This performance was extra special for Jade as he was taken completely by surprise by Mike Walsh who presented him {on behalf of Festival Records} with a DOUBLE PLATINUM AWARD for his album "JADE HURLEY'S 20 GOLDEN OLDENS" ... and a GOLD RECORD AWARD for his album which had only been released for 2 WEEKS, "JADE HURLEY'S MORE GOLDEN OLDENS". This had never happened before. Both albums achieved DOUBLE PLATINUM AWARD STATUS in New Zealand as well. Truly, Australian music and showbiz history.
