Hi Zee! Your pickle jar is fabulous! I'm glad you're joining in. I've been having so much fun working up mine. Great idea to use minis you already have. The cowl I'm working on now, is from stash sock yarn that I wound into minis and re-filled my pickle jar😉. Being resourceful and using what you have is awesome!👍🏽🤩🤗

@@zeldanrj3 Yeah! I did use it the "wool" on my bias scarf, but then I decided to make the cowl pattern as well. I couldn't afford a jar or refill at the time, so I just used what I had. Honestly, I think it is a fun way to work from stash. After my cowl is done, the jar will probably get filled again LOL🤭💕.

Yaaasssssss!!! That would be perfect! Roll up your scraps.. like 20 or 30 rounds, and throw them in a jar! Pretty simple..

You know you can buy just the " pickles" as a refill pack? I think they go for $34.00 I'm crocheting a scarf with my pickles, and the colors are so pretty! But your idea of mini skiens is fun! I'm going to go and get a jar and put my minis in.😊😊

Do you have a POBox? I bet you have a bunch of followers who might have extra yarn or left over colors from finished projects that they would live to share with you. Lots of people need to de-stash and might love to send some yarn your way. We have all had those moments in life that force us to be frugal and minimize our expenditures, but this is the craft world and there is always more to go around and people who want to help other crafters to keep crafting!! Worst thing someone can say is no.

I actually do have the pickle jar from Aberdeen I got for Christmas and I also have a 50 pack refill I got from them too. My plan is to either make a scrappy cardigan or a scrappy blanket with all my minis at some point 🤭

I’ve been wanting to do these for my cancer clinic too. I actually have an appointment with my oncologist next week. So I think I might ask them if that is okay to make some up for the patients.

I wash my hands like a Dr, use my lavender hand sanitizer, and work on a table with a towel on top.
No cat, dog or human hair on my projects..
The patients have low auto immune, like me 😢 and the slightest allergy can turn into a full blown cold.. so I just take extra precautions..
It really is a lot of fun..
