Can you tell me then why there are two instances in my area where ducks unlimited built dams that backed water up onto adjoining landowners and caused water to COVER one road and saturate another major road bed. Did you know that in my state it is illegal to purposely back up water on an adjoining landowner? Unless you guys want to take responsibility for the current and future damage to the roads that were flooded I suggest you get the problem fixed right now before they get worse. The laws here also state that the effected landowners can sue you for $10,000 per day in damages. By the way ducks unlimited did not work with anybody on either of these instances. They did not contact any municipality about the structural stability of the roadbeds nor did they procure an agreement with the upstream landowners that they flooded. For an organization that claims to be doing good things you are sure screwing a lot of people over.
Joe Brinkman contacting the regional ducks unlimited headquarters hasn’t done any good. Even though they fired their “wetland biologist” that was the one in charge of the projects they feel they are above any laws. They have not done anything to resolve the problems they caused. They have no regard for county, state or federal laws.
