How do you avoid them on the other videos?
Your Best of 1986 is blocked in Australia
That’s too bad. Because airing their music probably increases music sales when people watch your videos.
just drop this song...
RIP to Marie fredriksson 1958-2019..I'm always 'spending my time' wherever i go to listening to your great songs..😢💖
Yes! Roxette is one of my most favorites. Almost Unreal still gives me goosebumps
I miss her so much 😢🙏
I was 20 and homeless living in a YMCA hostel. I met some of the greatest people I've ever met. There were people from all over the world that worked for major companies. I will never forget them. RIP to some of my friends that passed away. I love you all.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😪🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤💋🇬🇧
Reminds me village people song.
Thanks ... I almost cried when I saw "innuendo" and "The Show Must Go On" ... just for being the year Queen ended ...
Me too also when I saw the movie the great pretender
Queen will never end. That may have been the last year all 4 members were alive, but John Deacon is happily retired and Roger Taylor and Brian May have been touring with Adam Lambert. Queen is a lifestyle. ❤️
1991 was some year for great music. KLF, REM, Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, Michael Jackson.
Except there was still a lot of crap, just from watching this video. It was almost as if top 40 was trying to find that 90s sound we would know. I do remember summer of '91 though, lots of songs from that time featured in here
Guns N' Roses, U2, Sting, Crowded House...
Roxette
U2, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden.
Nirvana ❤
You all remember when we saw these videos on MTV? And the romantic ones like "You're in love" by Willson Philips on VH-1? Now it's nothing but reality shows. 😞
We should say, "I want my MTV BACK!" And have MTV Old School! I was sweet 16 in '91. I remember my high school crushes. 😍 😆 They are all married now with kids. Such great memories!
I agree 100%. The current version should be called CTV Crap Television.
I want my MTV (back)...whoops,wrong year.
Hangin' at the mall, goin' to the dance club, watchin' movies at the drive-in...I think I might cry
I loved 1991 turned 16 had a great summer.
Turned 16 also. Great year !
I had a blast of a summer,at one stage clocking up 50 straight nights out in a row between late July and the middle of September (not coming home at all on a few of them),and gaining a large new circle of friends and a girlfriend along the way. I was in the middle of a two-year college course, with a student grant not a loan and a holiday job,and had a 50% share in my own house as a joint-owner. Happy times!
Ha if u can remember it u wernt there
In 1991 was very beautiful music. I was in 7th grade and 14 in that time.
I was 12 most of the year and 13 in October in 7th grade in 2nd part of year. Better music then now.
I was in the 5th going into the 6th grade at age 12,What a great and magical time with Pop music back in 1991
I was born in 1991 and I don't know why I wanted to listen to music from the year I was born. Guess curiosity. Some pretty good music seems
I was 6 years old.
I was 2
07:27 Keanu Reeves... Great Song and music video from Paula Abdul.
1991 - in my opinion a very varied and diverse year in music history and a mix of styles from the past 80s and the electronic music of the 90s.
KLF, Dr. Alban, Mariah Carey, Crystal Waters, Sting, Queen, Erasure, Cher, New Kids on the block and last but not least Mark Wahlberg with an attempt to succeed in the music scene ..... luckily he then switched to the film industry ;-)
Thanks for sharing and the memories.
I turned 15 and was in Year 10 in Australia. 'Wind Of Change' by Scorpions and 'Right Here, Right Now' by Jesus Jones were standouts and bring back one memory each. I have, by and large, been a loner and 1991 was no exception. These two songs are candidates for the greatest song in world history - because of the events which inspired them. In any case, it was something of a break-out year for me. Nothing external but I remember feeling that I want to be brilliant. I appreciated watching this. Thank-you 'random'.
Wind of change simplemente la mejor
@@javierchavez764
Si. Gracias de Australia.
man. So many good songs in one year. Where have all the good singers and producers gone?
@@nickoderso how old are you? I grew up in the 80s and it was awesome
@@nickoderso ok. Thank god we have mp3 and Spotify so you can at least listen to all the good music
@@nickoderso of course. Love is like oxygen, Ballroom Blitz, Action
They came back to their planets.
They are still around but not supported by big labels. so sad that today music industry only loves dancers & bootylicious (performers / show). That's why we hear all music sounds just the same nowadays. just like common sounds of night club
In 1991, I had just finished my A Levels before going to university....surprised OMD were still around.. during the late 80s, the music scene was still pop dominated by big stars (Jackson, Madonna, Whitney) with new acts like NKOTB.
same here. it was such a great year in music that i was distracted and my A levels was less rhan stellar haha
I was graduating HS C/91! Great memories ❤️❤️❤️
1991 was such a crap year for me... 4 months in the hospital. But still, many of these songs make me happy!
Same for me.. i was 2 months in prison... I did nothin'
Extreme - More than words. Nobody writes music like this anymore. I miss the 80's and 90's so much.
That song was the ultimate crossover hit. Played on soft rock, hard rock and top 40 radio
Played that 100 times when my dad passed last year 😔
@@NarcSurvivor8 Sorry for your loss. You definitely picked a beautiful song to remember your dad.
@@chewey3rd thank you 😊
1991:
- I was 11
- on the way to Romania we've had a very bad car accident, and have been brought to a hotel in Hungary. There I was allowed to watch MTV, because of the accident. The songs of this year, that I remember the most, were OMD - Sailing on the Seven Seas / Zucchero - Senza una Donna / Extreme - More than words.
- I haven't heard anything from Queen until this year, but the death of Freddie Mercury shocked me deep inside. And since then I'm a huge fan
year of transition - 90s culture starting to form up strongly with the underground creeping into the mainstream
Grunge really hit hard as a first year undergrad...and then techno/britpop. But it would be fair to say the 90s were really all about techno. You could not go clubbing and NOT be exposed to techno music. It was everywhere and lasted until the late 90s.
@Jap Eye Jones hmmmmm, I was not.
Yep, it was all about EDM, or European Dance Music.
@Jap Eye Jones what the fuck is your fucking problem maggot?
Yes,100%
You say this like it was a Bad thing. Let's also count hip-hop and R n' B . I enjoyed it all! Still do
I was born in 1991. Great music!
Me too!
same
Me too
Oh my goodness!:)I love Seal's -crazy:) always a Metallica and Tom Petty fan!!I will have to look up Queen's-innuendo.there are so many great ones!:)you are a genius, some random guy!!just phenomenal!:)🎶💫✌️💜😇
Love R0XETTE!!
I love roxette too 😊
As boys 2 men say in their songs Its so hard to say goodbye to yesterday!!!!!!!!! 90's such era, good music best sitcom such as friends, full house, family matters etc great movies that are remake again these day such as jurrasic park, bad boys. And also you cannot forget the best NBA era off all time with the all mighty Michael Jordan!!!!!!!
Music is subjective but for me 1989-1999 was my favorite music years. Took me trough my 20’s nicely
Listening to it. February 15,22. 2:00am.
Can't let go and Emotions by Mariah Carey like them songs. 1991 this year all this songs reminds me my best friend O'Neal NEVILLE. We lived in Texarkana, Texas.
O'Neal if you are watching this. Miss you bro. Hope your doing alright. From ( Tweet Bird). Love you man. God bless you.
1991 was sad year because Freddie passed away
Ikr and when I tap this video I heard show must go on I fell sad
Thank God 3AM Eternal is in this list. I was driving and it came on and I realized it was 1991 and those babies are 29. I literally shuddered. Same way I did back in 2018 when it hit me, to my horror, that I was 16 years away from 60. Because 16 years ago...well it seems like yesterday.
I know that feeling.
I loved watching this video. That is an excellent music compilation from the year I graduated from high school.
and i was born
Me too. Graduated 1991.
Such a good year for music! Lot of this song are timeless
1991 was the greatest year for music in all of history. we got nevermind, the black album, blood sugar sex magik, out of time, use your illusion 1&2, and ten. my god was it a great time to be alive
No matter how much I love other songs, R.E.M's Losing My Religion beats everything else ngl
1991 was a great year especially Cathy Dennis - Touch Me (All Night Long) And Celine Dion Where Does My Heart Beat Now And my Absolute Favourite On This Selection from 1991 is Definitely Diana Ross - When You Tell Me That You Love Me Shes An Legend And wow so beautiful And her voice is so beautiful ❤❤❤
So many thoughts... Graduated high school in 91. This is so great! Well, more than not. I don’t remember half of these but the ones I do remind me why I’m stuck in the 80s. Of course MJ, Prince, Paula, BoyzIIMen, Extreme, Jesus Jones, EMF were solid but damn were we emotionally confused by this range of talent & title or what?! 😂 So did KLFs Transcentral song just go over my head until rn? 😯 The sleeper here that REALLY got me was Timmy T-One More Try. Like hot mess pining over my then bfriend. 😂 wasn’t prepared for that
timmy ts one more try was an awesome song wasnt it
Memories of my junior and senior years of high school. Great music, great artist singing in their actual voices instead of using or depending on technology like today's artists.
Thanks for sharing.
1. QUEEN - the show must go on
2. QUEEN - innuendo
3. NO MORE
I will never, ever let go of 1991.
Street Fighter 2 AND Terminator 2 came out that year!!
Best time of my life.
Every list is a good one with Queen as a part of it.
The year I remember most in my life. Graduated HS . Pearl Jam Ten and Nirvana Nevermind , GnR use your illusion albums were the OST. Desert Storm , Terminator 2
Miss the 90's
So beautiful playlist!
I can't believe that I am not the only one who likes Army of Darkness-Cruisified.
The band Ghost covered this song!
It charted in the UK in 1991,and again slightly higher in very early 1992.
Chose any year from the 90's and u will discover so much beautifull songs better than the whole last 19 years
Yes, pretty pink. I want my MTV. I had to say it in the early 80's I'll say it again. I want my MTV....... Again not the crap they have now. Much love from Wheeling West Virginia.
Smells Like Teen Spirit is conspicuous by its absence. It is the one song that had the most cultural relevance to not only 1991 but probably the entire decade.
It is featured in the 'Best Songs of 1992' video.
@@somerandomguy_music Oh good,I was about to ask where it was too. It soared into the UK charts in late November 1991,peaking at - only! - number 7. The arrival of grunge on our shores.
This was the year we sadly lost Freddie Mercury ☹️
For me the best year for music EVER. Such a diverse mix and many are now considered classic and still played today . ......If your old like me .😔
try listening to the 80s music you'll change your mind about 1991 being the best year in music ever
@@barrydavid6634 I grew up in the 80s I was born in 71. 80s was great but for me the best single year for music was 1990.
I’ve said the same thing before. What other year had Metallica, Queen, MJ, Nirvana, REM, Guns n Roses and more all released albums in the same year?
Really good overview, but to truly understand how great this period of music was (1991-1993. 1990 and 1994 were good too) you have to look at the albums. So much quality and new, fresh sounds and music.
ahh 1991, the year i turned 16 and left school, great memory's
Ah, 1991! The year I turned 18, and what I consider the end of my definitive years as 1991 culturally and musically was really where the 90's actually started. So many of these still had an 80's sound. Songs like "Save Some Love" by Keedy and "Hold You Tight" by Tara Kemp (both absent on this list) were on the charts in heavy rotation at the start of the year. But by the end of the year when Nirvana hit it all changed. Great list of songs and so many memories. I really miss those times now. The only thing that hasn't changed is the same shitbags that were in DC when I was a teen are still there. And I'm pushing 50!
Child of 1973?💪
72 😜🔝🔝🔝🔝
Born during this era (1990) but proud ! Grew up with good music ❤
Don't listen to music you hear nowadays but this music today haha
Stuck in the 90s
Me too, have 18 in 1991 greetings from Costa Rica✌🏻
I am also child of 73...
It was an awesome year in many ways. Music was great.
Excelente ❤️ amo esta época y mil gracias por compartir esta música volé por el tiempo que Dios te bendiga por esto gracias ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ saludos desde Puebla ❤️
Sophomore year.... Great memories. What an amazing time to grow up.
This video has pleased me ⭐.
oh man!!! i went to see robin hood that year! omg hi-five!!! i'm the exact same age as tony thompson! 'i like the way' is 1 of my very fave tracks of all time!
Ahem......You're missing "Summertime" by the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff--the one summer song that nobody could get away from....
Happy 30 years fellow members of the class of 1991!
Obrigado (thanks), achei a música Martika - Love...Thy Will Be Done, que eu procurava desde 1991/1992, quando eu tinha entre 9 e 10 anos, e não achava. Hoje, devido o internato do Corona Vírus consegui fazer algo produtivo que me alegrou, e me fez pagar esta dívida de quase 30 anos comigo mesmo.
finalmente um brasileiro rsrs
I was 13 years old. The music made me feel awesome!
I was 12. What a time to be young and carefree
So sad every time I see Whitney Houston I think what a waste. Thank you for your videos
That's nice of you, Andria How are you doing today and happy new year.
I think that's a bit unfair. It's sad she died at a relatively young age, but in her short life she made an impact which nothing can ever erase.
I was in 10th/11th grade when these songs came out. The best!!!!
Thanks a lot for sharing this I did not know My Side Of The Bed thanks to you I discover it and this is a great song, and Susanna Hoffs is so beautiful and talented!
yeah she was very popular as the lead singer of the late 80s girl band The Bangles which was an awesome group
As the decade wound down so did pop music. May it R.I.P.
Rock is dead now too :(
No way. the 2000s still had a lot of great pop hits. It was the 2010s when it started to suck.
I can't believe it,I searched all songs lists starting from 80 looking for the song "stars",the melody is in mind but can't remember the words or the name of the band, soo glad I found it😊😊
yeah it's simply red but he got the wrong year it was 1992 not 1991
@@barrydavid6634 It was a big hit in the UK already in late November and December 1991.
The last thing I want is rod stewart knocking on my door at 3am because I was listening to his music for free
rod Stewart had some songs didn't he
probably the last year when the 80s style dominated the industry
I lost my purity that year 🤭
When music was cool just a shame it when bad years later
1991 might have been the best year in music.
EVERYTHING I DO, I DO IT FOR YOU... BRYAN ADAMS WAS MY FIRST LOVE....♥️♥️
Aaaw Susanna hoffs =) love that song
What a great year for music
I Love 1991 because it's the year I was born and knowing that I belong to this decade of great successes.🎹🎤🎛🎼🔊
Me too
Jan 3 1991

Magical video. Thank you! 🥰🥰😍
Interesting. The biggest surprise from this year was Metallica, but there was some good stuff from Bryan Adams, Tom Petty, Extreme and U2. Might have to get some Roxette, Amy Grant, and Wilson Phillips.
Erasure !
Many of these songs were hits here in Brazil..Erasure Seal R.E.M Extreme
Got my radio Christmas 1991...any song from 91 and 92 is precious to me.
Oh man the year I got my driver’s license. Every single one of these reminded me of driving somewhere.
Even 'I'm too sexy for my car'?
@@anSealgair Especially “I’m too sexy for my car”! 😂
Sure, 91 was a great time for music and pop culture. I was in middle school at the time.
Creative videosss ❤❤❤wonderful songs
Classic Euro dance that's still hitting hard now, but my god the 90s was different styles here and there!..that's why I love the 80s and 90s because the variety was wide
Pure nostalgia! 👌 First year at high school! 💪
Good collection.
1991 BEST SONG Queen - The Show Must Go On
Everything I Do I Do It For U - Bryan Adams is no 1 for 5 or 6 week in that year
16 weeks in the uk
he ended up being #1 for the entire year of 1991
Black or white was a damn spectical! It was everywhere. Candy backpacks movie theater gas stations commercials. Mj was the man
Brilliant. ❤️ 💯
So many good songs
I used to watch Michael Jackson - Black and White like 100 times when I was a kid
Roxette RIP
some of this music reminds me of that movie A Night at the Roxbury, 😃 anyways it also reminds me of high school and ditching School😔
Susanna Hoffs!! The sexiest female artist in history!! BAR NONE!
Thanks autoplay! I guess I'm spending a while on one of my favorite channels. It's a good day =)
