Hevesh, you’re excellent at explaining these techniques. I’ve never picked up a domino in my life, but I feel like I can now; thanks to your video. Also, a cool, calm demeanor like yours combined with the natural rhythm of your voice makes for a soothing experience-you’re amazing.
thank you so much, I really appreciate that! to be quite honest though, I really really hate the way that I explain things in this video because I personally don’t think it’s that clear. I could have explained things in simpler, more detailed way with a more logical step by step process. There’s a lot I wish I had said differently or that i completely forgot to say. But maybe I’m just my biggest critic. For the record, we did this video on the spot so I didn’t have anything planned - everything was done on the fly. Next time though I should really write down each step. I’m glad you enjoyed though :)

My 4 yr old got his 1st box of Hevesh 5 dominoes for Christmas 2022. Tomorrow, he turns 5 and requested more. He studies your videos intently and has Mastered so many of your techniques. I wish I could send you a picture of his circle field, which is one of his favorite designs. It's helped him control his emotions because you said "it's ok falling is part of the building process".❤

Hey, great tut, and thanks :) I've been watching a lot of dominoes videos and decided I'm gonna make a few thousands myself out of left over wood (hard wood which are heavy) at my wood working job, and play around. Now, the tape lesson. That actually depends on both the dominoes and surface in which they're falling on. Plastic dominoes on varnished tables or very slick kitchen floors, good advice, but like say dominoes on concrete or very thin carpet, whether they're plastic or wood, I don't think it matters. Wood dominoes on concrete, nah :) Love your little tut though, and thanks again! ...wolfie

Kinda feels like cheating, BUT - I had a set up that I put a lot of time into that failed last week. Had I (been smart enough to have) taped a couple of select pieces it would have been smooth sailing, so.....I'll be using tape when appropriate.

Yep I've built that trick! It's not super reliable though so I haven't done anything large with it.

Hi lily I've got a question to ask of your domino rally's do you use a lot of tape to hold the dominos down?

I just watched your glow in the dark videos. You need to get either an artists light box, or whatever doctors call the box they use to look at x-rays. This along with your overhead light will charge both sides of the dominos simultaneously instead of the 1 side you are currently charging.
