I have the Gen 3 50 cals. They changed the notch system to metal rather than plastic and silver over black. Gen 3 comes with the fade blade as well. Love Caliber products. No complaints so far. Definitely not a bulk remover. I use the Oster Octane to knock out the bulk.
The 357 is a rotary motor and it is a Chinese model if you go to ebay there's a ciwellu clipper and it is exactly the same for way less

Appreciate the knowledge guys! New version of the 50cal mags fix the click lever problem and they have more power (cant stop the blade on those). I also swapped the moving blade for a ceramic one and it's a game changer!
Did u ever use the stock blades on the new 50 cals for bulk removal or did u change to ceramic as soon as u got them??
@@jayhdz9856 I used them for a little while and they worked fine. They do require you to slow down because of the blade speed. People say they struggle with bulk but if you slow down on the strokes you actually end up with less passes so it's still cuts down bulk faster than your average rotary motor. The ceramic blade just helps for a smoother cut

@@jayhdz9856 honestly I just got some from Amazon (Ant the Barber suggestion) and they work great and it was only like $3. I can send you a picture of them if you got an IG.

I bought the original 50 Cal when it came out Great machine amazing battery life one of the best in the game I think. I just picked up the new 50 calibre mag do you mean the old one just a little bit better you guys should check that one out. I also have a 357 good clipper better for bulk removal. And the 38 special beard trimmer hits hard you should check that one out also.
I also have the new 50cal mags and a quick tip to help with the bulk removal and overall performance: ceramic moving blade! Game changer!
Honestly I heard that also the only problem is I live in Toronto Canada and I can’t get anything in our country I got a order it from the USA and that takes weeks maybe months to arrive and we pay huge premium on things of that sort.

Both are great! However, after using them for awhile the .50 is great for getting those lines out. The 357, in my opinion, is a much better option for bulk!

I've found that the .50 is great and fast between 1n2. But the 357 is better all around
