Reform UK leader Nigel Farage announced he is relinquishing ownership of the party ahead of its upcoming conference. Farage, who held the majority of shares in the privately structured party, explained that the setup was necessary to quickly establish the Brexit Party (now Reform UK) for its 2019 European election victory. He stated the structure also allowed him to prevent the party from being "hijacked by bad people."
