Yank grappler is a different upgrade path for the grappler. Swing grappler is the other one. You will be able to get two grapplers and upgrade each to a yank and the other to a swing.
I'm pretty sure later in updates and stuff, you can go around and find multiple grappler parts. Make a couple level 1 grapplers and then I think you can have a normal grappler, swing grappler and yank grappler. Not entirely sure on that though
