I’ve 100% the sky walker saga and man was it long and tedious. It took me a year with 97 hours of on and off play. The story was fun but the open world collectibles and side missions were a massive chore that just completely blended together to me. It’s only grace for me was I could play it and finish it while my newborn slept on my chest while my wife got some much needed rest.
I've been playing Skywalker saga with a friend for over a year now, we have a session every couple of months or so, and we're going for the 100%. I don't think I'd play this game alone, but sharing it has been a blast! Especially breaking the game's puzzles, as there are often ridiculous unintended ways to get collectibles. And even though the comedy in the main story is a bit overdone, the post game has many hilarious moments, some of the extra missions have us the biggest laughs we've had in a while. And I must say, I hoped you would've talked about Star Wars Lego 3 as well, imo it's the best game in the series.
The jokes in complete saga were subtle, it’s normally visual comedy. Skywalker saga tries too hard to be funny and makes cheesy reference jokes constantly, which gets really annoying and stale. Also imo Lego games work better without voice acting, I prefer the gibberish they speak in the old ones. I know theres an option for mumble dialogue but this game clearly isn’t designed for it
This video was amazing, and that talk at the end made me tear up, I can tell how much you love this series and your videos, keep up the good work. peace
I have 100 %d this game. It's definitely a get out what your put in kinda game. Definitely got repetitive by the end but there's also something kinda relaxing about the simple cycle of: find the puzzle, switch to correct character type, solve the puzzle, move on to the next. You get lost in it. Kinda wonderful...
I am sorry to say, but I REALLY hate LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga. Not only does it treat Star Wars fans like idiots, but the jokes are just not funny. There’s just too much heavy censorship that ruins the story plots and point of Star Wars. For example some key scenes involving character deaths have been ruined by censorship and awful gags. A few scenes I can think of Order 66, Cantina Shootout, Padme’s death, Anakin to Vader Arc, etc. I’d say more, but everyone here knows what I mean. Nuff said. Less if more, and this is why I love TCS. The jokes are funny, but don’t ruin the story. The game still shows character deaths and arc in a silly but still serious way. Not to mention, it doesn’t treat fans like children or idiots. For example, Order 66 was removed, but still mentioned in some way. The game tells us how clones shoot down their Jedi generals in the field. We also see some humor post Order 66 during the Jedi Temple level, where cloned take on Jedi robe disguises; a literal scene for scene remake of the deleted Clone Jedi scene from ROTS. It’s both hilarious and emotional, and the expressions say it all. We don’t need dialogue to tell a story. Show don’t tell. That’s another lesson I want TT games to remember. SW TCS tops TSS by a hyper engine.
Would like to see a video on Lego City Undercover. If memory serves it really is the turning point for Lego games, for better or worse. First game with voiced cutscenes, open world exploration, way too many collectibles, etc. I liked it when I was a preteen a lot.
Lego Batman 2 was the first, and I would say it was a great jump forward, but also one step back. Yeah we got more human like Lego games, but the whole point of Lego is not human.
Can we talk about how SINFUL Luke's double jump is?! Why doesn't he have that buttery flip from the OG Lego Star Wars? I will not forget that and I will not forgive that!
Tbh skywalker saga is propably my favorite game of all time. Not even being funny. But i fully understand why it felt tedious and why some people did not enjoy it. I am currently 100%ing it for the second time, im just that infatuated with it. I wish it made the level design better and characters more unique from the rest of their class but there was so much love put into the game that i can just overlook past those flaws. Great video tho!
The game sucks. I pre ordered it, played it for about 2 hours and never touched it again. Couldn’t even refund as it was a digital purchase. The levels are pathetic, no variety, no complexion, just straight filler bullshit. Walk one place, do a terminal, walk another place, shoot a target. That’s it. The formula is completely screwed. It takes barely anytime to complete an episode because of how barebones the actual missions are. They obviously focused on the open world aspect more which was the complete wrong direction to go in because the open world is just as boring as the pathetic excuses of missions.
i love lego games in general but you just described how i felt about every lego game. Fun, but, all games, ever since the original TT lego game are just like that to me. The only reason I still play skywalker saga is I can geek out over the hub worlds.
If Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga had a new game plus it would make up for the lack of wanted replayability. The only reason I feel like people give it a bad rap is because of that. It's easy to compare and contrast with the first 3 lego Star Wars games, but even they have their differences that fans will blindly ignore just to hate on the new thing because it's not like the old thing. If you look at the new lego Star Wars game like it was your first lego Star Wars game It's not hard to find issues with the first 3 lego Star Wars games. But if you're like me you appreciate all 4 for what they did right and are less negative towards what they did that you didn't like.
the skywalker saga lacks a lot of classic features, one of those being the character creator, it isn't just a case of nostalgia blindness, the game is lacking in comparison to its predecessors
The difference between the cutscene humor in the different games is that in Complete Saga, the joke came from characterization. In the Skywalker Saga, the joke is that it’s random.
Definitely worth playing, especially if you know the show on which it’s based. It’s familiar for Complete Saga fans but shakes things up just enough to feel like an evolution.
To add to these replies, specifically, it follows the events of the first two seasons (since that's what was out at the time the game was made). There are also some rather interesting secrets and unlockables, but I obviously won't spoil them here. ❤
I wished tt games will have dlc levels and hub world 🌍 that you can visit after the dlc level. And example visiting Ben knobi’s house and Honda’s hut I hope that in the next lego video game they will add set destination and add more interior buildings and you can visit your favorite locations and set Destin will be there forever ♾.
I 100% the Skywalker saga, it was repetitive and long, however I found it kinda relaxing, especially listening to the music and exploring the worlds of my childhood, the levels were the worst part, and the best part of complete saga, the explorable world of complete saga was good and iconic but Skywalker saga won me over thier, my overall thesis, the world of the Skywalker saga with the levels of complete saga would be my perfect game, maybe add 2 more levels for each movie, cause I thought their were level potential in the Skywalker saga that they skipped over
I enioyed my time with skywalker saga, but i feel like my biggest issue was that it didnt even attempt to uphold and respect the series and its legacy, even though thats what the marketing, and even the games intro demonstrates. Rather than retelling star wars with a bit of tongue and cheek charm, its just a goofy, hours long parody sketch that's allergic to having any more intensity than a Saturday morning cartoon.
Oh and can't forget that episode 3 you don't fight whoever you're playing co-op with. Instead one of you is fighting Anakin, while the other is r2d2/c3p0?
This is what annoys me about the “Skywalker” saga, you hardly can do anything interesting. It’s just walk around and collect kyber bricks. Rinse and repeat.
Omg im almost having orgams on disagreeing with you dude.... This os the best lego game ever, and i want the gameplay overhauls into the next lego games also fuck the puzzles just make the game harder and more combat centered

Love how wholesome that ending was. Then bro was like "but the complete saga is better" couldn't agree more

The original game Is better, but the graphics need to be improved.
@@andreadrabik635There are _mods_
They're amazing
Lego Lord of the Rings did it better they could've just kept the original 6 added 7-9 update graphics
@@andreadrabik635 Honestly for Lego games, the fancier the graphics get the less the non-Lego stuff blends in with the Legos.

I like how there’s no footage from the sequel trilogy in the Skywalker Saga 🤣🤣🤣
I mean they are amazing at TT but even they have limits.

Talk to me about your genuine opinions of Gunship Cavalry (The mission of flying on Geonisis)
Somewhat annoying and mercifully brief.
What do you think of LSW3 though? Nobody talks about it and I think its on par, if not better than TCS.
Can't say I've played it, but it definitely sounds like I should try it out!
Personally i love the SWS way more than the complete saga but i might like this video even more. Great content my man. Keep it up.

The Skywalker Saga deviated from the Lego game formula, and honestly was worse-off for it. The levels had zero energy most of the time.
I strongly disagree
