Jimmy i just want to say i appreciate your content, thank you for uploading.
Changed America? Come-on, only idiot bought play money and lost it all.
Only certain virus infected tulips were worth a lot. It caused striped pattern flowers. Regular tulips not so much. Still valuable.
I would even be happy with getting rich slow.
Usually takes 5-10 years
I would take “getting by, gradually” but wages havent gone up since i was a child
@@gamingwithils8686ill take some of that…but unfortunately you are throwing out a bogus number and timeframe we all know has no attachments to reality. I wish all it would take was 10years
@@gamingwithils8686 that’s what he said -_-, “ I’d be happy even getting rich slow.”
5-10 years would be perfect if you end up getting rich. Most of us work 10 years to then keep working with nothing to show for it until we expire
Or ever...
MY mother got cought in multiple MLM scheme companys and startet gaslighting everyone who said anything against it and practicly destroyed our family bond.
I feel for you. When I was young i never got why people join cults. Now that I'm an older I can see exactly why and am terrified of the human condition.
@@scrappycoco3641 Most people are a bit stupid. What can you do?
@@haveanotherpinacolada as i got older, I leared that everyone is trying to influence you ALL time time. And if you aren't lucky to have a strong family and a moral compass, you're pretty much over. I dont think intelligence matters very much
It's not a pyramid scheme, it's a reverse funnel system
💯✅👍
I got caught in an Amway pyramid scheme when I was 18, my parents got me to sign up for $1000, looking back now is was so fucked up 😂😢
Your parents?!? I hope you disowned them.
As I understand it, if you are to make it work to any degree, it's nothing like as easy as they make out it is. You have to put a lot of hard work in to it just to break even. Most of your profit goes to the guy above you. You only make your money out of those you recruited and in turn those they recruited.
Thanks. Shortly after school, after quitting my first job during a trial period (because I was treated more like a slave than an employee) I did a huge mistake of asking my then friend who kept talking about his "great job full of freedom and financial independancy" what it was that he did. Long story short, I burnt my mom's savings (luckily she didn't have that much but still) in Herbalife because they brainwashed me into thinking "I'll have the money back in no time with a huge profit" - too bad I tried to be honest and fair towards my customers - which was no way to make money in this business. It was no company, it was a cult...
Multilevel marketing is quite bad.. such a shame you got into it. 😢
I hope you can rise back, earn money with a job, save it slowly and keep developing your interests ❤
@@xavierrodestami40 It was a long time ago so I'm doing ok since then - but thanks ;)
@@strixcz Perfect then 👌
Nothing you want is ever going to happen. That's the real world. Your hair isn't red, people don't walk around on stilts. Maybe somewhere you can earn a living sitting around, drinking margaritas through a curly plastic straw, but in this world, you've got to turn up, log on and grind out.
@@haveanotherpinacolada LOL, what? Life has more colours than black and white. I'm sorry if "nothing you want is ever going to happen" is your "real world" - but that's your world, not mine, pal 😉
Over half of the UA-cam ads I get are these kind of schemes... if it's too good to be true it's most certainly never true.
Ads? What ads? :D (Firefox + AdGuard user - you're welcome.)
I got caught up in Herbalife for a few months over a decade ago but remember giving that same "it's not a pyramid scheme, it's an MLM" speech to a friend😂 Just glad I didn't lose a bunch of money, just mostly my time.
I actually made money on a scheme. Way back in the early 1970's when I was in the US Navy there was a scheme at the base I was stationed at involving US saving bonds. A guy gave you a list of 10 names, you purchase 2 25$ saving bonds and gave one to him and mailed one to the person at the top and scratched it off and put your name on the bottom. Then I got two others to do the same. The purchase price of the bonds was 18.50 and they matured in five years at 25$. Now I had two bonds and as you can guess nothing came in the mail but in five years, I cashed the two bonds in for a sweet profit of 13$.
Dayum boi! What'd you do with ur riches?? ;)
Also thanks for legitimately making me LOL at a youtube comment
Wow, you were almost as rich as that guy who won $1.9 billion the over day :)
People will forget…another scammer will come…you explained well at the beginning…
You should do an investigation into the hundreds of cryptocurrency schemes popping up left and right.
Yea, basically the scheme just went digital.
I am surprised people still buy into multi level marketing schemes they have not had a good few years.
So mlm is the rebrand of the pyramid scheme …ah got it. Cheers 😊
9:35 “because it’s built on the depth of your conviction, not the height of your logic” think about that
Your Logic needs more listening to these days than conviction.
The intro of this video describes Ethereum perfectly😅 ponzi of musical chairs
Gaslight, Gatekeep, Guilt trip
Ppl were stupid, now they know the price of stupid or having too much hope for richers or just alot of hope in general!
My parents sold amway long ago. We had so much of their crap around the house. Cleaners and stuff. Lots of books and folders full of propaganda. Seminars to go to. I even remember going to one when I was real little.
My dad fell for it when I was little, ended up becoming completely obsessed with making my family millionaires. Only ended up divorcing my mum and selling the house we had, leading to us all leaving home to live in the horrible crime-ridden frozen shithole that is Melbourne, and ended up trapped there thanks to the ridiculous price of living and my mother's abusive ex. Ever since that I swore that I would never make the same mistake, but I would make sure that my family have a stable life when I go.
My general mental heuristic is: was hard work and self-discipline required to create the product or service I am buying, and - also - WHO is doing that hard work and self-discipline and are THEY the ones getting paid proportionately and NOT somebody else? e.g. I just spent $32 for an academic mathematics paper I needed for my math research. It did not give me the results I had hoped for. But, there was absolutely no other way for me to unlock the knowledge in this particular piece of peer reviewed math research other than buying THAT particular paper. The author of the paper FINALLY got back to me about it, acknowledging a small but fortunately NOT fatal typo in the paper.
Yeah, my family vacations were Amway trips back in the early 90s. I remember going to local book stores with my dad and him talking to complete strangers. Opening line: "shot in the dark...."
Thanks for unlocking that memory....
The way I see it, if these people really had a way to get rich quickly and with very little effort, why would they want to share it (and therefore the money) with everyone? Bottom line, if it sounds too good to be true, it's probably because it's too good to be true. There's a word for this: scam.
I remember watching the hilarious Tom Voo seminar infomercials which came on at midnight back in the late 1980's, He was the butt of jokes.
How Juice Plus is even still a thing, blows my mind.
I see the attraction of these plentiful schemes but to your point, there’s only a finite number of people to scam once, forget twice or more.
Briefly worked for a 'charity fundraiser' that followed this model.
I was greeted by solicitors at the door to my workplace on the last day who asked me if I was the locksmith.
very true, keep on cranking!
This is very educational and entertaining. Love it
Also scary and depressing how my sociopaths are out there trying to take our money
One of your best videos. Cheers, mate.
Jimmy brudda is rising to the top id love seeing u make a vid on the process of u switching content and how u find it now u moved on from parkour
Recently stumbled upon your videos. Really enjoying them especially the Milton Keynes one. Keep it up dude.
The reality is that most people that sign up know it’s a scam but they’re looking to make a quick buck using the platform to scam others and in some instances their own family and friends
@@NickyG_vz it’s simply a scam
That is what happens when these people become desperate.. they are so desperate they are not even aware of their despair. It is surprising to think our daily lives are a blessing compared to the people who don't reach a hundred bucks being at a Multilevel scheme
Am Way reminds me of this gross tasting Fruit Drink some friends tried to get me into a pyramid scheme to sell around 2008. The drink was supposed to have all these magic health benefits. They dragged me to a conference just like the Am Way one with speakers that sold a better life. They even took me to a party at the house of one of the speakers that was at a mansion to sell the life to me. What got me out pretty fast was how expensive a case of this stuff was (like $200 for a case which is like $300 today when you factor in inflation). It was suggested to buy 7 cases. One for personal use, and six for samples/supply for people you recruit. I basically noped out as soon as they wanted that type of money from me. Never even bought a bottle.
Respect the grind. Such an awesome upload. Keep them coming
You know, topic is interesting, editing is well done, jokes are British (means funny) but I didn't get too much from this. I'd rather hear just 2 stories about certain scamers like Sergey Mavrody from Russia and that Italian Charles Pawnsee. The mind games, events, successes, fails and grand finale of each.
Charles Ponzi not Pawnsee
This video is excellent 👌🏼
Really well put together
Love when you do your American voice bro. You're a legend
Ur channel is great
Ironically the add before the video came on was some guy trying to sell me on Amazon automation. Its funny to see the growth as they realized that Amazon drop shipping is known largely as a scam.
WOOOO HOOOOO JIMMY's BACK !!!!
This video really helped me understand pyramid schemes!
Love it
Rich people NEVER, EVER teach other people how to get rich. Make that a permanent rule in your life. Rich people teach what they know...ONLY TO THEIR CHILDREN.
sick video as usual
the trick is to be fully aware that it's a scam and get out early.
The best investment I ever made was myself. I went to the gym and lost weight. Got rid of my old clothes and got some new threads. I changed my attitude and changed my life .
Some guy I used too work with made a bunch of money before moving to my current state (Midwest) he came from California, I heard through the grapevine he had money, we got close and he opened up about owning the campground down the road / making a butt load of money, I never asked how. A month or so goes by and he asked me if I knew was MMM was, at the time I was oblivious so he shrugged it off and didn’t bring it back up again, I did some googling and realized he probably scammed people for his money, now watching this video I know he scammed for that money. Sad he was such a cool dude before learning
YOUR THE BEST UA-camR I KNEW!
I love these videos but I wish he would come out with them more consistently
Holy shit, no wonder Tupperware has lifelong warranty; I never knew it was an MLM scheme.
Thought it was weird I had never seen their products on store shelves even though all parents of everyone I knew had at least a few containers....
I like how they parodied that in the movie Napoleon dynamite, where napoleon's uncle Rico ends up recruiting Kip to help him sell what was essentially tupperware. My favorite part of that was when Kip goes to run the bowl over with rico's van, and smashes it. "dangit" *drives off*
If you have to pay to join a company, its immediately a scam.
Please make a video/topic about the vitamins/supplement industry. It has lasting impact even today..
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 943 subs and > 800 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I got to team leader in one just after i left school , arcedia it was called rally and evrything
I do not understand why people actually do ponzi schemes, because it literally cant go on forever
6:25 guy on the left gotta pull up his pants man
As soon as the video finished I got some eon musk ad trying to sell me some investment thing!
I got ankle thing yesterday 😂
Working and Investing is the ONLY way to make money. Having a job or business, and investing in sound (solid) valuables like gold, and companies that have a solid foundation and history...is the ONLY way to make money.
Ponzi called his company SEC, the irony
Great work there, kiddo.
There is always something fishy about crypto exchanges. Get in and get out quick. The time from June 2017 to December 2017 was a great time to become a muilti-millionaire. Make sure you are not the one holding the bag.
Yes
herbalife ruined my mom's intestines. not touching the stuff ever after that. thanks jim.
Jimmy’s accents 😂😂😂😂😂
When I think about getting rich I'm wondering what unique product or service I can provide so people give me money for it. But it seems the majority of people think about money in terms of "how to get them?" lol.
His coverage is barely done by msnbc, bbc, cnn, etc
It seems like the economy now is just the golden era of grift.
yea it's gonna be really f-ing bad
It's tragilarious how blatantly the tates have ripped off amway
My mom's caught up with amway, sad situation
RIP his parkour videos
Jimmy man you’re content is fucking ace brother. Shoulda defo a vid on the Scottish NED subculture it’s some laugh
As someone who actually use Bitcoin for its actual purpose...ahem paying people...the rise snd fall of the price doesn't affect me because actual users don't leave the coins on the block chain. They have them as cash.
1:11 whos that guy? I want to the rest of that video! Sounds tragic and interesting!
From the title I was sure this was gonna be about Christianity
Always marco ❤
Cutco knives tried to get me to sign up….thankfully I didn’t really understand English so that ended the interview right then and there then found out how much scummy the company is later on
To the moon, lazer eyes.
Why were Charlie and his friend talking in an Welsh and Indian acccent?
Amway hurt and humiliated my family 😢
6:11 "I'll hire you so you can make money. You just need to pay me money!"
Like, bruh, if you don't IMMEDIATELY see the problem there, you need to re-take 1st grade math...
And btw, the "you can hire more people and they can hire people"... Hmmm, sounds a LOT like how sponsorships with channels work...
Don't trust mortals
2:39 Ringer for Andrew Schulz
Do you still do parkour even though you don’t make videos on it anymore?
Tax the rich, save the world
Where is the podcast link?
Here you go ua-cam.com/video/2dHTGZ4b__U/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Don’t sleep on the fact that his name is DeVos
Thumbnail change number.. 4, 5?😂
if it looks like a pyramid scheme, it's a pyramid scheme 😂
Has anyone heard of Team National? My mom was big into it and its literally beat for beat the same shit in this video.
Vemma bro
Please make more parkour videos
Dose anyone know about prime America?
If you want to make a lot of money but lack a moral compass, are willing to screw ppl over these schemes could work but you have to be early
Marcooo
If it sounds too good to be treu it’s not a scam guys trust me😮
Loove your videos and your American caricatures. Also, always found these cults gross and disturbing, just like I found religions to be.
I liked the original thumnail better
well today I learned who started the Ponzi scheme 😂
It wasn't even Ponzi that was running the first Ponzi schemes lol
The first well known large scale one was run by a chick, forgot her name.. probably would have helped if her name was immortalised some how lol

Referring to market bubbles as "various scams" doesn't show a lot of nuance in your analysis imo
