1997 is the first year of my life that I can remember well (I was mostly 5, and turned 6 late in the year). I remember having a blast playing outside all the time with my brother and my friends, going to Pre-K/kindergarten, watching Disney movies and Nickelodeon shows like Doug and Rugrats, and going over to my best friend's house and playing dress up or Barbies, and visiting my grandparents. I definitely remember some of these songs being on the radio at that time, and it takes me back. I miss being a kid!
I was 14 turning 15 in 1997, No doubt, BSB, Spice Girls, NSYNC, Savage garden, Robyn, Will Smith and the eurodance hits were the "must have" of any teenager in that era.
I am eternally grateful, I finally found a song for 22 years ago, when I was 7, and I only had a sound in my mind (White Town - Your woman), now I can rest in peace. thank you so much!!!!!
I was 5-6 years old in 1997, so it's the first year that I have pretty significant memories of. I remember hearing a lot of these songs on the radio, and now when I listen to them it just makes me miss being little!
Another great video. I had just had my first baby in 1997 so some of these songs passed me by. Some great tunes though. Some good tunes in the 90s but the 80s will always be my favourite decade.
Ah, "Barbie Girl" - I remember how controversial that song was - and still is. All those little girls singing it had no idea what it was really about. The music video certainly didn't clue you in either 😏
These were the best times...i was 13 in 1997...i was in chicago.. these songs played so much on the radio...so many memories!! I remember i had also started reading goosebumps and fear street during those times and these songs used to play in the background on my music system!!!! I wish i could go back time!!!
I thought I had commented on this vid. I was 9 in 97. But get this. Whilst listening to Sunny Came Home and Every Day Is a Winding Road which you didin't add to the list my mind emagined the hi school girl Erin C O'dell I met in 2002. Seriously. My mind was blown when I put 2 and 2 together later. Oh man Erin was everything I'd emagined to those tunes. I wish my mind had put it all together at the moment though. Darn.
Oh i really remember Lovefool by The Cardigans first of all because it's a really beautiful song. And because it was the very first song that i heard with The Cardigans and Nina Persson in 1997 when i was 4 years old. Because Nina's voice is so unique and cute that i falled completely in love with her wonderful and unique voice in 1997, and today The Cardigans is my absolute favorite rock band of all times, and Nina Persson is my absolute favorite singer songwriter of all times, because she is really really talented and amazing, and i really really love her voice and her music. 😍😍😍
I used to listen couple years ago only the songs from 1997 because my former best friend was born in 1997, while I was born in 1998... I loved him so much like a brother, that's why for some time I used to listen only the songs from 1997. Even though we are not friends anymore, these songs will always remind me of him.
I'm from 1988, and many of these songs I've heard during my childhood and teenage years, but I've been shocked quite some times. Some of the songs, I had no clue, who were singing, until I saw this compilation. To be honest, this compilation can't get enough likes. Also, I found it funny to see Rammstein in this playlist, I didn't expect THAT!
The Bee Gees actually came back in 1987, with the album _ESP_ (known for _You Win Again);_ the following year, they released the album _One,_ which was in memory of their youngest brother Andy. In the early 1990's, their father also passed on, but Barry survived cancer, and their album _Evolution_ (known for _Secret Love)_ was released; then in 1995 they released _Size Isn't Everything_ (known for _For Whom The Bell Tolls)_ before releasing _Still Waters_ in 1997 (where _Alone_ came from). As you know, Maurice Gibb passed away in early 2003. Like Run-DMC with Jam Master Jay's passing in 2002, the band no longer performed as the Bee Gees. Robin Gibb did a tribute to the Tsunami disaster of 2004, while in 2006, Barry Gibb collaborated with Sir Cliff Richard for _Fields Of Gold_ for the latter's album _Two's Company._ Robin Gibb passed away nine years after Maurice, on the 21st of May, 2012 (3417 days after his twin brother).
I became a mother for the first time in 1997. I was 17 when I learned that I was pregnant and thenI had a shot gun wedding a week after I turned 18. My best friends where preparing for high school graduation but I was flung full force into parenthood and being a wife...Great times, great times.ha.haa.but at least the music was awesome during all that Drama and insane days.
It's fun looking back at this, since this is when I first remember music from, but I still wish I'd grown up in the 80s instead! Seems pretty clear that was the ultimate decade for pop culture.
Omg, so many pure hits. I was 17 then and fell in love with Agnieszka. But she didn't know that :( So sad, as she became so smart, multilingual and beautiful woman.

The 90's were the best! Miss it all the time!
True 👍
1997 is the perfect 90s year. The year that defines the 90s best.
Not only music but also the start of the wwf attitude era and masterpiece movies like titanic. 1997 the best
@@grantruesdale3504 spot on. 1997 was the best year. Titanic is the most watched movie of the 90s!
Not at all. There's a lot of cringe songs aged like milk.

Eurodance was pretty much dead after 1994/95. The 2nd half of the 90s were more house/trance/disco oriented.

Sometimes, 80's songs look so dark and 90's songs look so sunny
Hahaha true 😂💗
That's what I thought IN the 90s
No body beats the 80s era. 😍
90 's was totally sunny. Even the clothes we had were full of colors. I miss my dear sunny decade. 😍😍😍
