don't take any thing. Blood sugar went down from 300 to 120‐93 with no medication. Blood pressure 140/97 to 110/79. Erectile dysfunction gone. That's the big one for me no pun intended. Oh, and I get new clothes. My journey is not over but I started at 304lbs and I'm down to 264. I still got 40 to 60lbs to go. So if you share in my health problems, I suggest to listen to her and try the 2 diets or a combination of both for a bit, then start fasting as your hunger leaves your body. Good luck and may you be blessed in all your endeavors.
Hey its been 2 months how's it going?
@@minor101 thank you for the interest. Down to 248. I cheated and ate cheesecake. My blood sugar did spike to 212. However that was a pound of cheesecake. Lol. My blood sugar jumps to 175 when I eat a slice. I cheat once every 6 weeks. It stops the plateau. So every thing is going to plan. Almost off the cpap too. Thank you again for asking.
@@scottmyers5828 can you say more about how your cheat meal stops your plateau? Thanks.
@@insider235 I am not sure about the science of it. I got the advice from a Manager at a loves truck stop. He had been on keto for 1 year and noticed when he hit a plateau he would go off of his diet for a few days then get right back on it. He claims to be down 150lbs. He started over 400 lbs down in the 250s . The break seems to work for us both. The little things I've noticed like exercise and fasting help out as well. Lastly my testosterone has come up from the fasting according to my doctor. That helps tremendously with all things. I am down to 225. That's 79lbs since Dec 29th now here in the second week of August. However I did cheat in July on my vacation for a solid 2 weeks. Been rough fasting and being as disciplined as I was. Good news I didn't gain any weight with all the hiking and other things my wife of 30 years likes to do. Good luck JT and do what works for you.
@@scottmyers5828 thanks for your reply. I understand better now! I wish you continued success.
I cannot say enough how happy I am to find this channel... It has completely changed my health ....physical and mental. At 55 I was basically told move more eat less and menopause body is just what happens .... NO FREAKIN WAY!! Why my primary or OBGYN has NEVER suggested I consult with a nutritionist is beyond me?!?! I ate steel oats in the morning WRONG ... whole wheat or that nasty keto bread with turkey WRONG ... low fat everything WRONG and the weight kept creeping up... spending 2 hours a day working out or running 2 miles a day stressing my body out WRONG . Anyone about to follow Autumn and fasting (I do the 14:10) with insulin resistance eating you have to give it at least 6 weeks to see the difference ... I felt better after about 10 days now going into my 3rd month I walk 4 miles a day broken up into intervals and now down 10 lbs .. this is a lifestyle you can keep and if you have a "treat" day it does not defeat your work at better heath .... THANK YOU AUTUMN !!!!
How you lead from one video to the next is amazing. I’ve never clicked so many suggested videos ever!
I love your weight loss advice! Your tips/suggestions are helping me so much!! Thank you!!
I'm diabetic type 1 and i'm looking to lose fat and gain muscle and your videos have been so incredibly useful! Thanks!
Autumn Bates..where have you been all my life ? ...concise and right to the point ! Love Ya !
Hey Autumn! New subscriber here 😊 I am not a first time IF-er but I am not all that educated in the science of it. I love your videos and how you explain literally everything you're talking about! I am starting my journey again after having my second and final child.
As a type 1 diabetic, I just wanted to comment on the idea that higher levels of insulin in the body lead to weight gain. I have experienced this first hand! Anytime, for any reason, I need to increase my insulin significantly (usually due to pregnancy or falling into poor eating habits), I notice immediate weight gain! It's honestly unbelievable. 15lbs within a few days. It can be pretty disheartening but also motivating to change my eating habits and lower how much insulin I require. Thanks for such informative videos!
I absolutely love your videos concise informative direct to the point ....great job looking forward to so many more🌸✨
LOVE the way you break down EVERYTHING! You are the best. Very helpful info 😇
Love that you talk fast and get to the point. Subscribed!
I LOVE your explanation of the WHYS!! I’ve learned so much from your videos. Thank you SO MUCH for educating us on what we need to do. I’m diabetic, eating vegan, and now vegan/keto. Not easy! It wasn’t until I added more fats and protein in that my blood sugars have stabilized (from 267 to 124 fasting in about 6 weeks!) Partly due to your breakfast smoothies, which keep me full and keep blood sugar steady. I wish I could afford your bundle, but we are living on 1/3 of what we used to.😔 Do you ever offer sales on your bundle? I would love to purchase. Thanks again for all you are doing. 💖
Thank you for your energy and your passion.
That was an extra good and helpful video. Thank you.
That breakiboiwl recipe is one of my favorite things. I add lemon juice and zest to the chia pudding and have a small serving for dessert
Awesome information! Thanks so much.
Autumn knows so much about nutrition she has become my health dictionary!
Love love love the breakdown rather than you just telling us
I just love how you explain things to us. I most certainly can understand and stay on track
You explain things so well!
Hey, I have just subscribed. I love your excellent foundation of knowledge coupled with really great explanations. Your an excellent teacher. I'm watching and learning. 👍
Just found your channel!! Loving it!! You are one smart cookie!!
Your channel is such a gem💎 I love having the science behind how to eat and when to eat, it’s the greatest motivation.
Really good advice,Subbed,Thanks.
Hi, Amber great videos I watched several today and I have found them very informative. I personally like how fast you talk. By talking fast you give me the most information in the least amount of time. By the way, one food that you have not mentioned that has about an 0 glycemic index is canned fish. Sardines, and kipper snacks have a lot of nutritional value
Brilliant this video was really helpful 👍🏻
I love how fast you talk. It’s GREAT
Pepitas (dried pumpkin seeds) - high protein/fat content, 1g carbs per 10g of seeds. Throw them on a salad for flavour and crunch.
I mix them with sunflower seeds ( high in vit a) as a side dish.
Okay, you know your stuff! This is just what I needed to curb my hunger while I’m trying to lose weight. 👍🏻
Thank you for what you do to educate us.
Thanks for the great info. You really know your stuff and make it interesting. I love your name Autumn.

Great video right as many are giving bad habits up for Lent!
Yay!!! I found another UA-cam nutrition nerd (I mean that in a good way) that really understands what is going on. I thought I found them all already ... I am adding you to my collection. Now I have hours of new material to binge watch.
Hi!!! Welcome to the AENpeeps!!🤓❤️

Hey Autumn, which protein powders do you recommend that are low carb and won’t cause insulin spikes?
Best health and nutrition channel.
Always a pleasure to watch

Thank God for channels like this.
Thanks. You’re awesome!
My super smoothie is: cup of half and half with selection of nuts blended, add half ovacado and as many blueberries until blender stops. To die for. I do 18 hour fasting daily.
Love your videos. Thank you.
I LOVE butcher box!!! Been using them for years!
I’m late seeing this but I love this channel so much. Recently I’m trying to replace tortilla chips with sliced raw peppers and carrots to dip in things like hummus etc because I like the crunch of them but it’s so much less calories than chips
Really informative 👌🏻

All condensed to often 10m (cause who has time). I listen to you on my pre workout warm up. LOVE!!! If anyone has any interest in fitness it it necessary to be a student of your sport that’s what I feel I am. You have a new student and a new subie!! 💕
Because of the insulin issue I'd always recommend intermittent fasting, particularly the warrior diet
question, how do people have insulin issue? were they born with it?
@@travisli-rufus1949 No, I meant the issue that insulin temporarily stops the process of fat burning
@@travisli-rufus1949 I don't know for certain, but I think certain people develop it from lifestyle choices, as in eating too frequently and too high carbs/sugars for those meals, basically overstimulating insulin production.
I'm unsure whether the body will then learn to ignore the insulin causing the blood sugars to raise, or if it causes low blood sugars due to the presence of the insulin, or if both end up happening, first low blood sugars then eventually high blood sugars.
I've heard the pancreas can also 'burn out' due to being forced to excessively produce insulin.
@@Rambutan. , how about athletes? They eat a lot of carbs. Especially tour de France cyclists.
@@travisli-rufus1949 They also burn tons of energy. They need carbs.
Thank you so much for these videos, I'm learning so much here! I wanted to ask if skyr would do the same as greek yoghurt? Here in Iceland, unflavoured skyr is much cheaper than unflavoured greek yoghurt.
One of my go to meals is soft boiled eggs, lox, spinach and avocado. I usually make it without cheese, but I really should do it with a slice a cheese sometimes. I am Jewish and keep kosher. We don't eat meat and dairy together and we also wait 6 hours between them. Eggs and fish are neutral, so I usually use that as a transition meal eaten 5 hours after meat, but I should try it as a dairy meal sometime.
Youre amazing thank you so much for your knowledge
Very helpful!!!
Your videos are the best and a life saver! 🎉
Thank you Autumn. I started IF because I found your channel. I like to know what to eat or not to eat and the reasons behind them. You are inspirational!
Yes 👏🏼 I hope 🤞🏻 can make you feel good 😌
She has a video of what she eats in a day. Everything she talks about she does herself
I love how you explain each process and how it helps, I think it is very important to understand all these processes, and as I study a career in which I see biochemistry I like to understand these processes and you explained it wonderfully. 😁💕

Hey Autumn, do you know if any of the meal kit services like Hello Fresh, have a good plan that will work with I.F.?
Great advice!!! 😇👍
Just found your channel and appreciate your science backed approach. Well I’m a guy and older and your comments on walking vs running triggered me to ask if you’re saying you would recommend NOT including exhausting HIIT routines in my weight loss efforts? I’m 57 and 180lbs looking to release about 15lbs. Should I then concentrate on walking/weight training and diet? And not bring in more anaerobic exercise like HIIT type circuit training?
Hi Zane! Welcome to the AENpeeps!🤓 HIIT can be used in a workout routine, the problem comes in when it’s used daily (just like with daily longer runs). Using HIIT strategically 1-2 times per week and allowing proper rest and repair between the workouts is essential when using HIIT.
Hi I started taking pre and probiotics and I read somewhere that they cause acne. Is that true??? I know this is off topic but I figured you would know and would it always cause acne or just at the beginning? Thank you for your videos. You’re awesome 👏🏼
Good info- thanks for doing... you mention fat but do we care about if it’s saturated fat and does does saturated fat raise your cholesterol?
Just started watching your videos. I’m in my 40’s live in OH and I work in an office I try to do at least 10k steps a day but have a huge problem with craving junk. Any videos you may have on the subject?
Awesome vids keep them up. 🤘🏻
Try intermittent fasting. Autumn has videos on why you should try it. Personal experience: high insulin and insulin resistance cause strong cravings. Fasting fixes insulin resistance (but it will return after a while if you eat high carb foods frequently). 👍🏼😎
Thank you very much
You're great, Autumn! I just found your channel, and I'm one week in.
QUESTION: What's a substantial vegan sub for Boiled Eggs, Yogurt and Cheeses? I'm meat-lover, but I'm beginning to lean more towards reducing my animal-based foods intake. I wonder if you have thoughts on this. Thanks!
-Colorado Carlos
I lost 70 pounds in 7 months. I eat lean meat and greens. I also fix me one cup of warm water with 1 Tbs. of organic apple cider vinegar with the mother along with 2 Tbs. of organic lemon juice. I mix that all together and drink it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. And yes I have hypothyroidism. It can be done. Losing 10 pounds a month is doing great in my book. It can be done.
How do I find the right granola? Also how could I make some without adding to much of the wrong fat and sugars. Thanks for sharing your videos. I just came across them and happy I did. 😊
Thank you! Can you please do a video on fighting menopause weight?
Hi, please will love to have your 21 days fasting meal plan. Thanks
Autumn, I'm a recent subscriber who finds your videos very helpful. I exercise and train 5 days a week, strength and cardio. Nothing on the weekends. I have Thalasemia Minor and recently menopaused and crave lots of chocolate ice cream and glazed donuts which I find extremely difficult to manage weight ..., If you have time and if it's in your area of work can you please maybe address this? Appreciate any insight/recommendations you may have please that may help me and others in the same boat. Thank you. I'm sure the insulin issue has lots to do with it as well. I feel I just cannot do intermittent fasting.
Love your content! So informative. Know better, do better😀
Hi Autumn! I really like your channel. I was wondering if you knew about the high oxalate content of several of the foods you mentioned? Chia seeds… almond butter and nuts are high in oxalates which is a concern for those of us with previous kidney stones. I would sincerely like to know your thoughts about this . Thank you! 🌷
Peop!e with health challenges need to make sure they are following the diet they need. She is probably the average healthy person. I have no problem with oral ages or my kidneys and think her info is great!
Can you discuss foods that are specifically vegetarian and vegan as well. Thx
Are these 10 things OK for pre diabetic reversal thank-you
Hi Autumn! I love you videos, especially this one. How about feta cheese? I know it is not a type of hard cheese, but I am Greek I gotta ask. Is it a good source of protein and is it in the same category qualitywise as parmesan cheese?
Thomas Delauer has a UA-cam on which cheeses are keto and he covers feta.
