I like the song. I'm not sure that after 2020 we really need a 2021 Eurovision song that has some deep message. Give me something to dance and upbeat and I'll be happy.
I guess there is always something for someone, in this big contest. I love this entry, because I live for the bops and danceable tracks. Sometimes I like a good power ballad but I mostly prefer uptempo songs.

No need to reinvent the wheel. Come on! We are going through hard times due to the global situation. I think we are in need of some basic bop that just makes us dance and forget all the bad stuff. By the way, that high note at the end is truly something.

I really like it. The blares are great and I think there could be a real "meme" moment if for example she got ice cream cones (or something similar) dancing in the background. Also not going to lie, I would love some of Natalia's sugar

Georgina, I appreciate your honesty. For me.- YIKES! Sorry everyone but remove the music and the ?song? is done. There is no value in the lyrics and the music is nothing special; neither is the vocal performance. I think the track and the video are a bit over-produced.

I feel like i've heard that exact same beat before
Still one of my most Eurovision songs . One mistake you do if I may say ( the only mistake) , is that you pay attention to lyrics on Eurovision entries . Most countries don’t speak English as their main language so it’s mostly their language translated in English or someone tried to write a song in English but not being native , speaks euro English ( Roxette and ABBA did the same thing so it’s not a Eurovision only thing) . Also it’s not a competition for serious lyrics especially on dance songs . The beat , the video , the voice, the choreography , the dancers , the styling . It’s all there , you were definitely too harsh.

Here is a question - by the title of the video, it's a vocal coach, but but the content, it's a video critic rather. Sounds like it needs to be centered more around the singer's vocal performance rather than content of the clip ... or change the title appropriately.

Georgina I am the same as you I wasn't feeling it either it was a weird video
It's the kind of thing you could mindlessly listen to, but I think where it falls apart is the chorus actually. The middle 8 is so good in comparison and then instead of taking you even higher, like a chorus should, it just goes back to being reminiscent of the verses again. It modulates up and down but never actually hits you with any kind of killer chorus. There is no 'killer' moment really, it's just monotonous

lyrics are not important in Eurovision, they even present songs that are in languages nobody understand so the lyrcis are never that important
Georgina....you made me laugh hard. You said all I was thinking. You reaction was so witty it seams staged. Not harsh.
In retrospect and over 7 months on from Eurovision 2021, I can say that Sugar was my least favourite entry among the qualifiers and I wish Romania (Roxen) or Croatia (Albina) had qualified in its place instead. Oh well... there's always one of those songs you personally consider really overrated.

Just did my review...on the Eurovision video.
To sum it up...
This had Brittany Spears written all over it. It was a light-hearted romp, cheesy, but a good tune.
Much better than M.I.L.F. and WAP...which won a few awards...
Still don't get the amount of dislikes the Eurovision video has. It's not that bad. Kind feel sorry for her, really.
